Only 35 days til the first game of next season, not too long thank fully
-
What makes a rumour genuine? I can pull some names out my arse and try to get them going as discussions? Adam Idah on loan from Norwich, initial 6 months. They're keen to get him game time.
-
Could be he's moved his family up and they don't like it, that's why they want to move. Like when Homer goes to work for Hank Scorpio.
-
Or we have a core of Carson, O'Donnel and Watt who have been at the club at least a year and are all international players with plenty of experience in the SPL alongside solid SPL performers like O'Hara(192 spl games), Lamie (78 spl games), Crawford (43 spl games) who have all been here a year so will help with the transition. It's not ideal but it's not the worst position we've been in.
-
Oh I don't think for a second he thinks he's going there to pick up a wage and not play. He'll be going in there (like all players do) believing that he has the ability to make it at that level (and beyond). He might not be right but you can't hold it against players for believing in themselves.
-
Good move for him, we are not competing with them on cash even if they view him as a bit of a punt they can still throw more cash at that than we can a first choice striker.
-
I assume with Fox coming back the club is confident that Carson will be fit and stay fit. One thing we have in our favour for Moult is being the furthest south/quickest to get to the Midlands from.
-
Curtis Main signed with St Mirren, 2 year deal. He was always a handful who put himself about and put in a shift. I liked him and I'm sure defenders hated playing against him however his finishing bar a short spell for us was woeful.
-
I imagine many clubs have seen what he can do up here and will have made offers based on their attitude towards risk.
-
More details on the fishal https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2021/06/04/introducing-the-2021-22-motherwell-fc-home-kit/ Bit much white for my taste but nice enough.
-
Pure rumour here and one that I imagine will divide opinion; Charlie Mulgrew? He's moving back to the general area so I assume he's looking for a local club. Plenty of experience at a good level but do you have confidence he would play 35+ games next year?
-
Shows how much I know. Cheers

Surely be able to get fans in to Hampden. Didnt realise it was 4 games in 10 days. Quite an ask for before the league season has kicked off and interesting to see how Alexander approaches it compared to how Robinson did in terms of rotating the squad and getting everyone involved etc.
-
Both Robinson and Alexander have talked him up, praising his attitude and what he's shown in training. He hasn't performed during his loan spell but if the manager sees enough in him to take the gamble then its hard to argue against it. He's definitely a gamble, but that's the market we operate in.
-
Heneghan was a decent SPL centre back when he played for us before, that was not long after the time where we couldn't sell anyone (Randolph and Hutchinson both went on to have fantastic careers but not a single bid) so I think that clouds the judgement of how good a bit of business getting 400k for Ben was. He's not exciting but we need a solid steady hand at centre back and we would certainly fit that bill. Dunno what he would be looking for money wise but I imagine it would be towards the top end of our budget.
-
Another local lad. I'm assuming there's no training compensation owed. Cant say I've saw enough of the Championship to say anything but looks a decent return in terms of goals.
-
Thats a more interesting question. I know for the play off games (well at least the Dundee vs Killie game) they had all the 500 fans in attendance in the one stand behind the goal but how it was managed beyond that I've no idea. I've kinda assumed you would both get your usual seat and with the usual folk you sit near and also that the full stadium would be utilised, clearly you can't have both. Can see people especially annoyed having to go to the South stand as the entrance is so far away from all the other stands, you can't just fall out the fir park club and end up in the queue.
-
Of course apologies. Transfer windows only slam shut and never close.
-
Transfer window opens 9th June. Closes 31st August. Given they're having 16k at Murrayfield on June 26th which is around 1/4 of capacity I don't see why they can't have 3.5k to 4k at Fir Park for the league Cup games nearly a month later and realistically I can't see more than 4k people wanting to watch us play in a league Cup group stage game.
-
First game with fans back in would ideally be Airdrie at Fir Park. And we pump them. Get 21/22 season kicked off with a feel good factor. Airdrie at home East Kilbride Away Clyde at home Ayr away That would do me.

https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2020/01/15/liam-grimshaw-signs-new-contract/ Through to next summer. I've always liked Grimshaw, limited player but I still have a soft spot. Any idea how he's getting on getting over his illness?
-
Griffiths is someone you would question signing for us these days and we only have 1 striker and he can't score... Gauld is a decent shout.
-
That was harder to navigate that it had to be. Anyway I've joined, need someone to be the Accies of the league.
-
The lack of first names on the team sheets have made it too hard for me to work out for the Hearts players to Google and check.
-
Of the starting 11 I posted there I expect at least 6 of them will start more than 30 games next season. 4 or 5 new players maximum coming in that will be expected to be regular starters (including Cole if he comes in) . Another 2 or 3 that will be very much punts (Cornelius/Dunne if they sign on would be in that category) and I think that is (excluding youth players) our business.
