I saw someone else on here talking about Aryibi coming back so went with that. Now it becomes a solid rumour, sorry about that. I think Aaarons is the better player but I see no chance of him coming in.
-
Dunne and Gallacheris a good pairing at the back, as good as we can expect really. If both are available. I think Harttley knows he isnt going to be first pick and will want to play and will expect first team wages. Cant blame him for that and wish him all the best. We're a bit over stocked in the middle if O'hara comes in permanent, adding to Turnbull, campbell, Polworth and Donnely. 5 players for three slots if we continue to play with wingers. Aryibi would be a welcome addition, of we could bring him in I'd be happy with him and Hylton as starting wideplayers with Watt in the middle. Carson Carroll Dunne Gallacher Grimshaw Campbell O'Hara Aryibi Turnbull Hylton Watt That team looks good (formatting wise fpt a 4 2 3 1 and on the field) to me.

It's almost like people need something to moan about. We finished third but the situation dictates that we need to carry a smaller squad next season so some people who we would have liked to offer contracts to parent going to get them. And I imagine some players will be offered less generous new deals than they otherwise would have. Explaining our financial situation is about setting fans expectations more than anything else, we shouldn't expect everyone to be here next season that was part of this team and we shouldn't expect a load of new signings. That's where we are and without statements like this people might not appreciate that.

He's done a good job, its really hard to argue anything else. Has he brought in some dross, sure. What Motherwell manager hasn't? He's also brought in some very decent players and brought through some excellent players. To get us the results he has on and off the park with transfer fees etc. Its hard to see anyone else doing better.

To Furlough or not to Furlough that is the Q

Good that so much of our squad is out contract in the summer, gives them plenty motivation to stay fit as there will be a lot of players looking for clubs whenever next season starts. In saying that they'll want to stay fit regardless, what else are they going to be doing..... Seems the club have been sensible here and I think they've done the right thing. -

A pleasant surprise there. Good work by the club and player to work something out, credit where it's due to both of them. -
But he's available for Friday? If Campbell is out I'd hope we can get Donnelly back in, nothing against MacGuire, still think he's got something to offer but with Aberdeen I'd rather have Donnelly I there.
-
Is Donnelly injured or suspended?
-
30 games played, still third. Wasnt there today but what I've heard a draw was fair, Aberdeen and Livi have to play Hearts (and each other) before the break so lets hope hearts do us some favours. Huge game Friday, a win there and we're guaranteed to go in to split at least 4th.

On the bench for tomorrow night then? This could be the boost we need to get things back on track. -
Game 28: Hamilton Accies (A) 22nd February 2020
C&A not the shop replied to Andy_P's topic in Club Chat
Dunne and Gallacher was Robinson's preferred pair at the start of the season so I can see him reverting to that. For Saturday I think it's too early for Dunne and if Gallacher has recovered itll be: Gillespie Grimshaw Donnelly Gallacher Tait Polworth Campbell O'Hara Long Watt Aarons Which is a good looking side on paper. I think it's a front three with a genuine threat all across it, it's an actual front three rather than a centre forward and two wingers. Though I can see the temptation to go with a packed midfield against Accies so going with a back three. -
Game 26: St Johnstone (A) 12th February 2020
C&A not the shop replied to Andy_P's topic in Club Chat
He played in the reserve game on Monday so I doubt he will start. I assume the same team from Saturday will start again tonight if they are all fit. Expect similar subs as well depending on how the game is going. -
Same eleven that started against Celtic, unless Gallacher has a knock. Then its Mugabe. So hopefully Gallacher fit. Watt on the bench. Gives us an option to change shape we don't currently carry.
-
Hes played 230 top flight/English championship games at 26 years old. Hes hardly lost to the game. He bounces around a lot and it probably works out well financially for him.
-
Played about 20 times this season for CSKA Sofia so shouldn't be too far away from fitness.
-
We lost Cole, Scott and Sloth. Brought in Ndjoli, Aarons and Watt. I don't think we're going to be much weaker or stronger after that exchange. If Watt and Aarons are playing to the levels they have shown in the past then we should have some goals in us.
-
We competed well first half, just lacking a bit of final third composure. Though Aarons looked tidy and could be a very good addition. Once they got their second game was done, the more stretched it became the worse we looked. Still theres 8 games to the split and 13 league games in total left. We need 6 wins to pretty much guarantee top 4. 7 wins should see is finish third ( I don't see Aberdeen winning 9). Got some ties against struggling sides coming up and we need to pick up wins there. We are favourites to win about 5 of the pre split games, so we're in a good place still. Just need to get a result on Saturday and follow on from there.
-
We need an option through the middle. Hes played at a decent level and played a decent amount this season (18 games). We would be daft not to take a look at him. If it turns out he cant do a job or he's not a good fit then that should be clear when he trains with us.
-
A good winger, gives a strong replacement for Scott. Still weak through the middle mind you. Only Long as a regular starter then Mazinga who's a project and Ndjoli who may be a winger. Bring in Watt over the coming days since hes free to sign a deal outside the window and I think we go in to February stronger. Sloth, Cole and Scott out. Ndjoli, Aarons and Watt in would do me.
-
Team? Same as last week but illic, long and hulton up top? MacIver, Seedorf and Mazinga off the bench with Carson, Mugabe and MacGuire? Assuming Scott is away. Wouldn't bring anyone in to the first team who hadn't trained with us no matter who we bring in
-
Shows how much I know.

Murphy to the end of the season if fit would make sense now. Crucially if fit.

We now operate where every player has a price and once you meet that valuation they go. Which is a good way to operate a business, not the most romantic way to run a football club though. A million, plus 500k for appearance etc. Plus a sell on is great business, we'd get solidarity payments if he ever goes for big money which is potentially a nice earner. Will be frustrated if we don't bring anyone in now though. I'm thinking Watt and another forward player. Anyone looking to buy Kipre yet? Imagine hedl would be going for about 4m now so any sell on we have is a decent chunk of change.
-
I'd take Tony Watt if hes fit. Hes a decent player, not as good as hes hyped up to be but still a good enough player.
