we lost this game when we threw it away in the first 10 mins.
Same players cost us stupid goals and no way back.
Irrespective of how hard a task lastly has some of these players should never have been given a game
I'd play Hastie - I know he's not a fans favourite for many reasons but we need width and he offers that. He and Polworth are the only players likely to offer anything creative in midfield (until we get new signings )
Assuming Las had input into the first team I can't conceive that he's the right person to move us forward. I seem him as a mini Robinson rather than having his own clear vision.
He'll need to set us up very differently in formation/personnel to convince many that he's the way forward.
Given the current squad and time of year it would be prudent to bring in a safe pair of hands to see us through until the end of the season.
Similar to when we brought in Craig Brown - he knew what he was doing and got the most of the squad. To be clear I'm not stating Brown but someone in that mould .
I don't mean to be horrible as Lasley has been great for Well over the years. I can't help but think he's been part of the problem - unless he makes significant changes to personnel or formation I suspect we'd get more of the same.
we were the better side but we don't have any control or structure to the team. Forwards have to come far too deep , we create very little as we can't string any passes together and have very little movement
I think the Leeds 4 - 1 - 4 -1 formation would work for us
Carson
ODonnell Gallagher Ohara Carrol/Lamie
Maguire
Gimshaw Polworth Campbell Hastie
Watt
Could easily adapt to other formations and bring in Long/Cole/Lang
I'd like to see us give both Mcguire and Hastie a run of 6 games to see how they do - they need a chance to show if they have what it takes.
I don't even know Mcguires best position - should he partner Gallagher or is he better as a hold midfield player.
