I see change this and change that wtf would you want to change a team that's unbeaten in 4 makes no sense exactly the opposite. What we are doing is clearly working and it works with the players we have Great win today great effort from all.
-
That's it mate just don't have the answer to that it's all a risk really but all the development fees we get we should be getting transfer fees. I feel blessed we had Campbell for ages and got to see Turnbull come good feel like we will miss out on seeing Johnston in a Well shirt for long which is kinda gutting. I have a feeling he might end up Aberdeen just have feeling old AB will be sniffing around that like a rat lol. I think having an old man as an ex footballer might have not helped our cause in contract negotiations either pretty sure he will have enough contacts to get him a better deal elsewhere. I mean some of the clubs apparently looking at him down south even playing in the development leagues down in England is some standard to test yourself it's rammed with talent.
-
We will never ever make any money on our youth players unless we play them more in the first team it's as simple as that. I would rather have seen a Max Johnston pushing for a first team since start of season than O Donnell who has been utterly useless for well over a year when he has came in. Least with a young one you will get endless effort and keen to Impress some of the performances I witnessed from certain first team players last 7 months of so I wouldn't let them on the training pitch.
-
100 percent this!we used every other Lego brick to fill that hole and O.Donnell has been pretty much a non event for about a year and half. I can't for life of me understand why he was allowed to go out on loan to Cove in September more so by a manager that's watched my career progress but doesn't fancy me to actually play for the first team when I am clearly good enough.
-
You can't force a contract true but you can see potential that should have been playing in our first team. I say this 6 months playing with us no matter how bad we were I be willing to bet we would have got made a few offers in January for him just a good footballer talented kid Christ he might have even signed a new contract. He didn't get all this potential and quality from being at Cove for 6 months come on now. Dropped the soap on this one sadly.

What for me is worse that Steven Hammel of youth set up to manager didn't get him contracted up as soon as he became manager. The fact from what I gather had a fantastic season at QOTS let's be honest could have walked into the team so what did Hammell do sends him out to Cove! That in itself was probably the final nail in the coffin for the guy shouldn't have been out on loan in first place. When I heard Hammel go on about bridging the gap between First team and youth set up in his first interview utter nonsense hardly got a glimpse of seeing our young guys hardly even a bit part.

Shields has come in for over the top criticism really not had a far chance playing in natural position but folk piss and moan about KVV aswell apart from the fact totally different player last 3 games, think he is 4th top striker in the league defo top 5th. So Shields has no chance when you think about it with our fan base.
-
My last thoughts on Hammel. Terrible number 2 appointment that was a massive mistake. The August transfer window was a farce when we are pinning hopes on a striker that might be fit that's hardly kicked a ball for years and a winger that has an injury list aslong as yer arm I knew it was going to be dicey. Keep forcing with a formation until it works making the players miserable and life sucked out them. When you listen to Kettlewell and Hammel it's like night an day I am glad Hammel got the sack before it got extremely toxic which it would have become by now if it carried on. I for one am much happier now than I was two weeks ago and I hope it remains like this under Kettlewells management.Onwards and upwards COYW.
-
I say one thing KVV looks a totally different player last two games now he has so actual support.Yesterday he was absolutely fantastic. Him and Obika total handful for Hearts yesterday defence.Look a good pairing.
-
I couldn't give a flying shite how cheap he is the key to it is this he has the players performing and performing well think he has enough to keep us up. End of the season or a year and a half contract whatever from the doom and gloom under Hammell and Kerr to this?I know what one I shall be picking everyday. Mind boggles what was going on under last management team whatever it was must have been shocking.
-
I say one thing how good is the pressing under Kettlewell my god I been missing that all season.Every man from front to back right in Hearts players faces no time for them on the ball.
-
KVV totally fantastic today chased down absolutely everything track back and holding ball upfront. Him and Obika up front are such a handful.

100 percent the fitness has been worse since the return from the World Cup break.I don't know what they were doing but it's regressed terribly. But that has to do with the management team really drilling the players properly. I truly believe this is why the midfield have been so bad at tracking back this season the fitness isn't upto scratch. Slattery is prime example he has gave away so many yellow cards this season because he is not fit enough to keep up with opponents so just fouls them.
-
Watched a few interviews with McCann and been impressed how he comes across doesnt shirk about pulling up players, not shy calling them embarrassing and threating with shipping them out on loan. Would have to be on a long term contract that might be the stumbling block don't think the board will be offering any of them soon.
-
I see folk saying not Kettlewell but not giving us any actual alternatives. So please enlighten us with decent alternatives that might come to us?
-
Kettlewell for me wouldn't be to bothered if he does get it but like I said before 100 percent only if he is allowed to bring in own coaching staff.I don't want to see David Clarkson and such as assistant manager let them do what they are doing and bring in a proper assistant no excuses not too. Grant McCann interests me but I don't think we will interest him enough to take the job and Holloway would be an utter disaster.
-
I say one thing if Kettlewell gets the gig I hope to god he would be allowed to bring in a assistant of his choice. It was good to actually witness some in game management which has been sorely lacking.
-
I am at the stage where give it to someone with remit stay in division if we go down you get chance to bring us back up. Just think Hughes and Wright is going backwards we should be looking forwards however do I have faith in the board to right thing 100 percent no. Still think it will be Kettlewell until end of the season if he gets a win the night point on Sunday it's nailed on.
-
Sorry but some of the names are absolutely horrific Yogi,Wright all this for me is backwards thinking and putting up the white flag by the board and one I am done with. When I read things like 'Wright would want a longer deal than one offered'nah not haven't any of this it's bowling club mentality. I be looking to progress the club not hinder it you have guys in 40s that have been managing for 5-10 years if we are going out then go out in style get someone in year and half contract if we go down then they have the chance to bring us back up. If Tommy Wright and John Hughes are the answer then my answer is keeping money in pocket with all Motherwell related stuff until further notice.
-
Just curious question to everyone do folk want someone until end of the season or someone more long term?.
-
I would love it to be David Healy from Linfield yes I know one of the bigger teams in N Ireland but has European experience ,been managing for about 7 years or so now plus knows the market we are dipping more and more into.Think it be a good fit worth a punt. Nobody really stands out tbh abit one and the same with everyone that's out of a job right now nothing really between them.
-
I say one thing man management shall need to be a major key in us staying up this season and moving forward but I have a confident feeling once that first W comes in we shall be able to push on from that. The club for me need to think of the big picture though should we go down I be more than happy for a year and half contract with new manager knowing should we go down then they have the chance to bring us back up. Onwards and upwards I shall always have Well hope although it's been kicked in the balls this season we are not out til the maths tells us and at least now we have a wee fighting chance maybe. COYW
-
I would be on the blower to Linfield try to get David Healy been in management now for 7 years and coming from the market we seem to be dipping into for transfers be perfect for us. On Goodwin and Ross those just because it doesn't work somewhere else doesn't mean they wont work with us be more than happy to have them.Lambert just not feeling it must be a reason he has been out of the game down South for 2 years comes across pretty head up his own arse if i am honest.
-
The boards silence speaks volumes they have gave up the ghost clearly not watching what every one else is watching. The board are fully to blame for this mess and they didn't have the balls after the St Johnstone game to to the right thing.
-
Exactly Obika winning the balls and KVV kicking them in the net we can all dream lol. 100 percent two up front for me all the forward options we have.
