  1. No chance everyone will get a ticket...
  2. TBF, you sound like a guy that knows everything.
  3. And maybe I'll stay aff the drink tonight...
  4. Absolutely this. LD is a perfect example of someone being promoted and positioned miles above what their talent merits. Like others at the club, she fell into a position of power and did very little, if anything, positive with it. In fact, she fostered a toxic environment (to the extent that a club legend will never set foot back in the place) and took the club to the brink. She became a bit of a media darling due, primarily, to the massive under-representation of females in football leadership. She was a novelty. Her terrible stewardship has never been questioned either here or elsewhere, but her tenures tend to be fairly short lived. Fair play to her for making a shitload of cash from an industry renowned for rewarding failure. A return to Fir Park? No. Fucking. Thanks.
  5. Anyone having problems with the online ticketing? I can't get to the checkout and it's doing my fking nut in! *IGNORE: SORTED NOW!
  6. McGinn. The most dependable of the lot.
  7. Another turgid affair. I've still absolutely no idea what the actual game plan is here, it's not even hoof-ball... And it's god awful to watch.
  8. I know we needed all 3 points, but I'd definitely take the draw now...
  9. 100% agree with the "made up pish" comment, does my nut in. Anyway, I've just bumped into Kevin van Veen at Motherwell Station, but I'm not reading anything into it.
  10. To quote a mate, "Butcher looks like a centre half playing in midfield". He was miles out of his depth yesterday, contributed nothing offensively and was poor defensively, leaving Paton and Spittal with too much on their plate. We made a half-decent Dundee midfield look like world beaters at time. The lack of quality in our squad isn't helped when Slattery is out with his predictable suspensions, but there has to be a better option than Butcher in midfield. I hope that his wee mini-tantrum in the dugout was because he knew he'd had a stinker, because of it was anger at being subbed he's having a laugh... He should've been pulled at half-time.
  11. Hylton scores for Arbroath. Let him go too soon...
  12. Fair play to Celtic for trying to address the problem that groups like them bring to games. It's only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs at a game due to overcrowding, thanks to gate storming and totally unprepared stewarding and policing. The scenes at our recent game with them should have resulted in complete stadium bans for their travelling fans. Sadly, and predictably, our club, police and media said nothing to highlight their ongoing menace. If anything, this further empowers their mob mentality. One thing is for sure: if and when the inevitable accident happens, it won't be the fault of the best fans in the world...
  13. That point papers over more cracks than a cooncil decorator... Absolutely fucking awful.
  14. Moult scores his 42nd of the season for Dundee Utd.
  15. Thoughts and Prayers to the person having urgent medical attention in the Cooper at full-time. Regardless of our pain at how the game played out, it is and always will be, just a game. Up the Well.
  16. This is exactly the type of post that gives football forums a bad name...
  17. Too early to wet the bed... But I can see us relegated be Christmas and Wilkinson is the anti-christ.
  18. He was shite... All he ever did was score goals. 😑
  19. Absolutely this! I can't think of any other club that overdoses on sentimentality quite like us, including the arse-cheeks. The "bring back brigade", strip designs linked with the past, naming of stands and the annual 91 wankfest give me the boak to be honest. Moult will always have a place in our hearts, but his days of playing at the level we require are over. Keep sentiment to watching repeats of Dad's Army.
  20. Renewing becomes a more difficult decision for me year on year. I don't love the club any less than I used to, and I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it, I just don't get the same buzz. I'm not sure if this is an age thing (been doing the renewal thing for 40 odd years) or because how football has changed for the worse over the years, but Saturday for me now is more about meeting the mates and having a beer and a laugh than it is the football. If/when I do renew, it'll be more of a habit thing anything to do with my appetite for another season. I'm some laugh at a party by the way.
  21. Tin hat time (do we still say that?). I definitely don't want to knock McKinstry, and I'm sure he knows better than anyone, but there are still many flaws to his game, ball retention and decision amongst the most obvious. He's still learning his trade after all. Without doubt he is an exciting prospect, but at this stage of the season, the position we find ourselves in and the formation we have adapted, the bench seems the right place for him at the moment... And provides the management team with an excellent attacking option if and when required.
