I donāt think I could handle a penalty shootout against them again. And weāve still got a score to settle after our last visit there in 2015 in the League Cup.
-
Angry as ever I see? Thankfully I was wrong. Itās not a brilliant draw for us but it could have been worse. Itās winnable!
-
Weāll draw a Premiership side, nothing surer. Fingers crossed for Bonnyrigg Rose at home š¤

Job done, thatās all that matters in the Scottish Cup. Three good goals. Spittal did well to make up for his penalty miss with a great free kick. And good to get revenge on Alloa at last. Their goalkeeper wasnāt jumping about like his arse was on fire at the end today! Fuck the Clackmannanshire Bridge!
-
Knew he was missing that! Same as the Killie game back in August where we missed after a long delay.
-
HT grim grim stuff. This could go either way.
-
Conor fucking Sammon! Had to be him.
-
It is but itās a sign of the absolute state of the squad we have. Weak as piss and devoid of quality.
-
Itās not the most overwhelming signing I admit and heās spent more time on Clyde SSB than on a football park this season but heās here and he deserves his chance so heāll get my support.
-
Welcome to the club Andy. Hopefully his experience of playing at this level will benefit us.
-
It would be if I actually did that. But I donāt though? Do I? If I think weāll lose I predict a loss. If I think weāll win I predict a win. And if I think weāll be relegated then Iāll say it. I think this is the first season in years that I genuinely have come out and said that I think we will be relegated. In previous years Iāve said it was a possibility, which it certainly looked like for a while last season, but this year something feels different.
-
Yeah he was a decent player for them and considered a big prospect if I remember correctly. Iāve not followed his career so donāt know how things have gone for him since.
-
Scott Fraser ex Dundee Utd?
-
āFuck Hearts Wankersā Horrific patter that was quite the thing on these boards back in the day.
-
Oh of course, the āFaithers of the supportā donāt want to hear any criticism of the team and the club from anyone who didnāt watch us play in the first division in the 1980s. Why not throw in a āFHWā rant about Hearts and their fans for the full house?
-
Iāve supported Motherwell FC for well over 30 years and I have no intention of stopping now, even if I do believe we are in dire straits. So I wonāt be going anywhere to support anyone else.
-
Because weāre rank rotten and have won once in the last four and a half months. Obviously on paper it would look like a shock but for anyone whoās seen us this season then it really wouldnāt be that surprising. Their players donāt need to be a threat to us, we are capable of doing that all by ourselves because we canāt score goals and canāt defend so they will get chances. I stand by my earlier prediction. We will draw and then get beat on penalties, just like we did in 1996.

We are a mess, on and off the park. Going all the way back to July 2022 we have been operating in a shambolic manner with ridiculous recruitment and managerial appointment decisions. Alan Burrows jumping ship when he did is now starting to look like he very much saw the writing on the wall and got out before the shit well and truly hit the fan and a year on we are nowhere nearer to finding a replacement for him. On the park we have been dreadful this season and that lies at the door of the manager and head of recruitment. That, along with our horrendous luck with injuries this season and now the loss of our only good player definitely looks like the die is cast for us and we are going down this season.
-
It will be no shock whatsoever if they turn us over on Saturday. That would just be the āperfectā end to a dismal week, with Slatteryās injury and now Biereth being recalled.
-
Sadly thatās all weāve got to cling to, that other teams can be slightly more shite than us. Like I said, we have nothing to look forward to as a club.
-
Absolute hammer blow to lose Biereth, the only quality attacking option we have. As others have said I have absolutely no faith in SK to bring in an adequate replacement in this window and his dismal transfer business last summer is going to get us relegated. This season cannot end quick enough. The end of this season may very well bring with it the end of our top flight status but if thatās whatās going to happen then we just need to deal with it however we can. There is literally nothing to look forward to between now and May. Our team is shite, our manager is out of his depth and relegation is looming.
-
Well that post by me was obviously shite and I would have hoped been quite clear that I wasnāt being serious and having a thinly veiled dig at a certain section of our support and a section of Scottish football fans in general, but I realise that sometimes you need a smiley or a * followed by an explanation for some people to āget itā. On a serious note Iām not overly keen on us signing a 32 year old whoās hardly kicked a ball for the best part of a year and is well on his way to establishing himself as a pundit on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard alongside Gordon Dalziel as his main gig. But I do accept that we are short of options and need reinforcements so if we do bring Andy Halliday in then heāll get my support.
-
I donāt want us to sign Halliday because he is a Rangers fan and ex Rangers player. Weāve already got a strip with a sash on it so can you imagine what the Celtic fans will say if we sign Staunch Andy?
-
I can see both sides of that argument. On one side KvV had a terrific spell from February to May last season, heights he will likely never reach again in goal scoring terms. He is 32 years old and as far as I know has never had a season or a run like that before in his career. He is āon the pedestalā with the club and the support now and it would be a shame to see him go the way of Faddy 2nd & 3rd time and Moult last season where heās not delivering but nobody wants to admit it. However the other side is that he is clearly a better option than anything we currently have up front and would give us something in the way of goal scoring threat for the second half of the season. I would take him if we could get him on loan until the end of the season. I donāt think for one minute he would be as prolific as he was Feb - May 23 but he would get goals. I donāt see us being able to get him though.

Adam Montgomery loan until the end of the season confirmed.
