  1. Butcher’s main position is defensive mid, although, like Paton, he’s also injured.

Do you think St Mirren may have away tickets to sell tomorrow outside the ground immediately before the game?
  3. Obika's injury probably means that we won't see young Ferrie go out on loan now.
  4. If Obika is a permacrock, I wonder how this affects the option of a further year on his current 1-year deal. Note that the MFC webpage (unhelpfully) states the following, with typos: Signing a one-year deal, with the option of the a further year, Obika was the first to take up a contract offer ahead of the new season.
  5. The marketing of Lennon Miller has begun. Thankfully, he's under contract until May 2025. https://www.instagram.com/p/CwAnyzno6tV/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  6. I think that’s why we signed Paton, as I’m sure he can cover several areas of midfield.
  7. If you think that was a foul, go look at what the Man Utd keeper, Andre Onana, got away with doing to the Wolves striker, Sasa Kalajdzic, earlier tonight.
  8. Biereth is an absolute menace and a machine.

For those not on social media, you may be interested to see what the 'official representation' of the Bois have been up to lately. In my opinion (and that of almost every response), they've had an absolute shocker here, made themselves out to be the 'bedroom dwellers' they sought to intimidate and belittle, and have completely embarrassed themselves and our fanbase in general. Not liking a YouTuber is fine, but panting a target on their back like this is a disgrace.
  10. They've made 5 subs and not one of them was Campbell. I hope he gets his chance soon because Luton have been pretty useless today.
  11. Campbell only makes the bench for Luton's Premier League debut.
  12. Although Hibs were pretty decent last night and took their chances well, Luzern could've beaten them by a few if they took their chances and stopped hitting the woodwork. In short, Hibs have a decent attack if they all turn up, but they also have a breakable defence. We should focus on the latter, hitting them early and hard.
  13. Goss to Dundee? Surely not. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/sean-goss-dundee-transfer-target-30667970
  14. I'd hope so. We need dynamic youth in the wing-back positions, which is exactly what Kettlewell built our success on in the second half of last season.
  15. If he doesn't improve, we need to start giving more game time to Wilson given that Souare is only contracted to January. Or hope we unearth another Penney or Furlong.
  16. 2-0 and the Hibs vultures to fully circle Lee Johnson.

  18. Pretty much this. And we must remember that Kettlewell is a relatively inexperienced 1st team manager, and he will likely make most of his significant rookie mistakes at Motherwell now. I must admit, though, offering a 2-year deal to Bair does seem bizarre given his track record at his age and our desire to cut the wage bill and liabilities. As I said, this type of signing could prove to be Kettlewell's first ludicrous mistake, but he's earned the right to have a go with his 'project' for now.
  19. Our squad was bloated due to the two previous management regimes, but that’s no longer the case and the Board has made it clear that Kettlewell will not be given a similar budget to allow that to happen again. However, given who’s gone out, and noting what Kettlewell has said in the media, I'd assume he's got the budget for 2-3 more signings. And it’s worth considering that perhaps some of that budget will be kept aside to rescue him in January if the ‘project’ strikers fail to do the business in the coming months. There is no need to panic or slaughter anyone yet. OUT Max Johnston Kevin van Veen Mikael Mandron Connor Shields Jack Aitchison David Devine Jake Carroll Josh Morris Riku Danzaki Corey O'Donnell Daniel Hunter Kian Speirs Stuart McKinstry James Furlong Ollie Crankshaw Ross Tierney (loan) Robbie Mahon (loan) Sam Campbell (loan) IN Davor Zdravkovski Theo Bair Pape Souare Conor Wilkinson Jon Obika
  20. Of course people are. It's a football forum replete with shite takes and rumours.
  21. It's just a hunch, and it would be naive to suggest that agents aren't crafty when it comes to engineering situations when a player is unhappy. Perhaps a potential suitor is already waiting back home. But as I said, just a hunch.
  22. I've got a feeling that Efford may be working his ticket back to the USA.
