  1. The fact that we have ‘qualified for Europe’ (which is of course a massive thing for the club) with this team and manager and taking until May to win more than one league match this year says more about the standard of the rest of the league than it does about anything we have ‘achieved’. The football we have played this season and in particular since the turn of the year has been every bit as bad as what we got under Robinson in 18/19 which you absolutely slaughtered him for on a regular basis. We have Tony Watt to thank for never mind being top six, but for not being in serious relegation trouble just now. And as I type, 4-0. Still, #We’re all going on a European tour#
  2. I’d imagine this will be it’s final outing today. Don’t know why we are wearing it though as there is no colour clash.
  3. “Oh ho ho it’s magic, you know oh ho” Hearts won’t be singing/blasting that tonight. Get it right up them! Great result for us, after a pretty dismal season we’ve got a tangible reward.
  4. Well. It’s unbelievable that we are in Europe after the season we’ve just had, but we are. Well done all involved, whatever anyone thinks about how we achieved it or how it happened, we managed it and that is massive for us as a club.
  5. Pretty poor stuff so far from us. The goal apart we have offered very little and look very slack and panicky whenever they are in the final third. Still in it though.
  6. The club Twitter definitely didn’t have KvV on the bench when the team was first announced. That must have been a late change. He’s clearly not match fit either way.
  7. On the plus side Hearts appear to be resting a few players as they have no Gordon, McKay, Souttar or Simms in their starting line up. If there is going to be a winner in this one it’ll be by a single goal, hopefully we can nick it.
  8. No KvV, not even on the bench! I take it he’s injured??
  9. Watt was good for us when he was here and if it weren’t for his goals in the first half of the season then I dread to think where we’d currently be sitting. I think we were also a good match for him after being at several clubs over the years without settling anywhere. Sadly though he did as all players do and chased the bigger pay cheque and that’s why he’s gone. No hard feelings toward him from me, he was good for us while he was here but he’s past tense now.

    Alexander.

Yeah regardless of whatever side of the ‘Alexander Out’ debate you sit on, he will not be sacked any time soon. We are never in a million years going to sack a manager who has got us a top six finish and the potential for European qualification. You can argue, justifiably so IMO, that that does nothing more than paper over ever growing cracks but the reality is GA is going nowhere and we need to accept that. Personally what I am pinning my (faint) hopes on is that somehow after a good summer and pre-season we can get some better fare next season, both with performances and consistency.
  11. Massive three points indeed. Kelly again the hero, he really is an excellent goalkeeper.
  12. That lineup certainly doesn’t inspire confidence of a good performance and a positive result. Whatever happens with regards to European qualification, this season cannot end quickly enough. Totally flat and demoralising every single week.
  13. 1-1 I reckon. God knows how we’ll line up though.
  14. No way he said that?? He is taking the piss now, he needs to go.
  15. It’s the same old story I’m afraid. We play a side that are no better than us, have a lot of the ball, create little, don’t convert any of the few chances we do create and lose a goal up the other end. We are just an ineffective team.
  16. It wasn’t a penalty and these are the type of decisions which we need VAR to be able to correct. However it had no effect on the result as we were done as soon as they went 2-1 up.
  17. Utd have a record against Rangers that we could only dream of so wouldn’t count them out getting something off them when they play them. Had Dundee Utd been in our situation at half time yesterday, with Rangers down to 10 and the score 1-1 they would have beaten them.

How about a competitive team playing at least some form of entertaining football to give the support something to look forward to when going to games?

The reality is that we are in the top six inspite of ourselves and Graham Alexander, not because of. We have been poor all season and played very little in the way of football and since the turn of the year have been utterly dismal. Fortunately for us so have several other sides so that has allowed us to sneak into the top six but even then we barely deserved it. Livingston allowing a 2-0 lead to slip against us must have them absolutely kicking themselves. On paper we have matched our remit, more than matched it really, but anyone who has watched us all season will know that that doesn’t tell half the story. We are a poor, poor side with a smattering of decent players who could do a job for us under the right management team. Unfortunately we have a poor, poor manager and there appears to be no desire from within the club to change things, especially since he was recently awarded a new contract.
  20. We’ll lose and Tony Watt will score. 2-1 home win This season cannot end quick enough.
  21. Posts like this are the Motherwell FC’s board and the heed yins wet dream.
  22. We got into the top six because the vast majority of the league is of a dreadful standard and we got lucky. One league win since Boxing Day says it all.
