Problem is at 34 if he comes in and does well youre sort of obliged to offer him another year and while I hope amd think he can come in and do a job for us til May i don't want to be making these sort of signings in the summer.
-
White to County confirmed by the club twitter. Checked livescore for the lineups and Foley wasn't among the subs for St Mirren last night.
-
100%, there's not a lot between everyone outside the old firm so things like confidence and belief are half the battle. I think if we'd held on against United on boxing day it would have been enough to turn us around. I know a lot here will disagree and say that a turnaround couldn't occur without a change in manager, we'll never know if that's true.
-
Let's not get carried away we're still right in this relegation battle. United, Celtic, Killie and Accies coming up. We really need at least 5 points from that, if we can get 5 or more points from the next 4 I'll start to relax.
-
For a squad with no bottle it takes a big effort to come back from a goal down in a relegation dogfight like this. Fair play to Alexander, he may have them believing they can win games now.

Calm yourself

Huge 20 minutes, absolutely crucial we don't concede.
-
With who's available i can't see what else he could have gone with or how else he could set up.
-
If we're not looking for him to play 90 minutes every game then it could be a good deal. Someone with experience battling it out at the foot of the table, a voice in the dressing room and on the pitch. We've a lot of football to play in February so just getting bodies in is important, especially ones with a bit of versatility.
-
Wasn't aware it was long term. Then we're really struggling for full backs.
-
That would make sense for them. Leaves us very short of options at full back though. No cover for Grimshaw or Carroll that I can see. Really highlights the benefit we had with Tait being able to play at left or right back.
-
We need 6 more wins to stay up (10th) you would think. 6 wins from 15, it's going to be tough. Wednesday is huge, don't usually pay for away streams but may do so Wednesday as this game is massive.
-
But back on topic.... Wouldn't surprise me if White ended up at County after Wednesday. Especially after the trouble big Sam got in down south for having a gentlemans agreement not to play a player.

I think splitting the thread was a good idea so you could discuss Robinson and his legacy separate from the new manager speculation. I'd be disappointed if the Robinson thread was deleted as there was discussion to be had. Although I've not read it for a few days so maybe something has been said that is potentially legally actionable and it has to go. But if its just the usual back and forth between Robbophiles and Robbophobics then let them keep at it.

Reading the comments from GA on the official site it seems he's brought in to make up the numbers a bit. "We need a squad with different attributes and skillsets, and Harry is a player who will fit in with our squad very well. “I’m sure over the course of the rest of the season, he will make a significant contribution to our results" Which makes sense as Watt and Cole are certainly our 2 first choice strikers.
-
Aye, fair call. Though he did start the season strong.
-
I think its an absolutely fantastic gesture by the club and I think a lot of our fan base will appreciate the club treating the fans with respect and will pay for their season ticket next year. At the same time its tough for a lot of people right now and if people want to get their moneys worth then you can fully understand it.
-
That was the clubs offer for this season's season tickets, that any game that you can't attend in person will be deducted from the cost of next season's season ticket. I don't see fans at any games this season so yes next season ticket would be free. I can see the club asking fans to pay for next year as well the same way they asked people not to take the offered partial refunds for season 19/20.
-
I can see another positive cash flow year this year as well as we had strong season ticket sales and the Turnbull transfer. So I imagine accounts up to May 21 will be strong. May 22 is where I expect to see losses with season tickets for Season 21/22 being very poor since all the existing season ticket holders will have all this seasons games to use up next season.

Alan Campbell has played a lot of football in the last 3.5 years (160 games including international games) which is pretty wild for a 22 year old. He's going to have periods where he goes off the boil, that's just how it goes. He'll come good again, that said I think he'll move in in the summer as someone will pay the development fee for him. He's earned the chance to earn more than we can pay him so good luck to him.
-
I always remember Stevie Naismith taking about Chris Long as they were at Everton at the same time, saying Long was tipped to be a first team regular in a few seasons and was really thought of as a top prospect. So clearly there's the ability there he just hasn't been able to sort his head out. He showed glimpses last season but not enough of it. If he turns it on for the next 6 months to get a move back down south then fine, as long as we get performances until May out of him.
-
I wouldn't think so. If he does have this clause then a pre contract would be a non starter and someone would have to stump up cash to take him this window. I don't think it would be a huge amount (about £150k maybe although I'm pulling that out my arse) but enough to let us invest in a replacement. Thats why the agent is so desperate to get a move now, as if he doesn't he's not getting a penny til summer 2022.
-
That agent is really putting a shift in trying to get him a move this month.
-
I'm assuming this list is for goals scored and games played after Moult joined the club.
-
He was mostly coming of the bench, had a couple of starts but has only had 5 minutes of football since the start of December.
