  1. That game still annoys me to this day. If we had lost 4-1 or even 5 or 6-1 in normal time then it wouldn’t rankle half as much but as it was it was just so, so Motherwell in the way way lost that. To be 4-1 down at home to St.Mirren was obviously bad enough but to then drag ourselves back into it, get level and then not fucking go on and win it with the momentum we should have had was fucking chronic. And you just KNEW that we would lose on penalties and we duly did. If we are to have any chance of winning today I think we need to score first and cannot, absolutely MUST NOT allow it to get to penalties because we will lose again if we do. Our penalty shootout record against top flight sides in Cup competitions is horrific and I don’t think we’ve ever actually won one. On the other hand I think St.Mirren actually have a very good record on penalty shootouts. Neither will change today if it gets that far.
  2. Really impressive ticket sales from our support. It just goes to show that despite poor home attendances we actually DO have a decent support for a club of our size. It’s just a pity that so many only turn up for certain games.
  3. Understandable and needs to be done, unfortunately from the point of us having him play for us is concerned. But he is (hopefully) our next big hot prospect and the ideal scenario for us is that we get a good year or so out of him before he moves on for a nice big fee.
  4. Can’t see us getting through. A score draw and a penalty loss I think.
  5. Delighted with that. Big three points and two of three new strikers in the scoresheet. Always enjoyable beating the Hibees. Sing it loud, sing it proud… #Hibs! Hibs are falling apart AGAIN!#
  6. Always have to make things uncomfortable for ourselves. We deserve the win here.
  7. I know, but I just don’t have any faith in us to go there and get a positive result. You’re probably right.
  8. And I stand by that, he offered next to nothing for us. But never mind me. St.Mirren look strong and are playing well. That is why this is a horrible draw for us in the Cup as we have next to no chance of winning it.
  9. Mandron scores for St.Mirren. They are in top form unfortunately and next week is going to be a sore one.
  10. They are yes and I reckon this is the type of game where we really need to score first and get ahead in. I don’t fancy our chances if we have to chase the game.
  11. Hibs definitely look like they have players who can do us damage on Sunday. Boyle, Newell, Le Fondre, Vente and Levitt would all walk into our team and improve it. We’ll do well to get a draw here I reckon.
  12. Last home win against them Aug ‘19 3-0 win? Apart from that game we seem* to lose to Hibs early on the season on a regular basis. There was the 2-3 loss at FP a couple of seasons back, a 0-3 defeat at Easter Road in 2018, another 3-2 home loss in 2010 and a 2-1 loss in 2004 when Phil O’Donnell scored for us. *We obviously don’t lose to Hibs early on in the season on that regular a basis but it just seems like that.
  13. Craigan is Motherwell daft. It’s brilliant listening to him commentating on our games.
  14. Definitely. That was two well matched sides today. Neither had a lot of quality but both worked hard and a draw was the right result. Obviously having been 1-0 up and conceding a poor equaliser sticks a bit more but overall it was a decent result to kick the season off with.
  15. Bit harsh in your assessment there but you are definitely right about O’Donnell, Soare and Wilkinson. None of them look like they will be able to make a positive impact in the team this season, on the early evidence at least. Bair looked surprisingly decent in the first half and took the goal well but was anonymous in the second half, thought to be fair to him he got no support from the middle.
  16. FT 1-1. Not a bad result to start the season with, I’ll take that.
  17. Almost strange seeing McGinley again after the length of time he was out.
  18. Poor stuff. Decent ball in but completely ran off his man.
  19. That’s the best way for him to shut up his naysayers (me included). He scores goals for us then it won’t matter a jot how underwhelming a signing he was or how he was viewed by St.Johnstone fans. 45 minutes into the season and it’s Theo Bair 1-0 His doubters.
  20. The fucking BAIR!!! Lovely move and finish!
  21. The balls starting to hold up in the water. This is going to become a complete lottery if the rain keeps up. Some advert for summer football!
  22. Dundee have a better front line than we do but we are doing better in the middle of the park so far.
