  1. Other results have been not to bad for us today with Ross County losing and Utd & Killie both drawing from winning positions.
  2. The first Rangers goal was pathetic from Kelly. Getting beat at his near post like that was Stevie Woods-esq
  3. It genuinely would be less annoying if they played “Always look on the bright side of life” after a loss.
  4. We never learn playing this mob. If you sit in deep, play one up front with no support then you will get nothing. With Obika out then Tierney or McKinstry should have started today, or Mandron if he was fit enough.
  5. Well that was typical Motherwell v Rangers fare. Cheap goals conceded, no luck with decisions and just pure frustration. I need to see all the key decisions again but the length of time it took to confirm their 3rd goal when it was obvious they were going to allow it was ludicrous. And on a final note I wish to Christ we would stop playing Chumba fucking wumba after every defeat. Apart from being a shite song it just rubs it in getting beat.
  6. It was daft from Slattery no doubt but Cantwell made sure he made the most of it. The same player that got away with niggles and fouls all afternoon.
  7. That Cantwell is another detestable cheating bastard that Rangers have acquired. Mop headed prick.
  8. Obika injured now as well I take it? No doubt that’ll be the last we see of him this season too now. That team is never scoring today.
  9. A draw would be great but just can’t see it. 0-3
  10. So when they as a group collectively decide to boycott the first fifteen minutes of a match at the ground of the club they support, or walk out as a group or disrupt matches by throwing stuff on to the park…is that them valuing their own status more or that of the club? As I said there are decent guys in that group and I believe their intentions are good towards the club, but the saying goes “you are judged by the company you keep”. To me that group have became a bit of a ‘Green brigade wannabe’ bunch over the last few years with their petty grievances and behaviour.
  11. It was the St.Johnstone game at the start of the season that they threw stuff on the park at the start of the second half, supposedly in protest about mistreatment they had received at St.Mirren the week before or something, happy to be corrected if wrong on that one. I’ve said this before on here, I don’t like the Well Bois. There are obviously some decent lads in their section but a lot of them seem to value their status as a group more than the club itself and their behaviour at certain away grounds is questionable, to say the least. Not to mention invading the park and throwing objects, the latter of which has happened on more than one occasion from that area of FP in games against Rangers, hopefully we don’t see that today. And then when they inevitably attract unwanted attention due to the above they cry about heavy handed policing. Again, very Green Brigade.
  12. Absolutely. What happens on the park is surely the main concern for the vast majority of the Motherwell support.
  13. How very ‘Green Brigade’. Maybe the Bois got some tips from that mob in return for them having a joint protest with them at Fir Park a few years ago? Go to the football, support your team and don’t set off flares or jump on the park or square up to stewards and police and they might just find that they are left alone to get on with things. But hey…no pyro no party eh? I for one won’t be ‘standing with them’.
  14. The grandparent/ancestor rule is one of the (many) reasons that makes International football meaningless to me. If you can pick and choose your nationality in a footballing sense then it just makes a mockery of the whole thing and it is clear that in the case of Angus Gunn that he is opting to ‘be Scottish’ because he knows he has next to no chance of ever featuring for the England national team. I know his father is Scottish but that was the case when Gunn jnr was representing England at every youth level up to u-21, so why else change national team now?
  15. Granted. Although it was down to us that they weren’t in it for one of those seasons after we cuffed them in the playoffs. 😁
  16. It’s nonsense to say “who cares about these games”? as clearly the majority of the support do care and would desperately love a result against them. Obviously we are not going to compete with either of them over the course of a season, no one is as was shown when Hearts and Hibs were easily swept aside last night, but the frustration comes from the fact that other sides have managed to beat Rangers at least once in that twenty years we have failed to. I’m not talking about the Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeens, the clubs with an obvious financial advantage over us here, Hamilton fucking Accies have managed to win twice at Ibrox in the last few years ffs! Ross County have knocked Celtic out of both cups on three occasions in the last twelve years, St.Mirren managed by Robinson and half our ex team beat Celtic this season, something they never achieved when with us. Obviously these are ‘one offs’ and the exception to the rule but the question has to be why do we never manage to pull off these ‘one off’ results now and again? We need to stop simply writing these games off beforehand and at least show a bit of belief that we can get something, but the mentality of us just shrugging it off and accepting our fate seems deeply engrained in the club nowadays.
  17. That was 26 years ago. We haven’t recorded a league victory against Rangers in over 20 years. We haven’t beaten Celtic in over seven years and have lost our last straight fifteen matches against them. Those are facts, however dreary or negative they may be. And why do I bother? I guess because I’m a passionate Motherwell FC supporter who supports the team and the club through thick and thin, even when we are turning in our usual no shows against the Old Firm.
  18. No. Motherwell do not beat Rangers, or Celtic for that matter. We might scrape a draw but even that’s unlikely.
  19. I fucking hate Aberdeen with a passion but glad they beat Dundee Utd this evening. #alanburrowssheepshaggingarmy
  20. Each to their own, but I hope that Alan Burrows has a winning start to his tenure as Aberdeen chief. For our sake of course, not for his or his new club’s.
  21. Aye absolutely, our priority is getting safe from relegation. We spawny-ied a top six finish last season and it ultimately hampered us going into this one. Let’s not try and run before we can walk.
  22. This is the key factor. We are unbeaten in four because we have stopped giving away so many cheap and avoidable goals. Having two competent defenders really does make a difference.
  23. Thank goodness indeed. That is a superb result and yet again KvV shows that he is our most important player.
  24. Give him service and he’ll score goals for us. KvV is a proper No.9
  25. Great ball and great header. Get in!!
