  1. This has all the makings of a repeat of the September game at Fir Park. Celtic below par, we’re not good enough to take advantage and they will eventually wear us down with their superior fitness and quality and the happy clappies will warble on about how we were “unlucky” and that “we played well”. 🙄 The end result will be the same though, we get fuck all.
  2. Got to make chances like that count in games like this!
  3. Mugabi back in from the start, SO’D starts again. As if it wasn’t going to be hard enough today. On the plus side Biereth starts.
  4. I’m no fan of McLeish but he did play his part in Skippy Sunday by guiding his Rangers side to victory in their game at Easter Road so for that he gets a pass.
  5. Sadly true. We are Pauper FC. Or at least that’s the image those running the club want to put out.
  6. I’ve never been able to take him seriously since Jamie Hamill bodied him onto the ground at Tynecastle.
  7. He certainly was, he kept the scoreline respectable for Hearts at Fir Park a couple of years back when we beat them 2-0 and saved them from a gubbing against Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final a couple of seasons back. If he can stay fit Craig Gordon could play for another couple of years, he’s still a top class shot stopper with ridiculous reflexes, his problem is as has always been, he’s murder with the ball at his feet and trying to play the ball out from the back.
  8. That’s one of the many reasons I can’t be arsed with international football, players get to choose their nationality if and when it suits them. That defeats the entire purpose of ‘Representing your country’ imo.
  9. Gallagher looked excellent for us in his first season, the one that was curtailed by the pandemic. However his head was turned by being capped by Scotland and that along with the pressure of getting the captains armband and no doubt his agent in his ear meant that he was never the same for us in 20/21. That said I’d take a half arsed Declan Gallagher over Bombscare Bevis in our defence any day of the week.
  10. You’re right, there are absolutely no circumstances where Neil Lennon would become our manager. Apart from what I said the other night about us never being able to appoint such a high profile individual he would bring too much off field baggage that in the long run would do us no favours. He would almost certainly have our support fighting amongst themselves even more than normal.
  11. 7-0 home win. This won’t be pleasant.
  12. While I’m not disputing anything you have said there, Neil Lennon does have a track record of starting well at clubs and injecting a spark/kicking them up the arse before it starts to fall apart further down the line when he gets disillusioned and results start going against him. His managerial career has seen basically that same pattern play out at every club he’s been in charge at. My worry there would be that he would get Ross County fired up enough just enough to avoid relegation this season, potentially at our expense.
  13. Rumours of County going for Neil Lennon. That would be bad news for us as he would get them fired right up, in the short term at least. It would also be pretty sickening if this happened because again this is the type of appointment we just would not or could not make. Yet a club who are arguably smaller than us could make it.
  14. Well deserved he was a great servant for the club was big Softie. 👍
  15. You can comment on whatever you like. I just think you made a tit of yourself by telling me to enjoy the “journey back to Edinburgh” accusing me of being a Hearts fan when I was at the game, supporting Motherwell and you weren’t.
  16. Frail with Clarkson and Foster as his assistants, nothing surer. It was the same this time last year when we were having this discussion about Hammell and who would replace him and just about everyone and their granny knew it would be Kettlewell.
  17. Just my own weird humour and trying to make light of our dire and dismal situation. I did find a great deal of irony in the poster calling me a roaster and to “enjoy the journey back to Edinburgh” because by their own admission they weren’t even at the game.
  18. That’s exactly who it will be once Kettlewell goes.
  19. It wasn’t aimed at you it was aimed that those in our support who would have McFadden as our manager, player even, for no other reason than because he is who he is. They know who they are.
  20. If James McFadden gets anywhere near our managers job then I might be tempted to take him up on that. He would be an absolutely dreadful appointment. Why would anyone seriously want Faddy as manager or to be part of the management team again? Daft question there because I already know the answer, the same people would be happy enough to have him playing in the first team for us every week even at the age of 40. Wee newsflash for you…2003 was a long, long time ago and the 20 year old wonderkid is now a middle aged man who churns out cliches and states the bleeding obvious in the media.
  21. Perhaps yes, but no one is suggesting me for the managers job fortunately.
  22. I’d like to see Craigan back at the club in some capacity but not as manager. We can’t afford to just hand him the job for nostalgic reasons. As for Faddy, he should be nowhere near the coaching staff. He’s been here before as assistant and it was a disaster and was binned by Robinson. He’s also a clueless buffoon as he regularly shows whenever he Co-commentates for Radio Scotland.
  23. Oh right. So you weren’t at the game but you “feel the need to call it out”. So you still feel the need to make crass, uncalled for comments? You still feel the need to just argue for the sake of it? Okay, whatever you like.
  24. What part? Suggesting that we are likely to be relegated or the ‘fat lady’ bit? Either way, I’ve not seen any convincing argument against my belief that relegation is a distinct possibility (to put it mildly).
  25. After Celtic we’ve got Dundee at home then Ross County away. We need six points at most or four points at least from those two games. But you just can’t trust us to get that.
