I think until Stevie gets 2/3 players in then we are still not good enough so I can see Aberdeen winning this one but I hope to be wrong.

I will 100% get behind Stevie but I am more than a bit gutted he has been chosen as it comes across as the easy/cheap option, even if it wasn't. Ive said it before on here and folk actually disagreed............Barry Maguire is utterly useless and if this is the standard we are at then its gona be a long season. If he wasn't a Motherwell youth product he'd be getting slaughtered on here. As soon as I saw his and Carrolls name on the team sheet It was never going to be an easy night for us. GA needs to go, but Im concerned that the management will give him until the world cup and by then we will more than likely be in trouble.

I spoke to a few older Sligo fans who were superb but they were also genuinley asking if they'd be safe getting back to their transport due to the verbal venom that was being thrown at them from the "Well Bois" I get that they are trying to create an atmosphere but the behaviour is getting too much now, 99.9% of fans just want to go and enjoy the football without getting abused and threatened. Couple that with officials getting pelted with items and its not good enough, it makes us look terrible as a club and will cost us money AGAIN.

Enjoyed that game today. DC was excellent in midfied as was Slattery. KVV at times is as lazy a player as ive seen for a long time but then he does some awesome stuff as well!!!! Mugabi was a bit of a bombscare at right back today but incredibly O'Donnell was excellent at left back. Most important thing was the win!!!!

Would be interesting to see if GA has played the same team 2 games in a row. The defence is ALWAYS different and that for me is one of the main reasons for losing games as there is no consistancy in the back 4. How Slattery isn't getting a game every week is very strange as I think he is naturally our best midfielder but its all about opinions. And to top it off, how NM got a contract extension is so far beyond me its crazy, no harm to the lad but at times he even looks surprised if he controls the ball. I am also not convinced GA watches the same matches as the fans as his post match interviews are baffling at times, the football is a horror show at times and as a non season ticket holder (due to work commitments) who gets to the games when I can, I sometimes find it hard to be arsed given I know whats going to be on show.............but alas thats being a well fan for the last few seasons.

I just don't see it with Maguire. He huffs and puffs, plods away but does nothing of note most games. We all have different opinions but for me the lad is not prem quality. Luckily for him (probably us all) I'm not GA and I don't pick the team!!!!!

Totally agree Maguire tries but lacks in so many areas and brings almost nothing. I fear the worst every single time I see his name on the team sheet. Donnolly is hot and cold.
