If it weren't for the Joe Bloggs' of the world, we wouldn't all be here on this football fan forum talking shite and trying to out-shite one another.
-
In a perfect world scenario, yes, I would hope so. However, I'm not sure it will work out like that, and the changing of CEO at a crucial stage for the Club may have a part to play in that belief.
-
I honestly don't see that this squad and management has it in them to roll the sleeves up. Hammy is too nice. He comes across as good guy. A bit like Solskjaer being everyone's friend at Man Utd and failing until Ten Hag came in and showed his ruthlessness to fix things. The squad is clearly full of too many wimps who shirk out of every 50/50. We have no enforcer/captain on the pitch either. We're soft as shite, and Arbroath will know this.
-
For me there is another concern. That is, if we beat Arbroath and he drags us over the line to maintain our Premiership status, his soft demeanour and continual rookie mistakes don't exactly inspire me with confidence for the longer term. I don't want him sacked, but I fear accepting the cheap and untested option has destined us to a future of fighting for our Premiership lives every season until the inevitable.

The team underperforming and continually making basic errors that lead to us losing/drawing games is nothing to do with the crowd being supportive or exasperated. The players simply aren't good enough and the manager refuses to drop those who make those continual errors. It's that simple. At the final whistle yesterday there was only a complete silence. No boos, no applause, just a vacuum. It spoke volumes to me. The fans have lost the will to even show emotion, and that is purely caused by having to watch the same shite make the same shite mistakes every week for months. We have only won 1 game at home all season, and the crowd has been big and buoyant for the most part, even in horrendous wintery conditions.
-
Lamie is just as crap. Both need dropped.
-
And the second fatal mistake was extending his contract against all common sense.
-
This squad is devoid of fight and talent. We will lose.
-
Blaney (left-sided) and McGinn (right-sided) should be given the nod as the back 2 next game. The worst that happens is we lose again.
-
Hammy likes to talk about ownership and the individual errors that cost us games. Perhaps he should take some ownership and drop the likes of Sol and Lamie who cost us goals nearly every game. We can't continue with this cycle of rinse and repeat; it's madness.
-
I hear what you're saying, but Hammy's loyalty to the likes of Lamie and Sol will see us continue to concede cheap goals. I reckon the kitman and physio would make a more reliable defensive partnership than those two donkeys.
-
Although Blaney couldn't be registered as our player until 1st January, I understand that he's been with us training since early December. Therefore, we must ask serious questions as to why he isn't playing? If he isn't good enough to start, then why sign him? Or is Hammy that stupidly loyal to Lamie and Sol? Something doesn't add up here.
-
That was user dogshit, but that was expected. The complete silence (no boos/applause) at the final whistle speaks volumes. Hammy clearly doesn't have a clue. He cannot persist with the likes of Sol and Lamie, as they cost us a goal or two every game, and expect to get away with only attacking changes. They are useless, and Hammy's loyalty to those types of player will see us lose more than we win and eventually relegated. The less said about shitebags Spittal and Goss, who couldn't tackle a sandwich, the better. Blaney must get a start next week and we need to sign another CB who is a leader immediately.
-
It's only a myth because you refuse to accept any other viewpoint than your own.

What I suggested above wasn't a 'mutual offload', it was a manager freezing a player out in the hope that the player then sought to leave. That scenario is not beyond the realms of possibility.
-
I had forgotten about Morris; he's another failed Alexander experiment. I wonder if managers still freeze out players, making them feel compelled to ask their agent for a move?!
-
As this topic is 'ins and outs', the chat has focused on the 'ins.' On the flipside, however, who would we like to ses on the 'outs' lists?
-
Agreed. Appointing a manager like Alexander has been more disaster than success. He is not greater than the Club, yet he was allowed to take it off on a tangent with his own philosophy and staff. Look how that worked out and the subsequent repercussions. It'll take the Club years to recover from this mistake.
-
Daws was brought in to support Alexander's philosophy, so he should now be moved on as well. As others have stated, we need a new Head of Recruitment who supports the Club's philosophy, which every manager should align with, including Hammell. It should not be the other way around.
-
What does a Head of Recruitment do? Here's an example: https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9432133/what-does-a-head-of-recruitment-do
-
If true, then good. The Club will be in a much better place once it rids itself of Alexander's legacy (staff and players). A hard reset is required.

A very good question.
