  1. It’s called trying to stoke the fire off bullshit on a fans forum on deadline day.
  2. Hammy said: We spoke with the media team this morning and they ran a few names past me that were getting linked with us. Some of the players we hadn't even heard of before. There you have it folks, not even our Head of Recruitment (Nick Daws) is dealing in transfer business for us these days. Why isn't Daws dealing with this via the media team? We truly are an amateur outfit at best. We're also trying to sign Garner for a five figure fee, which means Mandron is broken already. 'Great' scouting or bad luck? Some transfer info here: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-deadline-live-rangers-celtic-29090531
  3. In his last 6 months with us, Watt played 24 games, scored 10 goals, and had 2 assists. He singlehandedly held that Alexander team together, dragging them all up the park with his hold-up play, and then our form got worse when he left. I'd take him back for the rest of the season.
  4. Because Alexander lived in a fantasy land of his own stubborn hubris, which ultimately cost him his job.
  5. My point is more to do with the over-generous extension he was given midway through a season in January 2022 when it was clear for all to see by around November 2021 that he was clueless and that it was Watt who was dragging us across the line for the most part.
  6. Name a worse Motherwell midfield 3 than Goss, Slattery, Spittal. It's obvious we don't have the players for a 433, and I don't think we have the right balance of midfielders for a 352 either. We need to try something different and hope it works, fast.
  7. Yep. The Board let Alexander live out his fantasy and now Hammell has been thrown into a dogfight to try to save us but is armed with a majority of overpaid and underperforming shitebags.
  8. I hold Tony Watt responsible for Alexander getting an unjust contract extension. That is, if it weren't for Watt single-handedly dragging us across the line for the most of the first half of season 2021/2022, then we wouldn't have finished as high as we did given it all turned to shit when he left in January 2022. That and Ricki Lamie's stoppage time equaliser in Livingston that sealed our top 6 spot. Basically, if Watt wasn't good for us and Lamie hadn't scored that goal, Alexander would not have survived the season let alone get the chance to take us into a Euro humping. And with that said, welcome back Tony Watt...
  9. Yep, it feels a bit like Hammy is a dead man walking. It's not nice.
  10. Another midweek disappointment awaits.
  11. Anyone see the toxicity in the stands at the end of the game yesterday? Hammy straight down the tunnel, I think. Sol marching over to applaud the fans and getting absolute pelters, and then a club official marching onto the park to stop the players coming over to do similar. They all deserve the boos due to their meek, pathetic displays. Not one of them is a leader. As someone else wrote on this forum, we need hard bastards, and Hammel/Kerr and those players are not that.
  12. Because Hammy is incapable of learning, unfortunately,
  13. There is a lot of secrecy around long-term injuries or illnesses nowadays, which is perhaps due to agents advising the parent club not to disclose personal info to protect the player/asset they represent. Legal issues, etc.
  14. McGinn will stand in for now, but I reckon we will only be able to get another decent LB loanee in if we put Shields and Morris out on loan or otherwise.
  15. Delighted with the signing of Danzaki. He’s our first Japanese player.
  16. Given we brought in Aston Oxborough on a 2-year deal in Summer 2022 and let Scott Fox leave recently, I would guess we're hoping to sell Liam Kelly soon (contracted to May 2024) and allow Aston to take over as number 1.
  17. If it meant our survival and increased role of the WS, I would be willing to increase my WS direct debit, but on the proviso that the Club presented a new and more realistic vision for its future. I'm not quite sure what that vision would be, however.
  18. And this is why relegation will likely end us as a worthwhile going concern.
  19. And there’s the answer. Thanks.
  20. I don’t think any Well fan would sing the praises of our current midfield, nor do I think other clubs would bite our hand off to sign any of the midfielders. We’re in a strange position, as far as I’m concerned, of not having one standout player. We’re meek and predictable, much like the journeymen who ‘enforce’ the middle of the park for us.
  21. Interesting. Why does that make it more straightforward?
  22. I look forward to the declaration of the signing of Danzaki.
  23. Sounds about right, thanks. I guess their cash will pay for intermediaries to do this abroad before arrival.
