Only due to the fact that the further they go the better Scotland’s co-efficient gets and might get a 5th place in a season or two, which means we could sneak another European trip, I’m happy to see them go further but not to win anything. Same goes with other Scottish teams before anyone thinks I’m biased.

Agree, this two weeks should be about working out how to break down a defensive system. StM & Killie with both set up to defend where as Aberdeen and Hearts will be playing a more attacking game. I see us possibly getting 6 points max over the 4 games, 2 wins or 1 win and 3 draws but if our tactics are correct - and the team are able to implement them - then we could potentially take all 12 points.

Sadly I don’t think that LM is that type of controlling midfielder when space is tight unlike Cameron who’s outshone LM in their previous games so someone needs to try to keep tight on him. Also Murray can’t be allowed to bully the hell out of the defence.

Although we are in the shit at the moment I’m not too worried just now because I believe we can scrape togethers the points required to stay up if we can find a bit of luck. There’s a few winnable games between now and the split, I don’t see us going on a 10 game losing streak and others will take points from each other.

I’ve said for a while now that VAR officials should be from a foreign country, there no reason why video footage can’t be reviewed elsewhere instead of in Scotland by officials who have might take the view that they will back up the referee and won’t highlight another’s screw ups as long as they do the same at a later date.

I feel your frustration mate and agree with you, if only some others who feel the need to vent their frustration would just keep it in check or groan rather that shout at players.

I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve the criticism but who do we have that can do better in that position? If McGinn was fit SOD wouldn’t be there. Of the others who have played there this season and are fit were they any better? We have a young central defender who’s 16 or 17 that SOD, McGinn and Halliday all spoke highly of at a Q&A if he can play that position then I’d be tempted to take a chance on him but if he’s not ready or it’s not his position then we’re stuck with SOD and all I’m saying is abusing him during games ain’t helping him, the team and ultimately us the supporters.

I’ve never played the game at any decent level so don’t understand the full set up to a great degree but having been in positions of management in my career using what was staff were available to get things done (feck me that sounds like something from a CV) I get a lot of what folk are saying about SOD but to be fair to the guy he’s playing in a position that’s not his natural position, he is getting to the end of his career and as such he ain’t as mobile as he once was but I do believe that he is trying and I’m sure that if there was anyone else who the manager (and previous custodian of the role) thought was better then they wouldn’t have SOD in that position. I don’t know the guy but I do feel he gets a load of undeserved stick here and at games, yesterday for example, leaving him one on one with their top scorer was poor from the other defenders and as I’ve said previously, rest of the game he was no better or worse than most of the team. Maybe folk should try to encourage him and the others during the games and leave their abuse for on here where it might not effect them.

Agree with the above, Casey was our best man although everyone gets pass marks, some were better than others but none were shite just not as good as they can be.

This game is winnable and (although I’m not saying we will) with a bit of luck we could also win another two or three before the split. I don’t know about any of you folks but I saw an improvement today by the fact that we closed down their defender’s, tried to protect the defence and although we didn’t make any clear cut chances on another day we could have got something out of the game. Onwards and hopefully upwards, keep the faith, glass half full and all that folks.

I fear he’s going to bully our defence and Cameron will dictate the game.

Had some bad touches but also had some good touches and passes today, no better or worse than most of the team today.
