Might be in the minority but if we have the above mentioned players back the team I'd pick until we are safe is : Oxborough Casey Gordon Seddon Sparrow Miller Paton Thompson Slattery Watt Maswanhise Watt, Paton, Seddon. Thompson, Casey all playing for contracts with the others all contracted for next season should at least mean we have a motivated team to the end of the season. If Stam comes back throw him in for Watt aswell. If we are safe with games to go get any youth players he thinks are decent into the team and have a look at them.

If I was to guess our results right now I'd go St J (H) - D Dundee (A) - D Hearts (A) - L Killie (H) - W Ross C (A) - L

Should we not get 3 home games as we've only had 16 home games so far this season? Also regarding relegation talk we need to win probably 2 out of 5 to come 7/8th and win 1 to avoid the play off. If anyone in the bottom 6 wins 5/5 of their games I'd be surprised,

As much as I would like to rip up the majority of the squad as well I feel we need some level of stability. I wouldn't mind Wilson being loaned out as i feel he's stagnated in his development. Balmer, Paton and Robinson I wouldn't be against moving on either but I feel trying to bring in 15/16 players in 1 window would be a big ask and those 3 are fine as squad players. But theoretically all those moving on leaves you with a squad of 6 players.

As i Said previously only player OOC i'd look to retain is Paton. Of the loanees if we can get Andrews back for another season I wouldn't be against it rest can all go. Of the contracted players I'd be looking to shift Nicholson, SOD, Stuperavic and Koutrombis and Miller will be sold. Base of Squad by positon would then look like GK- Ox Cbs- Gordon, Balmer Wbs- Sparrow, Wilson Cms- Slattery, Paton Fwds- Stam, Maswanhise, Robinson That gives Wimmer a decent base of a squad and plenty of space to bring in his own players in each position.
-
Not for me SOD needs dropped. Wilson has been poor since november. Davor hasn't played in months not convinced this is the game you throw him into. Ox should be in goal but he'll probably pick Balcombe. Team will should be for me: Ox Kaleta Balmer Casey Sparrow Miller Halliday Thompson Slattery Maswanhise Armstrong If Gordon is back I'd have him in over Kaleta and move Balmer to Rcb

He's surely been signed as a Cb considering that's where hes mainly played last few seasons
-
There were a couple atricles in newspapers and BBC have one confirming it so I'd assume so
-
hopefully that is the case our defence has needed revamped for a couple of seasons now. 3 Clean Sheets last season and 4 this season is absolutely tragic numbers
-
I'm quite looking forward to getting Jordan Mcghee in whenever he's played against us i've always thought he looked decent on the ball and he's got a knack for getting a couple of goals while being relativley solid defensivley
-
I don't see why anyone would think Wimmer is going anywhere. I don't see us getting relegated either we'll finish 8/9th win probably 3 out of the last 6 like we do most seasons and wait and see what next season brings. The recruitment next season has to be much better than it was this season, we have probably 6/7 players who haven't played 5 games. For a squad of 33 it's been built horrendously injuries aside.

Wimmer's always played a 3 back

Of the OOC players I'd probably only be looking to extend Paton and maybe Seddon. You can find a younger version of Halliday quite easily and Dan Casey needs to be let go makes too many mistakes for me. Of the under contract players. Miller will be sold. I'd be looking to move on Koutrombis, Stuperavic, Nicholson and SOD but that's probably wishful thinking. Defence has needed an overhaul for 2 seasons. Gordon is the sort of player you want in the middle of the 3 just need to find the right outside Cbs. Balmer fine as a squad player. Keeper is sorted with Oxborough just need to bring in competition/a No2 Gk. Midfield needs an overhaul. Miller will be gone. Slattery and Paton both good options to have in there, but need reinforcements. We need new WB'S. Sparrow has been decent at RWB so far but not convinced on him there long-term. Wilson has fell of a cliff since the start of the season maybe needs a loan. We need to bring in attackers that suit the system. Stam, Maswanhise and even Robinson are good options to have and build around.

I can't understand how you can play a 343 with no pace in the team
-
Think this is what I'd go with V Aberdeen Give Gordon/Halliday the armband Ox Balmer Gordon Casey Kaleta Miller Halliday Thompson Slattery Maswanhise Armstrong
-
This is the issue tho I'd say about 40% of the goals we've conceded this season can be traced back to SOD or Casey making mistakes before them. The amount of times I've watched the 2 of them get caught under the ball is concerning.
-
I don't think he's as bad as Mcginley was either I was just likening my reaction to the extension to the way I felt about Mcginley's. Certainly his first 2 seasons with us he was great I just feel he has massive dips in form each year and we can't afford to have players like that in CB and I don't think he has the engine on him to be playing RWB either. I also suspect he'd be one of our top earners considering his International experiences so would be looking to move him on.
-
Extending SOD feels like when we extended Nathan Mcginley all over again. Slattery's looked good in recent weeks so being able to keep hold of him should soften the blow of when Lennon leaves a bit. Squad under contract for next season currently is Oxborough SOD, Koutrombis, Gordon, Balmer, Wilson Miller, Slattery, Nicholson, Sparrow Stam, Robinson, Maswanhise With Jordan Mcghee agreeing to join on a pre-contract apparently And Stuparevic and Wells returning from loans So 16 under contract for next season would be looking to move 2/3 on
-
This has to be our last season of SOD don't think i've ever seen a CB give the ball away so much. Few others were poor aswell. Thought Slattery and Gordon played well that's proably about it.
-
Got to wonder why we didn't see more of Andrews when he first came in the boy absolutley strolled it yesterday.
-
We're poor due to our lack of control in games imo. We struggle to get hold of the ball and build pressure on our opponents goal. I think personally Davor offers a bit more off the ball to go and press teams. Would be 1 of the 1st you take off but he'll go and run himself into the ground and can recycle the ball well enough to let us get a bit more possesion in games. His issue his he sturggles to break lines with his passes but that's true for basically all of our midfield bar Miller and Slattery.
-
I'm not his biggest fan either but I think he's a bit better than Halliday. Slattery I quite like as well but I don't think he's ready to start. Also under Kettlewell we treated the ball like a grenade I think any small midfield player would struggle to get themselves into games
-
That's harsh he's not great but he's fine at recycling the ball and got a decent bit of energy to close players down,
