  1. I'd rather see more movement in players coming in. Happy for White and others to leave but we need something to fill our cups of optimism - some talented midfielders please
  2. Penalty aside I don't believe we were hard done by and I don't blame the referee for us not taking anything from the game. The ref didn't cause us to lose an early goal. Yes we should have had a penalty. Aberdeen had what looked like a perfectly good goal chalked off.& 8 shot's on target v's our 3. Our keeper was excellent and kept it to only 2-0.
  3. agree about the midfield - I think O'Hara has been pretty decent and adaptive but that's about it.
  4. we need replacement asap - meanwhile I'd drop him /let him leave. Watt could play that role in the interim.
  5. I don't believe we have a hope of over turning the red and frankly don't believe we should appeal. Polworth got knocked over and the ref played advantage - perhaps the Aberdeen player should have been booked. After advantage was played the ref came back to Polworth - in what looked to see if he was OK. Polworth was on his knees but facing the ref and must have said something. His fault, total idiot for mouthing off, he's clearly someone who's unhappy in life. I think he's the most creative player we have but his attitude is poor - if he wants to move back up North then we should let him go now.
  6. we could pretty much replace the full mildfield - some who create chances for strikers strikers who can score 1 every 3 games and replace much of the defence other than that we're looking solid
  7. im not sure they saw it - think thats part of the problem - if they had there would have been claims and made it more difficult for the ref. Personal view is ref's get an easy ride without fans in the stadium or lack of VAR. For example I'm not clear why Polworth got sent off - the Aberdeen player should have been booked for taking him out - the ref played advantage and then set Polworth off - there was nothing to suggest Polworth had foul/abusive language to the ref. And it cost us this game - there needs to be clarity from the ref on this one
  8. Agree completely Summary We started terribly , didn't defend set piece - going 1-0 down is always a tough to come back from. Aberdeen cut us open several times After their goal we were the better team and could have equalised maybe even taken the lead. Started the second half quite poorly, got a man sent off. Which was game over. Our defending at short corners was a disgrace.
  9. good point - TexanWellfan mentioned in an earlier post that moving him to midfield could be an option. That could work, he's an intelligent player.
  10. I like Watt as he's a grafter and offers IMO a lot more than any other striker in terms of all round play. But he has 4 goals to his name this season - that's simply not good enough for a centre forward.
  11. I need to drink from your cup my friend - need something to give a level of optimism
  12. agree - every week it's hard luck story of woes - we create our own problems. Not defending a set piece in first half + polworth + 1 man at short corners all causing us. not to mention our lack of real opportunities
  13. smith does look decent - we should have scored their
  14. aberdeen are wise when to fall down and feign injury - get stuck in lads
  15. we sit far too deep - can't ever be a good tactic to let players into you box
  16. he needs to do something to react to the red card - could have taken Cole off but not much difference
  17. Polworth was close to being set off in the first half - over very little. akin to the behaviour long gets slated for
  18. we grew into the game after a poor start and going 1 down. so if we take Seedorf off - will it be Hastie or Smith who comes on ?
  19. happy to see Campbell playing further up the park . We need more in midfield - Campbell and Polworth both playing well but we we need more bite in there
  20. c'mon Well - we deserve to level this game up
  21. we don't look at the races today - look more the team from 4+ weeks ago
  22. Seedorf playing suggest GA's determined to play wide. Can only assume Lawless is injured/sick.
  23. we did go through a spell of bringing in some excellent signings. Likes of Randolph, Ruddy, McManus, Mcfadden , McDonald all felt like strong calibre players. Equally I remember Sutton and Higdon being written off as uninspiring - if Smith can follow in their footsteps , rather than some of the more recent signings we'll be doing well
  24. here's hoping he can make a difference - wonder if we can ship out White somewhere on loan.
