That Old Chestnut - Do We Move Or Do We Stay
0Neils40yarder replied to Kmcalpin's topic in Club Chat
The differences for me between Tynie and that effort at Paisley are simply; All new builds in scotland have gone in a very similar direction and I cant think of one that I enjoy going to, because of the atmosphere and the lack of facilties. And...the fact Hearts have managed to completely revamp Tynie on a small footprint into the best stadium in the league, just gives more ammunition to stay put for me. I understand the viewpoint that you've got and the considerations you've placed into fan experience at any proposed new build but I dont see it happening. For me, we build a new main stand, utilising the footprint we have, encompassing hospitality, a proper restaurant and public house, even if that means we need to scale down the number of seats available to the paying public...not as drastic as what Queens Park done but its a thought none-the-less. We then move onto the next stand, in much the same way we would need to continually upgrade and maintain any new build -

The world is literally our oyster the now...even players we have been conversing with must be thinking to themselves '12months, there and then who knows' -

I'll always be reluctant to move...someone mentioned further up about the nick of st mirrens stadium and I fear thats what we'd end up doing, despite your more optimistic outlook. -

Absolutely delighted to see the deal done because the more money we bring in, the stringer OUR Club becomes...just as long as we trust the board to do the right things. Which I do

Good to hear the club at a high level, has got back to you...I honestly believe we are an extremely well run club at the moment and thats down to the likes of Brian and Kyrk. As for the main stand, I've listened and read the details from guys on here and p&Bovril, but I just dont see how a new stadium at huge, huge cost is more viable than redoing the main stand completely at what would be a much smaller, huge cost. -

Sell as many players as it takes to put a proper down payment on a mortgage to rebuild the main stand, into a proper functioning asset -
Let's see how McInnes gets treated

McGhee also came off injured yesterday

SOD is out for weeks

Be amazed if he was that wet behind the lugs

Honestly thought Randolph was miles better

Ive never been a fan of loaning players from clubs in the same league...however, Stephen Welsh was a breath of fresh air in terms of his abilities and his attitude.

Unfortunately this is now postponed, as motherwell are taking a number of the youth players across to Denmark due to our small squad. The charity tournament will still go ahead, followed by a match against Darvel. The match v motherwell will be rearranged for a later date

2 omissions that jump out to me, along with Moult are Colin O'Neil and Michael Higdon. Great effort though 👏
-
Thats correct...a repeat of last seasons friendly, which was preceded by a 7s tournament hosted by the Block E lads, and will be again this year, in aid of mens mental health charities. Motherwell were very happy with the event last year and offered it up again this season...as with last season it'll be a young 'well side brought over to Bellshill

Good man...any discussion will be welcome and good natured

Without knowing you personally but reading your comments for years I'd say that you're the man for this

Yes horrific end to a talented life, much in the same way as Hugh Gallagher of Airdrie and Newcastle
-
Yes difficult but liverpool have managed it...and if nothing else it creates a bit of discussion and no one will ever agree
