Hibs beating Dundee 3-0 which is good for us. Or indeed would be if we could actually muster a goal and a win in our remaining fixtures.
-
It was never going to be anything else from our point of view. Apart from the fact that we are shite, for as long as I can remember whenever any game is hyped up or is billed as important we never turn up*. We got away with it yesterday because Hearts were also hopeless and Shankland missed a chance in stoppage time that he would have buried last season. We scraped a point but it was more down to Hearts shooting themselves in the foot rather than anything we did to earn it. * I know that there have been occasions where we have won important games but it just seems like we never turn up in such games. Hiya weeyin đ Hiya spiderpig đ

There isnât one potential fixture that youâd be confident of getting a result from with this team. The first post split game could be St.Johnstone at Fir Park or Hearts at Tynecastle it wouldnât matter, because we wouldnât win either.
-
Well another dismal performance where we offered nothing in attack and were pedestrian as ever. Fortunately for us though Hearts were equally poor and as a result we managed to scrape a rare clean sheet and a point. We need to hope for a kind set of post split fixtures but in truth itâs hard to see us winning another game this season.

Balcombe starts Watt leads the line God help us!

Sadly agree. Our squad is guff and Hearts will have too much for us. The fact that itâs inevitably been hyped up as a potential âtop six deciderâ and all the social media talk of a big day, the sun shining and so on only helps point to one outcome. Itâs got disappointment and defeat written all over it.
-
Certain posters on here will accuse you of the same. Anyway it seems our former keeper had an excellent game and made a brilliant penalty save to keep Rangers Euro dreams very much alive.

Ahh the Hall of the damned. Another old favourite go-to on here for when someone states a view or starts a topic that doesnât sit well with some. It was like me the other week. I fancied a bank loan for ÂŁ100k but had no real reason for needing it and no security to put up against it. I went to the bank and made my application on those basis. Very quickly they told me that my application was baseless and I didnât meet their lending criteria. Now deep down I knew that this was a perfectly sound and reasonable answer but it wasnât the answer I wanted to hear so restraining my disappointment I simply said âMr Bank-man, this.isâŚt-t-t-trolling. Itâs trolling. You are a troll and I have strong suspicions that Rangers are the big team you really support.â He offered to give me a letter stating in writing their decision to refuse my application but I told him to stick it in the Hall of the damned and walked out.

Because heâs a foreign coach with very little understanding of Scottish football (and thatâs not a slight on him, itâs just what it is) and he inherited an absolute shit show from his predecessor. Like I said itâs just a hunch and I could be totally wrong but I just donât see Michael Wimmer being here long term.
-
Because I think he might well chuck it in the summer. Based on nothing mind you, just a hunch but as I said yesterday this just doesnât feel like a long term tenure.
-
If we are relegated he will go, Iâm pretty certain of that. It may well be on his own terms or a mutual agreement but heâll be gone at the end of the season if we are no longer in the top flight imo. I actually suspect that he might go in the summer regardless of what league we are in.

We need points badly to keep ourselves away from the playoff spot. Playing a side that are coming off a bad result and who know that they need to win to secure top six does not work in our favour. Had Hearts won yesterday and secured top six their approach to this game would have been completely different and they may even have rested players ahead of the Scottish Cup Semi Final. They may weâll still have beaten us as we are hopeless but facing a Hearts side who had already secured top six would have given us a better chance of a result against them than facing a Hearts side knowing they need to win.
-
Regardless of the squad he has or the way heâs used his players I will be very surprised if Michael Wimmer is still our manager come the end of 2025. It just has that feel of short term tenure.
-
Itâs anything but a dead rubber but nothing to do with any silly wee dreams about top six, itâs about keeping us away from the playoff spot.
-
So Hearts lose today at home to Dundee Utd. That is literally the WORST result that we could have hoped for. Because firstly itâs going to be yet another side coming off a bad result playing against us and needing points. Say no more. And secondly it keeps our outside hopes of top six alive and we all know that that never ends well. I expect the social media team to try and hype this game up all week as a âchance to secure historyâ and all that nonsense. Videos of players giving sound bites aplenty like Luke Armstrong saying âit can be doneâ whilst swishing his pony tail. Andy Halliday giving the camera a dead eye stare and saying âitâs timeâ And Lennon Miller doing a few keepy-uppys and then just nodding. 0-3 Hearts

Itâs unlikely that StJ will catch us but as I said theyâve just got a result that we absolutely would not have got. Had that been us playing Celtic at Fir Park today we would have lost by at least two goals. So they will gain some degree of confidence from that. The playoffs for us are most likely. We will lose to Hearts next week and then it will be all down to how many points we can pick up in the last five games. On current form and with the team we have itâs hard to see us picking up many, if any points. Bum status: squeaky
-
Yip, sickening to see St.Johnstone get a result that we could only dream of and more importantly it pulls them closer to us. Anyone who doesnât think that relegation is a distinct possibility is dreaming.
-
Thatâs my thoughts too. Clearly Wimmer was up against it from the off and the squad of utter shite that he inherited was not of his doing, but the players he is picking are simply not up to it and you donât see things improving any time soon. Personally Iâll be amazed if we avoid the playoffs and you wouldnât bank on this squad of dross having the ability and fight to win a two-legged tie against whatever Championship side we end up facing. And after that Iâd expect us and Wimmer to part company whether thatâs on his terms or ours.
-
Another defeat 0-3
-
Next week is already a write off imo. Hearts will have their sights firmly set on securing top six and we donât have the quality to get a result against them. * So itâs going to come down to the post split fixtures and at the moment itâs hard to see us getting any sort of momentum or even a positive result with the squad of players we have. The playoffs are a serious possibility. * I know we won 3-1 against them back in August but that was a long time ago and things have changed since then. Hearts have improved significantly and we have been dismal for months.
-
Okay mate fair enough. Though it wouldnât take much to be more positive than me! However I think that any talk of us still being in contention for top six is utterly wild when you look at our form (Ibrox apart) and the squad of dross that we have. Like I said the other day, itâs not happening.
-
Give it up seriously. Youâre starting to sound like James McFadden commentating on a Scotland game when theyâre 0-2 down at 70 minutes. âYe know whit if we score soon we might still huv a chance of gettin back in thisâ
-
If and it is a big IF we avoid relegation then Wimmer needs to be gutting out about 90% of that squad in the summer because it is largely hopeless.
-
Oxborough needs to be back in goal next week at the very least. Not that it will make much difference.

Assume the red was for his studs being up?
