  1. No KvV, not even on the bench! I take it he’s injured??
  2. Watt was good for us when he was here and if it weren’t for his goals in the first half of the season then I dread to think where we’d currently be sitting. I think we were also a good match for him after being at several clubs over the years without settling anywhere. Sadly though he did as all players do and chased the bigger pay cheque and that’s why he’s gone. No hard feelings toward him from me, he was good for us while he was here but he’s past tense now.

Yeah regardless of whatever side of the ‘Alexander Out’ debate you sit on, he will not be sacked any time soon. We are never in a million years going to sack a manager who has got us a top six finish and the potential for European qualification. You can argue, justifiably so IMO, that that does nothing more than paper over ever growing cracks but the reality is GA is going nowhere and we need to accept that. Personally what I am pinning my (faint) hopes on is that somehow after a good summer and pre-season we can get some better fare next season, both with performances and consistency.
  4. Massive three points indeed. Kelly again the hero, he really is an excellent goalkeeper.
  5. That lineup certainly doesn’t inspire confidence of a good performance and a positive result. Whatever happens with regards to European qualification, this season cannot end quickly enough. Totally flat and demoralising every single week.
  6. 1-1 I reckon. God knows how we’ll line up though.
  7. No way he said that?? He is taking the piss now, he needs to go.
  8. It’s the same old story I’m afraid. We play a side that are no better than us, have a lot of the ball, create little, don’t convert any of the few chances we do create and lose a goal up the other end. We are just an ineffective team.
  9. It wasn’t a penalty and these are the type of decisions which we need VAR to be able to correct. However it had no effect on the result as we were done as soon as they went 2-1 up.
  10. Utd have a record against Rangers that we could only dream of so wouldn’t count them out getting something off them when they play them. Had Dundee Utd been in our situation at half time yesterday, with Rangers down to 10 and the score 1-1 they would have beaten them.

How about a competitive team playing at least some form of entertaining football to give the support something to look forward to when going to games?

The reality is that we are in the top six inspite of ourselves and Graham Alexander, not because of. We have been poor all season and played very little in the way of football and since the turn of the year have been utterly dismal. Fortunately for us so have several other sides so that has allowed us to sneak into the top six but even then we barely deserved it. Livingston allowing a 2-0 lead to slip against us must have them absolutely kicking themselves. On paper we have matched our remit, more than matched it really, but anyone who has watched us all season will know that that doesn’t tell half the story. We are a poor, poor side with a smattering of decent players who could do a job for us under the right management team. Unfortunately we have a poor, poor manager and there appears to be no desire from within the club to change things, especially since he was recently awarded a new contract.
  13. We’ll lose and Tony Watt will score. 2-1 home win This season cannot end quick enough.
  14. Posts like this are the Motherwell FC’s board and the heed yins wet dream.
  15. We got into the top six because the vast majority of the league is of a dreadful standard and we got lucky. One league win since Boxing Day says it all.
  16. You’re right about that unfortunately but finishing top six only papers over the cracks. The fact that we have won one single league match this calendar year and got into the top six is more a reflection on how poor the league is rather than any achievement from us. And as things stand with both Hibs and Livingston winning we now have less points than both of them despite being 6th.
  17. Went for Tierney, for at least giving us something today.
  18. Absolutely pathetic second half showing. Created nothing and conceded two cheap avoidable goals. We need a full clear out of that squad in the summer, starting with Graham Alexander and no spawny top six finish should keep him in the post. We have been dismal all season and won ONE league match in 2022 and we are almost into May. That is unacceptable. Alexander OUT
  19. It’s a real pity he’s not, he could have done some damage today. Still, I think if we get the next goal then we’ll win.
  20. Decent first half, though still too slack at the back. The red card and our leveller has this mob rattled, if we don’t beat them today then we never will!
  21. I’d take three 1-6 defeats just for one win in this fixture tbh. That said I’d be happy with a draw today and still quite fancy it.
  22. Andy Goram in hospital being treated for cancer. Best wishes to him, horrible illness.
  23. Was he? I thought that was Celtic and their media cheerleaders? Again, I’m happy to be corrected if wrong on that. I have no doubt whatsoever that the reason that the proposal was put forward and eventually pushed through to bring the break forward was was Celtic wanted it, but Burrows by echoing that was done with our best interests, as he didn’t want us to lose out on gate money. After a full season of BCD last year then I can completely see why he’d be against a couple of games with crowds limited to 500, as that would have been a hammer blow to the club financially. I don’t remember when the SFPL meeting was but as I remember the Scottish Govt decision to bring in the restrictions which included the 500 limit to football crowds was announced on the 21st December, effective from Boxing Day. Celtic then kicked up a stink because they didn’t want to play games, particularly a game against Rangers, BCD and the decision to bring forward the break wasn’t taken until about the Thursday (23rd) of that week. I can see why Alan Burrows would have been for bringing it forward, even though he possibly wouldn’t have agreed with the Boxing Day Livi game going ahead as it did. By the there wasn’t much he could have done.
