Well firstly that’s not likely is it? Because Hearts won’t be involved in the relegation playoff this season. So that scenario won’t play out. Secondly, while I certainly wouldn’t be cheering/applauing/taking any kind of satisfaction in Hearts relegating us with Moult and KvV scoring against us there almost certainly WOULD be some within our support who would, or at the very least would come out with pish like “I’m pleased for Moult/KvV” if they scored against us for the likes of Dundee Utd. And I defy ANYONE to say otherwise.

It’s the same with all walks of life, the people with money and influence don’t give a toss about the average person, in this case the supporters. The sponsors and TV company are the big cash cows for the people running the game so they get to call the shots. And there is nothing that anyone can do about it because that’s just the way it is and how it will always be.

In fairness it’s an almost guaranteed three points for his team so you can see why Aberdeen would want it on.

Rangers v Ross County has now been called off due to travel issues for County. You would think then that the same travel issues would apply to us having to basically do the reverse of that journey up to the North East?

I’ll believe it when I see it but I too would much rather see KvV sign for Rangers than either of those two clubs or Aberdeen. Obviously I wouldn’t applaud him if/when he plays/scores against us but if he signs for Rangers then I hope he does well and pockets a league winners medal at the end of his loan spell. Trust me, it happened.

There is a time and a place to show respect to former players imo and it most certainly isn’t when they are playing against us.

Yes, Iain Vigurs. Not even a club legend but instead an absolute imposter with us, scored against us for ICT and you had mugs in the East Stand clapping him.

Applauding the team off the park is something I can understand to be fair, especially if we’ve given everything but lost because we weren’t good enough. I don’t like it personally but I get it. It’s the ones who seem to value certain ex players more than the club itself that rip my knitting. It’s as if they view the likes of McFadden, Moult, the majority of the ‘91 team etc as “their pals”. Each to their own of course but I just can’t understand why any supporter of the club would hold certain players, current or former, in higher regard than the club itself. And I say that as someone who loves the ‘91 team (Tom Boyd apart) and views Faddy and Moult as two of the best players ever to play with the club, certainly two of my all time favourites in our colours.

And some trumpets in our support would still applaud Moult or KvV if either or both scored goals against us to get us relegated.
