  1. I don't think he’ll be sacked because we can't afford it, but he certainly won't survive in terms of earning himself a new contract with us or another top-flight club. We’re going to limp to the end of the season because that's what the Board and he have set us up to achieve and no more.
  2. The Killie, County, and Morton games over the next week will make or break our season and him. The general feeling from fans is that they're pissed off, according to all the forums. So, if we don't beat the latter two, I think he’ll find it very difficult to come back from that.
  3. As I said above, the outcome of this window was entirely predictable. It's no surprise to me that Kettlewell, who I think should've been sent on his way before January, appears to have presided over another generally poor transfer window.
  4. Square pegs into round holes, but okay. And does the multitude of fullbacks make up for the fact we didn't adequately replace three outgoing strikers?
  5. Your argument would make sense if we signed some experienced central defenders, but the reality is we have the same central defenders and a shitload of fullbacks.
  6. Oh well. At least I'll have a reason to watch some EFL Championship football again.
  7. At the very least, and given three went out the door, I could be forgiven for thinking that we might have signed someone with a bit more experience and profile to support Vale and Bair, but we got nothing.
  8. If we go down, and the current penny-pinching bean counters are still in charge, I am absolutely certain that they’ll reward Kettlewell with a 2-year deal because it'll be the easiest option. History doesn't lie, and fools don't learn from their mistakes.
  9. As I said in my last post, we’re not going to move forward if things don't change. I also don't necessarily think we're moving backwards. Rather, it very much feels like we're fading away. This holding pattern bollocks is killing us.
  10. Given we’ve got a manager who doesn't have a fucking clue how to sign a proper striker, there's a good chance we could be spending the summer preparing for the Championship.
  11. He was brought in by Alexander and he should've been sent packing with Alexander. The best thing they did for us was bring Van Veen to the club. Every disaster they've presided over negates any other decent business they've done since.
  12. Folk will try to dress this window up in many different ways, but I don't see how it can be described as anything other than a predictable failure. I've had it with Kettlewell and Daws. And the Board. We're going nowhere forward with any of them at the helm.
  13. Turnbull signs for Cardiff City for a reported £2 million. What do we get?
  14. Another fullback? Fuck off Kettlewell.
  15. Yep, I and others made this point a long time ago.
  16. Apathy, likely beginning during the Covid season and fully realised through the serial mismanagement we’ve witnessed since.
  17. Poor lad caught a dose of the Obika's. I wish him well in his recovery; he looked promising in the LWB role.
  18. The update is vague in terms of the status of the loan, but I assume this means Monty is now a former player. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2024/02/01/adam-montgomery-injury-update/
  19. There are potentially three more signings today, according to Scott Burns. Striker, left-back, and defender.
  20. The young player has the tools but also has everything to prove during this loan spell, which should hopefully benefit us. I'm trying to be positive about our situation for once.
  21. His record with the U21 squad was pretty good before stepping up to the first team. https://www.transfermarkt.com/jack-vale/profil/spieler/496660
  22. I know, hence why I wrote 'seems unlikely and calls into question the accuracy of every other entry on the list.'
