Tom Feely's professional bio needed a wee update An avid Motherwell supporter, Tom is one of the founding board members of the Well Society. The main purpose of the Society is to acquire a controlling share in Motherwell Football Club on behalf of its members and the wider community. As a Director and Secretary, Tom is actively involved in working with the Club SHAFTING THE WELL SOCIETY, fans and local businesses to increase DECREASE membership and generate LOSE income to eventually allow the fans to own their own LOSE THEIR club! https://feelyaccountants.co.uk/meet-the-team/

I’m sorry if some of you feel that way, although note that I’ve not directed my ‘stupid’ or ‘gullible’ etc comments at any individual fan. However, I stand by my view and I will always call a spade a spade when I see one. This is emotive; our Club is at stake yet some people (see social media) either cannot or refuse to see the obvious. They are allowing the well-presented facts of the deal to be obscured by their opinions. We all want what's best for the Club and, to me and many others here, the facts of the deal are not the best for the Club. It's an obscene proposal.
-
And the flip side to this. If Barmack's offer is kicked into touch by the Well Society members, I will double (maybe triple) my monthly direct debit and do what I can to support/encourage the new WS Board to deliver on their plans for the WS and Club.

To address each of your four paragraphs: We'll likely enter administration, again. The land will be sold, as he's a businessman, and then he'll bail out. Then we'll become North Lanarkshire Community FC in the WoSFL at Ravenscraig in the Tony Macaroni mk2. Yep, it's like politics. The average voter is stupid and has the memory of a fish. See point 2 above.
-
Yep. His risk register below is pretty telling on what happens if WS engagement falls. This section reads: we're aware that the local community will stop investing in the WS but we don't give a fuck as we will secure international WS members. That option is about as sustainable as having a wank with sandpaper gloves. His delusion and lack of care for the local community created and curated by the WS are limitless. It's game over as we know it if this goes through. Category Fan Engagement Risks Potential Risks Rapid decline in fan engagement and support Inadequate revenue generation leading to financial instability Mitigation Tactics Regularly gather feedback from The Well Society to understand their needs and preferences. Develop loyalty programs and exclusive content to keep fans engaged and invested in the club. Push subscription efforts for The Well Society outside of Scotland.

The average voter is stupid and easily preyed upon by devious careerists (see Barmack's strategy document). Barmack knows what he is doing here, and the gullible will nuzzle into his hoop. I predict that a lot of us will be cancelling our long-standing Well Society direct debits in 2.5 weeks (because why the fuck should we fund a private investor's plaything), that the Society, therefore, won't be able to meet its investment contributions by year 3 or 4 (what happens then? nobody has adequately answered), that Barmack will have had his fun and achieved his actual goals by year 6 (to profiteer at all costs; he's a businessman with an unhinged ego), and that the Club will be in dire straits when he sells us up the river (there will be no Society to pick up the pieces). Be very afraid, as the long-term future of our Club is close to being put in doubt by a bunch of easily-led turkeys voting for Xmas. I hope I'm wrong, but aspects of the GE results tend to justify my point.

I don't think the Exec Board understand numbers or percentages either.

The Well Society's latest update (from a new website by the looks of things): https://thewellsociety.uk/?mc_cid=08df14fae0&mc_eid=ede5027643

Yep, I was in the same boat. There should also be tickets reserved on the online ticketing portal for your season tickets seats for the two League Cup home games. Like last season on the physical card, I assume, if purchased, that these tickets will also be loaded onto the digital pass.
-
McMahon has shown himself to be a bitter, arrogant, condescending prick through this debacle and will now leave his position with a very stained legacy. What a fucking idiot. It's all been entirely unnecessary and avoidable.
-
I chose the digital season ticket option when I renewed in May, as I couldn't be arsed with the physical card anymore. I just received an email today with links to download the digital pass either via Apple or Google Wallet, so that's my season ticket now safely downloaded and stored in my Apple Wallet. Very straightforward.

A pathetic 'statement' prompted by many fans pointing out the Club's failure to post the Well Society's plan on the Club's socials yesterday. Get it right fucking up McMahon and cronies, and good riddance when it comes.
-
8 new singings, 1 new loanee, and 2 loans to permanent, all before the pre-season games have finished and the League Cup has started. WTF is going on?! Rhetorical question. The transfer window is open for another 2 months, so, as others note, there will likely be some more movements in and out, particularly once we see how the current crop performs during the cup games. I expect Bair and, lesser so this window, Miller to be sold, some young boys (e.g. Ferrie, Wells, Ross) to go out on loan, and 14 wingbacks to come in on loan.

It’s pretty telling that the Club haven’t used their social media channels to promote the Well Society’s plan today. They were happy to push the Barmack offer on their socials. McMahon really is a dictator. However, to give some acknowledgement, the Club have published it on their website, although it’s now buried beneath the new signing news. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/well-society/

Personal highlights, which I read as a fuck you to the Chairman and his cronies, are: A new shareholder agreement, drafted to ensure any ambiguity in the relationship between the majority shareholder and Club is removed. The appointment of new directors to the Club board to faithfully advocate the views of the membership commensurate with our 71.7% shareholding.
-
I've now read these plans twice. The document is realistic and encouraging, and I'm delighted with its quality. The new Well Society Board has got its shit together big time, which is commendable given the aggressive pressure from the conniving Chairman and unfair time constraints. As a member of the Well Society since 2017, I say well done to all involved, and I look forward to these plans coming to fruition. Anyone who still wishes to vote in favour of Barmack's (and the Chairman's) pie-in-the-sky proposal after reading the Well Society's sensible plans for both the Society and Club should seriously reconsider their support of MFC and their grasp on reality.

Obviously. Or Charles Dunne will kill him.

The Well Society newsletter just dropped. The key point is as follows: The Well Society Board remains of the view that members should vote against the proposal. We will be issuing further communications on this next week, including details of drop-in 'surgeries' we are currently planning. Next week, we will also be launching our extensive strategy for the Well Society and Motherwell Football Club, and we look forward to sharing that with you very soon.

He looks set to be a potentially brilliant signing for us. Just look at what West Ham says about him. https://www.whufc.com/news/krisztian-hegyi-signs-contract-extension-and-joins-motherwell-loan

New keeper, Krisztián Hegyi. Let’s hope he's hung(a)ry for crosses. Szia!
-
Has anyone seen the new home kit in the flesh yet? I’m struggling to decide whether it’s a belter or a minger.
-
Signing a player with a known injury. That's classic Motherwell.
