Hamilton Accies V Motherwell 24/04/15
PennsylvaniaDosser replied to ONeils40yarder's topic in Club Chat
Needed Erwin to bury that shot. A little life showing at least. -
5-0!!!! Some top drawer stuff on display tonight!
-
4-0! Excellent goal by Sutton from Johnson's delivery.
-
3-0. McDonald just before the halftime. Pour it on them, boys!
-
Two great chances off of consecutive corners. Should have been 2-0.
-
Great start! Erwin with a goal!
-
Impressive performance. Wing play looked good. Finally a clean sheet kept. 3 vital points gained. Need a little help from St. Johnstone and Kilmarnock this weekend.
-
5 more minutes left. Still time to shave another goal off of the differential.
-
3-0. Ainsworth to Sutton for the goal. What a half for scoring! And a Sutton PK makes it 4.
-
Red card for Lyon. Time to see the game out against a 10-man Hamilton.
-
And for the double! 2-0!
-
A screamer from Ainsworth! 1-0!
-
Good thing Law isn't accurate shooting at goal. Near disaster on the "clearance".

Good, sensible plan by the club. You can find similar ticket packages or voucher systems for baseball here in the States. Very typical to see 10-game or 20-game plans offered by both major league and minor league franchises. (Note that they play 70 home games in the minors, 81 in the majors.) Minor league teams tend to be even more creative, offering Friday-Saturday-Sunday game only ticket packages or packages for only games against affiliates of particular major league teams. The plan should pull income into the team that likely wouldn't be there if fans were only going to pay at the gate, since they've already laid out the money for the vouchers. It may also prove to be a more popular option than half-season tickets; perhaps the success/failure of this plan will help determine whether the club offers half-season tickets for the 2015/16 season. One potential tweak to the plan would be to discount the cost-per-game (cpg) of the flexi-tickets at a lower rate than full-season tickets. That is usually the case in the baseball ticket plans here (full-season ticket cpg

Selling Hutchinson would appear to be highly likely now, since the early Scottish Cup exit means loss of that source of income. Who else on the roster might become likely assets to sell? Changes to the roster during the January transfer window would seem to be a major task for the management this year.

An interesting stadium. That concrete should help resonate the crowd sound. Wonder how loud it is inside there. Another article on the stadium is here: http://www.insidespa...ron-pontevedra/ Cost 18 million Euros to build.

The use of white just doesn't seem to fit with the overall concept. Between the shirt and the socks, there seems to be a near balancing of the claret and amber colors. The white shorts bung that up; they clash with the claret and amber hooped socks, while the white in the collar inset is unnecessary. Replace the white shorts with claret shorts and remove the white from the collar inset, and the kit would better. Basically, just modify UBH's mockup by adding the claret sleeves: http://www.steelmeno...ndpost&p=380303

I agree with the above sentiment concerning a professional foul red card, assuming no intent to injure. But the last thought got me thinking. There seems to be a sort of philosophical question at play: Does being sent off negate everything the player did prior to being sent off? The question could be phrased mathematically: (Player's Performance + Game Situation) > (Being Sent Off + Game Situation)? If Yes, applause is warranted. If No, then no applause should be given. Three examples. In each one, the player is sent off in the 70th minute for a second yellow card. Prior to the sending off, (1) Player A has scored two goals. Team is leading 2-0 at the time of sending off. (2) Player B has been at fault for poor man-marking, leading to a goal conceded, as well as conceding a free kick from which the opposition scored. Team is trailing 0-2 at the time of sending off. (3) Player C has assisted on a goal and been at fault for conceding a goal. Game is tied 1-1 at time of sending off. Player A should be applauded, even though being sent off leads to a more difficult final 20 minutes for the team. Player B will be mercilessly booed off the pitch due to his performance being a complete disaster compounded by the sending off. Player C's situation is where debate will come in concerning the formula, since the formula calls for subjective judgment: for some it may be enough to applaud; for others it may not be. The formula works even in the case of a professional foul red card; that player's performance could be greater than the being sent off. If it ends up saving a goal in a close or tied game, then it leads to points for the team. That should be applauded.

Managers are always saying that it takes playing a "perfect game" to win or even draw against either of the Old Firm teams, especially in Glasgow. Who thought that the imperfection would be missing a penalty kick? Undone by that twice in recent years: home against Rangers; away at Celtic.

Party Time - Champion League Well V Dundee Utd
PennsylvaniaDosser replied to Welldaft Mk1's topic in Club Chat
Just find an instrumental copy of Handel's "Zadok the Priest" and play the first part. Will practically sound the same as the Champions League theme over the tannoy system. Can always pass it off as "simply enjoying Baroque music on a May weekend at Fir Park". -
As of March 3, 2012: Home Record: 24 pts = 7 W, 3D, 4L (20 GF, 16 GA) Away Record: 27 pts = 8 W, 3D, 4L (20 GF, 17 GA) Nearly identical, positive records for both home and away is top-of-the table stuff. A little fortunate to have so many wins with a minimal goal differential. But definitely earned 3rd spot in the table so far.

Love the manager's little dig at Aberdeen's lack of offensive efforts at Fir Park at the end. Call 'em as you see 'em, Stuart McCall!

GOAL......Lasley! Who had this combo of scorers?

GOAL......Murphy!
