  1. Absolutely bizarre stuff from the refereeing/var team tonight. Giving the red card is one thing...but having the ability to 'have another look' and then double down, is quite another. Totally baffling stuff and another black mark against VAR for me... Less said about Killies penalty appeal, the better. Again, what are the VAR folk looking at? On the game, we looked jaded, well off it and didn't really ever control the game at all. A point is a decent outcome
  2. We've been on the receiving end plenty times...whether the refs admit it or not. You're also stretching the truth by saying that it cost Rangers the game...plenty of things can happen during the spot kick (that was never awarded) and afterwards. For me, VAR was introduced as a tool to take away the dubiety...but we've literally spent days listening to differing opinions on this one decision...its tedious in the extreme. I would literally only use VAR to see if the baw has crossed the goalmouth and allow the referee to referee the rest.
  3. I agree...its a load of shite, and the hours of utter tedious discussions on Sundays cup final prove that. That said, I see no way that we will ever see the back of the system being involved in the game
  4. Ayr Utds new stand cost circa 2million I'm sure with another 6million available we could get something decent
  5. Being honest, I thought we played well and were the better side up until we lost the 2nd goal...really unsure why that wasn't stopped for a head knock?? After that we fell to bits...having a wee boy as captain is mental, because at times like that we need someone to grip the whole team and get them re-focussed.
  6. Can't be many cup winning captains (particularly from a Club that doesn't win much) who is so roundly loathed by the vast majority of the support
  7. They're the only folk coming out of today with any credit...hats off to them
  8. In isolation. Based on this one game. You can't be anything other than negative. It's been atrocious from start to finish with the only thing being open to interpretation being the reasons for it
  9. What's that? Folk commenting on how absolutely pish we've been and how negative our tactics are?
  10. Getting what we deserve here, absolutely heehaw...not one player Getting pass marks
  11. You can have all the possession you like, but it's pointless if you're completely toothless
  12. My word that was a horrible 1st half of football
  13. Have you watched much of Shankland this season? Add in , 'pish', 'lazy' and 'uninterested' to 'fat' and that's my take on him...other than that, he's no very good either. Not for a 2nd saying that Dykes is much better (if at all) but again I wouldn't be hanging Clark for choosing Dykes over Shankland, or vice versa for what it's worth. Our striking options are all very poor at that level.
  14. As I've said elsewhere, I'm not a massive fan of Clark, and I could have cracked his jaw if I had bumped into him in Germany in the Summer, but I'm a bit puzzled by your take on this, and others to be fair. Doak plays in a position that we are literally completely bereft of anyone playing at any sort of level, the fact that he signed for Liverpool suggests that he's a very exciting talent and the fact that he's ripping it up week in and out at Middlesbrough currently would back that up. At the time of Doaks selection, the convo would have been literally 'we need a bit of pace and width in the team, who have we got?' Doak and naebody else would have been the response...get him in and have a look. Miller plays in a position where we currently, literally do not need him, ahead of him are players that play in Serie A and the English Premier and Championship, players that aren't completely over the hill and players that the manager trusts, rightly or wrongly. Clarke will have watched Miller umpteen times and it's his job to decide if he adds something to his squad, and he clearly feels that at this moment he is right down the pecking order. Clarke uses the word 'hype'...could he mean 'over-hype' and he's not buying into the praise that's been heaped on young Lennon so far?
