Give it a rest. You’re the one with more interest in what I’ve got to say on here than what I have in Kettlewell.
-
The buck stops with the manager. It’s a team, not individuals. If he has to shout like mad at them during the game, then he’s not preparing them adequately or selecting them appropriately. But, yes, young players can be forgiven in this context, but they’re not all under 18 and/or inexperienced.

Everyone and their dug has some sort of virus at the moment, which I imagine includes football players. Your point on the lack of game intelligence epitomises the Kettlewell approach at times. It’s so infuriating.

Killie were due to replace their plastic shite with grass for the 2025/26 season, but that’s been delayed until the 2026/27 season, meaning another 18 months of shite at Rugby Park.
-
Special mention to Halliday who did well today.
-
Another 3-4-3 (in attack) and 5-4-1 (in defence) masterclass - or whatever it was today - where we have 30-40% possession and win again and keep another clean sheet? Probably not. McInness is much more streetwise than Thelin. He’ll have Killie better prepared to counter our tactics and press. That said, it’ll be interesting to see if Kettlewell reverts to type or not for this match.

Ox was decent today, making at least one goal-stopping save. His distribution and urgency were, however, honking.
-
A thoroughly deserved and much-needed home win today, with a lot to be pleased and pissed off about in equal measure.
-
The defence did well, but it has to be Maswanhise. He is a joy to watch at times.
-
I know, I went to that game, unfortunately. Whatever happens, I can guarantee that it'll be a poor and inconsistent decision that does not consider either set of fans. This is the SPFL and SFA we're talking about here.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow (Lanarkshire) and snow & ice (Aberdeenshire) for tomorrow. The weather will likely directly affect both the game in Motherwell and those travelling south from Aberdeen. My prediction is P-P at the final hour before kickoff.
-
That would require a better manager.
-
You’re welcome. What’s a football forum without hyperbole, eh?!
-
There’s plenty of the season left for him to live up to this accolade. And the only reason I’m maintaining my position on him is because he is so fundamentally incapable of learning from his mistakes or developing his managerial and tactical approach.
-
A donkey of the highest calibre, and unfortunately he’ll be getting yet another transfer window to further bloat the squad with crap.
-
Yes. I’m tired of the same mistakes being repeated over and over again. Kettlewell has a complete inability to learn or progress as a manager.
-
Callan Elliot mk2. Hopefully another nail in the Daws coffin.
-
Another team on a bad run who can’t buy a win. Welcome to Motherwell.
-
Kettlewell is nothing without Miller.
-
Are you all still on the Kettlewell bandwagon, aye?
-
We should be approaching this game in the same way we approached the first half of the rangers game. If so, we should be fine and I would expect a decent win.

An interesting thread on the 2016 Scottish Youth Cup winning team: https://x.com/kaigwatson/status/1874007225674719282?s=46&t=wehikD-exiutCByWu64YEQ

Can anyone tell me what the point of the KMI panel is, other than to continually highlight the incompetence and bias of the officials? The opinion of the panel is not that of the officials anyway, and the SFA (Collum) has final say - in the media - on whether they think the controversial decisions were correct or not. It seems to me that it’s merely a gimmick to allow the SFA to say they’re doing something about the poor officiating by being transparent. Yet we’ve seen that this weekly transparency leads to zero improvements or consequences. Considering the appallingly poor application of VAR in Scotland and the shite officials we consistently produce, the addition of the KMI panel opinion makes everything look like a complete farce. It’s embarrassing. Yeh, they got it wrong, again, sorry lads, but sweep sweep, nothing to see here, unless you’re the rangers or Celtic.
-
I think the answer lies in moving to a back 4 with 1 or 2 defensive pivot-type midfielders sitting in front of them. Perhaps a 4-2-3-1, although I doubt Kettlewell will ever move away from the 3 central defenders approach.
-
The opinion on the KMI panel is not really that of the SFA. It’s a pointless exercise in deflection, although it does further highlight the general incompetence of the officials. We were screwed over again yesterday and not a single thing will be done about it.
