  1. Ox is ours and should absolutely be getting more game time than Balcombe. Regardless, the latter is no good anyway. We’ve also got Calum Ward until the end of the season to keep them on their toes.
  2. It’s either a case of: them all being shitebags someone has finally had a word in Kettlewell’s ear to advise him to stop spouting shit as it’s being detrimental to his employability and making him look like an idiot he’s legally not allowed to discuss Motherwell anymore for whatever reason (e.g. contractual severance pay?) or all of the above
  3. Oh, look, our next game is against a team coming off the back of a terrible result and in desperate need of a win. We all know what happens next.
  4. A damning indictment on what Kettlewell was allowed to build, and I can’t disagree with your assessment. Unfortunately, and to compound matters, we’re still going into next season with a lot of the current crop of crap. I imagine it’s about now, and over the next two games, where Wimmer finally realises just how big a task he’s got on his hands to fix the mess he’s inherited. I’ll be happy to finish tenth and look forward to FC Motherwell 2025/26.
  5. Nice to see Wimmer call out the lazy ones who completely chucked it with 15-20 mins to go. I hope he takes no prisoners and sends a good many packing this summer or to the bench for next season.
  6. Slattery, although the competition was limp.
  7. New manager, same issues. Aberdeen have completely bossed us. We can’t defend and we can barely string an attack together. The intensity of the press is also non-existent. I’ve said before that the damage done by Kettlewell will take Wimmer at least 18 months to rectify.
  8. Unless he switches to a 433 and we go more direct, the game is gone.
  9. Take note of the shite on display and get rid of and/or drop certain players.
  10. Same as the St Mirren game. The ref is losing control. Several Aberdeen players should be on a yellow for persistent fouling.
  11. Really poor defending for both goals. The only upside is that I’m looking forward to Gueye being sent off soon.
  12. I loved Robbo when he was with us (for the most part), but he’s evolved into a one-dimensional thuggish moron. I wouldn’t worry about what pish he spouts these days.
  13. Balcombe lost an arm in training as he tried to throw the ball to winger. SOD lost an eye to a sod of turf. Moses lost his trailing leg to an escalator in the EK shopping centre. And Davor broke all 10 fingers during an all-nighter session playing Call of Duty. Anymore?
  14. Yeh. We have some amount of talent available but his approach is generally pish. Hence my Kettlewelly comment. Perhaps if he focused on the strengths of the players, and not his own stubborn ways, he’d be under less pressure than he currently is. More fool him.
  15. The writing is on the wall and has been for some time. He's either replaced now or in the not too distant future. It's all getting a bit Kettlewelly.
  16. Or the other scenario is that we qualify for the World Cup, like the Euros, and shite the bed again, but on a global stage this time. As others have suggested, my view is that qualification should now be the bare minimum expected and not the main measure of success for a Scotland manager.
  17. I mentioned that on this thread a year or two ago. The disconnect between the U21s and A squad is vast and epitomises one of the major issues we have with enabling better pathways for progression. To me it suggests, and it’s what I’ve said before, that each squad is managed as its own little fiefdom, which is complete madness for international football. We have zero strategic approach to bettering ourselves as a footballing nation on the international stage.
  18. If you go back through this topic, you’ll see that the majority of us have been making the same comments about Clarke, Gemmill and the SFA for the past couple of years. And they’re not uncommon comments amongst fans of Scottish football. It’s utterly infuriating. It’s a situation that will likely take a vast protest at Hampden led by the Tartan Army before the jobs-for-the-boys cabal are finally ousted.
  19. Gemmill and Clarke only retain their jobs because those who run the SFA are too insular and too stupid to see beyond their own four walls.
  20. It seems an appropriate time to mention the excellent ‘Super Cooper - Davie Cooper Story’ on VHS. I recall it being one my favourite videos to watch as a young ‘Well fan.
  21. Your optimism is admirable.
  22. I hope the young and ambitious Lechia Gdańsk players are ready to have their wings clipped by the bitter old gammon.
  23. Carver saying what he said about Miller makes him nothing less than a total wanker. Regardless of what a young and obviously excited 18 year old said to the media, Carver is more than 3x his age and absolutely should know better than to say what he’s since said about Miller. It was entirely unnecessary and bordering on spiteful.
  24. Throwing away 2 points on Saturday at home against a direct rival has probably costs us our chances of a top six spot. However, the majority of the damage to our chances was done before Wimmer took charge. That said, the next 3 games are going to be exciting.
  25. Slattery was excellent yesterday and is definitely worthy of a new contract. It’s so pleasing to see him come back from his injuries and perform so well. On the other hand, Plange was totally dominated by Gogic and Lacovitti. He offered nothing, unfortunately, and Watt should’ve been on sooner. Special mention to Balcombe for having utterly honking distribution. I expect to see Ox given a chance back between the sticks soon.
