  1. The hubris and sectarian seethe is strong in this type. They walk and work among us, unfortunately.
  2. The Green Brigade and Union Bears are one and the same; scummy wee pricks. You can also add some of the Well Bois to that pot of steaming piss.
  3. I don't see us scoring unless it comes from a midfielder, but I also don't see us conceding in this game. 0-0 or 0-1 (Spittal).
  4. I am absolutely encouraged by and pleased with our progress under Kettlewell and how well we’ve played in midfield and defence in general, but absolutely scunnered by the poor striker recruitment being the dominant factor this season. If Biereth doesn't come good, we’ll likely be in the market for a proven (likely costly) striker in January whilst paying the wages of several duds/crocks. Not an easy task for Kettlewell to remedy this situation.
  5. Biereth aside, our recruitment in the striker department has been appalling. That Bair is our only current option (he's the best of a bad bunch) is not good news for us going forward this season. Kettlewell needs to fix it quickly.
  6. It's that bad we really are now in the position of choosing between being booted in the left or right nut.
  7. Obviously not, I was being facetious. However, a team shouldn't expect to win any games when it doesn't have an effective striker in it.
  8. Bair does fit with his system of setting up to lose three games on the bounce due to signing an ineffective striker. This forum is the cloud for all of us to shout at.
  9. What you mean is that we’ll be alright once we panic sign a striker with an actual goalscoring pedigree in January.
  10. We will rightly lose patience because good performances don't win football matches. We need goals.
  11. Suggesting we have no better players available than Bair is madness. Mugabi would probably be a better option as striker.
  12. That's Kettlewell’s mess to figure out. Even if we didn't have a long injury list, we’d still be relying on known duds and crocks and pinning our hopes on a young loanee. My point is that this isn't a short-term problem to be solved, as we’re visibly hopeless in the striker department until we can do more business in the next window(s).
  13. Continuing to play a solo dud striker will prolong this spell of good performances.
  14. We've lost three league games on the bounce. Which part of that was good?
  15. The supposed good performances seem to have blinkered the masses. Performances don't win games; goals do.
  16. Pinning our hopes on a loanee striker is and always will be ridiculous. As is signing known crocks and duds.
  17. Three gallant defeats in a row seems to be pleasing the happy clappers on this forum.
  18. If only we had signed an actual fucking striker. Fuck sake. FUCK.
  19. We're playing against 12 men again today.
  20. I've previously held my hands up about Paton being a ‘lazy’ signing. He's been very effective since coming into the team.
  21. Yep, we just need to run at/through those defenders and pepper the keeper with shots from everywhere.
  22. Good move. I hope he gets the game time he needs.
  23. I don't think Bair is an 'out and out striker' as you say. He can't be when he doesn't score. I do agree that he is a target man who brings others into play, so fair play to him on that front. Edit: It he scores today, I’ll concede that he’s the greatest striker since KVV.
  24. My point was in reference to the implication that Bair is an ‘out and out striker‘, which he’s clearly not. I don't disagree with the other points.
