Man for man I would say we have the worst squad in the league. Obviously Dundee Utd are having a dreadful season and are a poor side themselves but they have at least four players that would improve our team.

If we’re being honest we really should be at least 3-0 down by now given some of the chances Hearts have missed, but when you are 0-0 against a side down to 10 men and you concede right on half time then it’s a psychological blow and one I don’t see us recovering from.

Yes it is. We have not taken a single point in any game that we have conceded the first goal in this season and that won’t change today. We need to yet again look at the Slattery, KVV chances that we didn’t take and then poor defending is our undoing up the other end. Same old story I’m afraid.

It was pointless because he has barely kicked a ball in the last two and half years due to injury and like Moult we would have been well aware of this, or at least we should have been. And even more pointless imo because he did little to impress during his previous, albeit brief spell with us in early 2020. The only saving grace for this deal was that the deal was a loan and not a permanent one.

Aarons loan terminated due to injury. Correct decision but reinforces what a totally pointless signing this was. If Moult can’t get match fit asap then the same should happen with his deal.

Going by the rules of the game regarding intent I can completely see why Watt was red carded and that still only supports it for me. Look at his boot and his studs, that is dangerous play no matter how you dress it up and Goss does well to anticipate it otherwise that is a potentially serious injury for him.

Definitely, it feels like ‘justice done’ in a way for the Fir Park game in September where we played significantly better than we did today but just couldn’t get the goal or the luck we deserved. That was a 0-0 type of game today yet we’ve nicked it and it feels extremely satisfying.

Dreadful stuff again performance wise but an absolutely priceless result. This is the kind of win that keeps you up in a relegation fight. We badly needed those three points.

We’ve always had this bad habit of playing poorly against a side with 10 men, regardless of how good a side we have at the time. If we can manage to hold out for a 1-0 here it’ll be a great result.
