  1. Interestingly I was taking to a keeper about that type of situation a couple of months ago and his view was that he would rather the defender left it for him to save rather than risk a deflection which would send it in another direction as he started his dive. Basically, if he can’t guarantee to block it, leave it.
  2. So we get a players face kicked in one game with no retrospective action taken and then get a player suspended for two games for a silly kick? Sounds about right for the SPFL’s inconsistencies
  3. It’s 20 minutes more than some guys have had before someone slated them :))
  4. On their shite pitch, I’ll take a 1-0 win.
  5. Fizoxy, I’ve decided that over the course of the season. He constantly avoids getting involved when things get tough, his set pieces have been crap and his attitude stinks.
  6. Polworth doesn’t want to be at Motherwell and would have played his usual hiding act. Further he is away from the park the better as far as I’m concerned.
  7. Wouldn’t think so, only a loan deal so expect him to be back at QPR.
  8. To be fair, most folk appreciated Donnelly once Robbo stopped playing him at left back :)
  9. With 7 games this month by the end of the month we could potentially be looking at either spending the rest of the season fighting relegation or fighting it out for a top 6 place. The fixtures are Dundee Utd (h) - win Celtic (a) Kilmarnock (a) Hamilton (h) St Johnstone (h) St Mirren (a) Hibernian (a) With a fair bit of luck (something we’ve been short of this season) we could pick up to another 12 points from teams around us. Maybe a bit optimistic but if other results go our way we could be sitting sixth alternatively if we don’t get the results we could be sweating it out for the rest of the season
  10. Go make something else so we can score again
  11. Brilliant second goal! Also, Maguire’s deliveries from set pieces are so much better than Polworth’s.
  12. Strange one with SO’D and the euro payments. If as suggested the club is due circa £70500, I’d have thought it would have been worth a club - possibly down south - signing him for 6 months on £3000 per week as the euro cash would pay the majority or his wage. Not sure what deal we have with him but I’m sure that we’re paying him less than that so overall we have an international player for no cost and possibly a small profit. Of course this is dependent on him being in the Scotland squad but barring injury, I’m confident he will be included.
  13. I’m pretty sure that a few folk on here objected to the signing of some of them - especially Cole resigning this season.
  14. Only seen the second half but TW for me - although Maguire & Mugabi did well and Carroll & Cole both put in a good shift
  15. From what I know this is a loan that would need repaid which would impact the club at a future date and as it should ensure people don’t lose their jobs I’ve no problems with that.
  16. So what signings in the last decade have inspired you?
  17. Really hard to decide between Cole and Mugabe - been a while since I found it difficult to choose one because two players had played so well.
  18. ON40Y, I know that but as I said just my opinion
  19. In my opinion to stop any team gaining an advantage, the ruling should have been that the games be played but all teams can only select players that were available at that time ie anyone injured, suspended or positive should not be eligible to play and if the fixtures are not played due to the season being cut short then the points are awarded to Motherwell.
  20. Does anyone think that the fact Celtic played last night rather than trying to pull a fast one and postponing the game with so many players out indicates that possibly the pending appeal’s will be chucked out?
  21. I’m sure it was said at the time of the initial draws back in November that any team playing an SPFL team would have to adhere to the same testing regulations in the week leading up to the game. From SFA website From Round Three onwards, clubs drawn to play against SPFL Premiership teams must comply with the relevant COVID testing regime which applies at that time or as directed by the Scottish FA Board.
