  1. I'm hoping some of the signings were subject to a medical and come with a return to sender address.
  2. I do like this - would be even better if the band was a complete 360o
  3. All good things come to an end. McInnes has stabilised Aberdeen and got them to where they should be. The issues is there was no where else to go - they won't be top 2 ever. Both Aberdeen and McInnes need a fresh start. Makes sense that they've parted company , bring in. a new manager and assess the squad before the end of the season.
  4. these individuals should be ashamed of themselves. Shane on the police for allowing it to happen - wasn't exactly a surprise.
  5. agree - see us to safety first please and then sort out the squad for next season. His credibility increases for simply saying he like round pegs in round holes , eg Cole is a centre forward . Hurrah for an attitude that has specific people for specific positions.
  6. 2 more wins would give a huge sense of relief - preferably against Killie and Hamilton. Glad to be in the position we now are.
  7. we've made massive tactical changes since those 2 games. No more tippy tappy coming out of defence - that's really helped move us forward. Crawford and Roberts (2 players I wasn't that keen on) have also made a great impact. Not putting Gallagher straight back in the team has also been a good (and quite brave) move. He looks like a manager who learns from his mistakes - glad we have him.
  8. the last 3 games are much improved. Credit to the manager for finding a way to make the 4-3-3 work for us .
  9. his punishment is a contract extension
  10. my grandad was one of the scouts at the club and he always spoke incredibly highly of him. When he returned to Well he remembered everyone by name and really had a positive impact on them all. I'm too young to remember his time at Well but loved his enthusiasm and spirit. Like many have said it was clear he was a Scotland, Liverpool and Motherwell man.
  11. on paper it can stay - on the eyes it's been god damn horrible - other than perhaps a handful of games.
  12. Not sure if Livi have better players but they have proven to be a better team than us thus far, hence they are 5th and made it to a cup final. I admire their consistency in doing the free stuff well. They work hard, play as a team and win more than their fare share of 2nd balls. We will need to match the free stuff should we wish to get anything from the game.
  13. loved the post match interview. good pair of bawz from GA not to get drawn into his sending off.
  14. well done lads. after some poor weekend displays the puts the jam back in my donut. Huge 3 points for us. Good to see Magloire beginning to settle in the team and Lamie being played at centre half. I do feel for players being played out of position.
  15. this guy Roberts is a waste of space - no way he'll score a second (hint hint )
  16. strongest subs bench we've had for a while Hope to see Lawless as some stage.
  17. he was excellent in his first season and like others a shadow of himself this year. can't help but wonder if lockdown effects him and he can't see his family etc up north. He looks like someone who's struggling with life. Can't see him playing many more games for us.
  18. It's not a like for like position. Roberts looks like another striker who wants to be central not wide. I'd rather play Lawless wide and have a 2 up front from Roberts/Cole/Watt/Long Although Lawless hasn't even played - yet he's grown in stature since we initially signed him.
  19. he's been played out wide and many appearances as a sub. His interview was interesting - he clearly wants the number 9 and to be played through the middle . He's the most likely person we have to put the ball in the net. Completely agree that out of position he doesn't work hard enough and perhaps thats enough reason to drop him. Personally I'd have given him a handful of games in his position to prove himself but I'm not the one seeing him in training etc every day so got to trust the mgrs decision.
  20. it's possibly more important to keep the form than to get much from the game. What team will turn up - the one the battled mid week or the one that rolled over the previous 2 games. I don't expect a lot from the result but I do expect more of the battling qualities that we showed in midweek. Only glamour of hope is Hibs have won 4 games on the bounce and due to drop points.
  21. Given he's 30 years old, he has a one time only to get to a major championship . I completely agree with you, he'll want to be back as soon as possible.
  22. Completely agree and know this isn't a popular view. He'd be my preferred choice through the middle. I think he's much better than Cole and would bang in more goals.
  23. in essence 3 wins between now and the end of the season and we're likely to be safe. I remember pre season that I thought this would be an outstanding season for us ..........(and sigh)
  24. Polworth will be finished as a Motherwell player - doesn't offer enough. Long - should only play in the traditional no 9 jersey. Either Cole or Long but not both. Crawford works hard and a decent squad player - no better or worse than Grimmie.
