Im honestly still not sure, i have massive reservations about both proposals if im honest, I feel we are all being forced to vote for the "least worst" which is spookily like our politics at the moment

A very reasoned post so thanks for that and you raise some very valid points. I personally think we should be "blown away" if we want to gain ground and overtake the teams around us, this whole process should have been an exciting time for the club where we look at visions to take us forward but instead its turned into a sh*t show with in-fighting and division. I agree however we will be fine from a survival aspect if we remain with the WS but I also doubt we will see much difference from an income point of view and if thats how our fans vote then fine, its democratic. however as things stand Its not a great look for our fantastic club.

Wasn't aimed at you in the slightest unless Ive missed where you've called your fellow well fans stupid. As Ive stated before and will again, I don't think either party involved here has any great ideas or shown they can drive the club forward and I personally think that both must do better with their proposals and hopefully they can find some common ground. Firstly, I don't think EB or the WS have convinced me with their proposals. But to suggest that your fellow supporter is stupid if they have a different opinion on the deal is quite cringeworthy and says more about you. EB has put a proposal on the table as have the WS, neither of which have blown me away. I think the WS are well intentioned but i also dont think EB is sitting in a swivel chair stroking his cat pondering how he will take over the world with the vast sums of money he will make from the demise of Motherwell FC. I believe he is also well intentioned and not the villain some of you are trying to suggest he is. Lets hope all can find some common ground and not be millitant toward people trying to assist in driving Motherwell forward whoever it is, EB or the WS.

I understand what your saying but to play devils advocate, EB was ripped to pieces for not going into the minutia of any plans by some on here. Steelboy im sure wouldnt have been happy until EB was in his kitchen telling him how he was going to spend every single penny. I honestly want fan ownership to win the day but that release is nowhere near enough and as I said, just as bad as EB's but with a bit more emotion.

Im going to be unpopular here and just to be up front I think EB's proposal isnt very good. But, Im very surprised about the amount of love for this WS proposal, it literally tells us nothing whilst using the word "stategic", 25 times and uses emotional language to get the fans behind it. This is literally as vague as EB's on funding projections, its quite poor really if you take the emotions out of it. No substance and is just a wish list, both sides MUST do better

A very eloquent response with some good points which is where the discussion should be going, on your questions :- £25-30K isn't great but its something, Id hope with a renewed vigour we could get into 6 figures somehow with extra donations and investment. Id say the WS need full-time employees as that way the sole focus is on driving forward rather than trying to find the time to do so. Progress for me would be consistant top 6 and cup runs coupled with decent signings year on year. Now I fully understand that even with major investment none of the above is guaranteed but some solid optimism every year would be nice. You say we have achived this several times in the last 10 years but lately and certainly in the last 3 years we have regressed with football that at times has been difficult to watch. When I say they have done a decent job, I say this due to raising the funds they did, however to caveat that, Id say it was the fanbase as a whole who were united and most entities could have done exactly the same job as the WS given the cicumstances we as a club were faced with. I have little faith in them as they have been mostly silent for a number of years and stagnated, HOWEVER I am willing to wait and see what plans they have to drive us forward but I think some full-time workers with a degree of strength are a neccessity to have some focus. The divided fanbase was always going to happen but the degree of venom and belittling at times has been poor to see. We all want Motherwell to be a success story and can have a difference of opinion.

Totally agree, most workplaces in the UK would have granted time off for such an occasion, Motherwell FC are no different

No matter what the WS do, they won't increase the membership by a significant amount, we have a small hardcore fanbase, they may in the short-term increase it by hundreds but long-term I personally don't see it. The WS have done a decent job so far, no more than that and if people are happy to consistantly sit bottom 6 or even be relegated then we can continue as we are. For Motherwell to progress we NEED outside investment, maybe not the offer as it stands just now but we should be looking at ways to raise our profile abroad and at home. I have little confidence in the WS personally no matter how well meaning they are as an entity which is why we see our own fanbase divided right now. I am however full of optimism as we are at least having the discussion on how we move forward.

It wont be worth much on here mate, the usual folk will be out with their pitchforks giving OUR OWN players pelters before they have even pulled on the training gear as thats how they like to live their life. Makes you wonder why they even support Motherwell, its chronic behaviour
