  1. From what I know this is a loan that would need repaid which would impact the club at a future date and as it should ensure people don’t lose their jobs I’ve no problems with that.
  2. So what signings in the last decade have inspired you?
  3. Really hard to decide between Cole and Mugabe - been a while since I found it difficult to choose one because two players had played so well.
  4. ON40Y, I know that but as I said just my opinion
  5. In my opinion to stop any team gaining an advantage, the ruling should have been that the games be played but all teams can only select players that were available at that time ie anyone injured, suspended or positive should not be eligible to play and if the fixtures are not played due to the season being cut short then the points are awarded to Motherwell.
  6. Does anyone think that the fact Celtic played last night rather than trying to pull a fast one and postponing the game with so many players out indicates that possibly the pending appeal’s will be chucked out?
  7. I’m sure it was said at the time of the initial draws back in November that any team playing an SPFL team would have to adhere to the same testing regulations in the week leading up to the game. From SFA website From Round Three onwards, clubs drawn to play against SPFL Premiership teams must comply with the relevant COVID testing regime which applies at that time or as directed by the Scottish FA Board.
  8. Was only there for 1 game covering for Humphrey who was isolating. Did well with Leeds Utd & Huddersfield
  9. Of the 4 quoted my preference’s are Alexander Grayson Wright Las If it was the start of a season and Robbo had left for another club then I’d probably been willing to give Las a chance but too much is at stake now.
  10. “.....it could be argued that Tommy Wright was the man who revived TonyWatt's career and not the fabled Robbo.” looks like a dig to me.
  11. Regarding Gallagher, I’ve not seen anything that suggests he’s thrown the towel in or that he’s been at fault for goals through lack of interest. Yes he’s not been the player he was last season but look what’s around him compared to last season. Also last season Donnelly protected the defence so that’s been a big miss. As for the story, that’s just an agent doing what agents do - link the player to one club and generate interest.
  12. my mistake, didn’t mean £250K for 6 months, it was two different thoughts rolled into one post.
  13. Was McCall not reportedly to have been on over £200K when with us, so given that was a few years ago, I’d suspect we could offer someone £250K. maybe a bit left field but what about offering one of the guys mentioned a contract until the end of the e season? Gives them 6 months work and a chance to prove themselves to potential employers.
  14. Didn’t watch the game because I wouldn’t give those fuckers the steam off my shite. We get nothing from their fans coming to fir park - worst supported team that only drains money out of the league.
  15. Agree with you to a certain extent but firstly you free up three wages from dross players which can be added to the wages of a couple of the senior players at the club to help smooth things, secondly bonuses to the squad increase so all benefit, thirdly playing with better quality players should improve the rest of the players possibly leading to them getting a good move and finally if we made the group stages the team get the chance to play against teams they can only dream of. I think that the idea could have been sold to the squad.
  16. Personally I hope not. Surly the board can find better than him.
  17. When Turnbull was sold I said £1m should be invested in a quality defender, midfielder & a striker to try and get us into the group stages of the europa league and secure a top 6 place this season - pity it didn’t happen ☹️
  18. Really disagree with you, we need to get it right. RC’s chairman can afford to get it wrong as he will foot the bill if they get relegated but we don’t have that luxury. As for McCall, he inherited a decent squad from auld “integrity “ Broon - he doesn’t have that this time and I fear could get us relegated. As the old saying goes, act in haste, repent at leisure.
  19. I think the reason Las will be in charge for the next 3 games is not to let him prove he’s the man for the job but because 1. Rightly or wrongly, we hadn’t planned for Robinson going so we have no one lined up. 2. It will take a week or so to get and go through CV’s. 3. In the present COVID circumstances, interviews will take time. So starting him after the Aberdeen game on the 23rd is possibly the earliest date unless we have someone in mind or had already been in discussions with them.
  20. Don’t think him and the club see eye to eye now and if that’s true it’s not going to happen sadly.
  21. Polworth has been terrible all season, he has a great knack of marking open spaces, avoiding the action and pussyfooting on the ball when he has no time. Thought getting dropped would have gave him a shake but obviously not
  22. The celebrations at full time -unforgettable, McInnes’s rage about the goal ever since - priceless
  23. Also set up the first and played the pass to win the penalty I think.
