I know plenty of guys at work who watch podcasts/YouTube shows of oversea teams I’ve never heard of alongside watching guys playing golf, eating food and many other things so I don’t think that if something similar was done for the US market - possibly using US based fans alongside Motherwell based fans so it’s geared towards them - couldn’t find an audience which in turn could get some of them to join the society. It would all come down to cost of running it but if the price is reasonable why not try?

Agree 100% with your views re political leanings of potential board members but sadly the need for drives is a political issue.

New member, did you just join to post that? Petty rage and indignation is not a good look mate - please cancel your membership here if that’s going to be your level of posting PS, I was in Belfast for a punk concert at the weekend, took the bus tour (and some pictures), have left wing socialist views, don’t like sanctimonious folk and general bawbags - if I was inclined to stand for the WS board would that make me an unsuitable candidate?

Can’t believe it’s anything to do with damage to seats, it’s not like the fans will think oh it’s the top tier so we won’t smash up the seats.
-
Hopefully the club website is right but just checked where I might have read it and BBC piece says Comfortable across the forward line, Maswanhise, who has three caps for his country, has the option to extend his stay at Fir Park beyond the new year in his contract.
-
What read was that he had the option of extending the deal - Can’t remember where I seen it though.
-
He’s probably waiting for a better deal elsewhere but if nothing come up you never know
-
You’ve a great view and good seat but you now want your surroundings improved, ffs, next you will be wanting a good team to watch - some folk are never happy 😃
-
Same way you fluke missing out on the top 6.

Saturday night post, Sunday morning forgot u posted - I’m going for alcohol involved.

Never thought he was a great striker, flicks were mostly either wide or straight at the keeper. Although he did create space and chances for others, also when he was here lastbhe helped out the defence, won free kicks and relieved the pressure so if he repeats that then he could do us a turn.
-
Even though he fluffed he chance?

So do you think the CEO must also be a mug? as he signs off on who Kettlewell wants to sign.
-
Wonder how many likes that will get

Eh naw, I can think of 6 Well fans a couple of who are season ticket holders.
-
RC are a big team set up to sit back, defend / bully and hope to get something on the break / set pieces. We can expect StJ, StM, Killie and both Dundee teams to do similar when they come to FP. I always thought we looked better away from home against those teams - Dutd apart - last season as those teams were more likely to attack us more when at home. The OF apart against Aberdeen and the Edinburgh clubs were the only ones to have a go at us at FP. I think that last season we would have lost yesterday’s game so I suppose we should be taking some good from that.

The flip side of having a cash gate is that with a cash gate how many folk would decide just to use it and how busy would it get? Big enough Q at the Hunter stand when all gates are ticket - how long does it take to scan a ticket?

Definitely plenty of room for improvement and hopefully we will. At the back Ox looked comfortable and commanded his box well. Wilson is improving week on week and could be an important player this season. The back three managed the RC bullying tactics well but a more skilled team could cause us trouble.SOD is definitely slower but wasn’t as bad as being made out and I think a couple of our best chance’s came from balls he put in. Midfield we’re all at sea at times, second to most balls and need to improve their passing. Forward’s, what to say? Need time to settle but they need to do it quickly.

Re your first point, yes it would be cheaper but if you think you can’t develop the youngster much more but think you can develop the other guy and get a fee when he’s sold then the additional up front cost is worth it. Re point 2, I’m sure I read someone earlier this week saying SOD gave up passing to him as he looked so out of place - what was your view of what you seen? Kaleta cut out by SOD, Kaleta out of his depth/not good enough (some on here make their minds up quicker then others)or Kaleta not up to speed yet.

A very hit or miss player for us, some good games and some brutal games. Floated in and out of games to often. Wasn’t upset to see him go tbh.
-
2games! Ffs when did this forum turn soft and who banned SB, Y et al? :)
-
I’ve no doubt that we have spoken to a few players but have been knocked back due to wage constraints or other reasons.
-
Agree SB, looking at who they play I don’t see two of them dropping points but it is the LC and it does throw up some strange results. Also, potentially we could lose, Clyde could win and we could end up out on our arse.

Delighted with the news but now the real work begins. Firstly I think we need to see and explain to everyone clearly defined rolls for the Club board - need to ditch the “Executive board” pish - and the Society board. ie Club board responsible for day to day running of the club, setting budgets and ensuring cash flow for the budgets. WS responsible for ensuring society has cash reserves for unforeseen shortcomings in club budgets, growing the membership, encouraging members to pay regular donations etc. After that the two boards need to work together in union to look at ways to encourage external investment in the club and society - no point in both of them chasing the same potential investors for different reasons which could be detrimental and put them off investing. Obviously there will now be changes to both boards but if members of the WS board feel they can work with those they opposed on this issue as they feel the other can bring something of value going forward, then I would be willing to trust in their judgment - not saying it’s going to happen but willing to show faith in the board.

Not advocating opening other stands to away fans but it will be difficult to fill the stadium again now that we only give the arse cheeks the south stand. No other clubs fill it and we won’t fill the rest of the stands.
