  1. Great to see our top scorer van Veen(pen) back on the scoresheet. But in all seriousness they all count and that was a beautifully taken penalty. Cool as you like.
  2. Looks ridiculous. Almost the entire stand lying empty while the small band of away fans are shoved away in the corner. That puts our putting small away supports in the top tier of the South Stand into perspective.
  3. I’d imagine Shields is starting as we’re short of options up front. Moult is clearly still not match fit and Aarons is out altogether.
  4. Slattery and Efford start, Maguire and Cornelius benched.
  5. We need to sharpen up up front and we need to win this game. 2-1 with a KvV penalty and Moult winning it late on for us.
  6. Hopefully yes. Tuesday night and next Saturday at Easter Road will give us a better picture of where we are at.
  7. We well might yes, as the squad we have isn't great by any stretch. As I've said before there has been an upturn in the mood around the club since Hammell took over and if we can avoid 11th or 12th this season then we can build on that going forward. Our ineffectiveness up front is our biggest issue in my opinion.
  8. It’s absolutely frightening to think that Alexander thought this group of players with the addition of Josh Morris would have been good enough this season. Especially as he had managed him previously. We’ll never know of course but I am certain that we would have either been relegated or been very close to it this season had Alexander been allowed to stay in charge.
  9. It was yes, I was just surprised to see him red carded for it.
  10. Well a defeat as expected, though not the utter embarrassment that it could well have been and we at least got the satisfaction of a comedy own goal to cheer about. It’s hard to properly gauge where we are as Celtic are clearly on a different stratosphere to us (without wanting to sound as if I’m blowing smoke up their arses) but what is clear is that Maguire and Morris should be nowhere near our squads going forward as they are simply nowhere near good enough. On to Dingwall on Tuesday now, where a win is a must.
  11. Morris would be lucky to get a game at junior level. That was the standard of the player that Alexander was prepared to ‘strengthen’ our squad with this season. On a side note that was pretty cynical from McGregor there. Glad, and surprised to see him red carded for it. The nasty wee bug eyed prick that he is.
  12. Got away with one big time there, sitter from Kyogo.
  13. Hart is a really good keeper but he’s always had a blunder or two in him. Hopefully he has another today and we can take advantage of it.
  14. It’s been pretty much as you would have expected, except for the scoreline. We’ve not been in it and have been chasing shadows but our heads haven’t went down so far and we got a rare bit of luck in this fixture with the goal. We will still lose but at least we’ve had something to shout (and laugh) about. If we could just repeat that at Fir Park in a couple of weeks time then you never know.
  15. They’re that good they’re even scoring goals for us now. Hope that prick Boyd is raging.
  16. I wouldn’t say it’s one of Celtic’s best ever sides. Their teams under Martin O’Neill with the likes of Larsson, Sutton, Petrov were better than this current side. However I don’t think the gap in quality between Celtic and sides like us has ever been bigger, even back in the O’Neill days. What makes this Celtic side so strong is their workrate, athleticism and intensity. When you have all of that along with the best players in the league then you will make short shrift of most sides nine times out of ten.
  17. Maguire is as good as a man down most weeks so starting him today was baffling.
  18. The first Hearts goal against us the other week? No I posted a good few times on that match thread at half time and full time that day. A match that I was at, supporting the team and despite the result I applauded their efforts at the end. Whereas you of course were sitting on the other side of the Atlantic alternating between watching the game on a dodgy stream and making snide remarks on here as you usually do. Pipe down.
  19. Parkhead is one of the few grounds in Scotland I have never been to and have absolutely no intention of ever going to. The reasons given above are mainly my reasons for avoiding it too, plus the fact that we are almost guaranteed a drubbing on the park means it a trip to avoid. It’s bad enough having them at Fir Park with 4-6k of their fans without travelling to Glasgow, pay over the odds to sit in a corner surrounded by 60k of their odious, sanctimonious scumbag followers.
  20. The problem is that they are more often than not at least three or four goals up by the time they drop their tempo. They are absolutely ferocious in attack and the pace they play at is phenomenal.
  21. The team you support losing 10-0 would be hilarious because of the ‘meltdown’ of an anonymous Internet forum member? Each to their own but that’s pretty sad.
  22. If anything them losing to St.Mirren will make it even more impossible for us to get anything here other than an absolute hammering. 10(ten)-0 home win.
