Bevis Mugabi was with us for 5 seasons and people were still calling him 'Mugabe'
-
Still can't say I'm particularly convinced by our midfield but the amount of bodies we have suggests we're done with it. A young right wing back with some pace and a decent delivery would be nice as well. Overall we're looking quite good though.

Nah mate. It's all #vibes

Queen's Park are keeping the same home kit as what they used last season.
-
So what you're saying is that you're ITK 🤣. Think that's a sensible decision, hopefully he'll be the one to finally end the captaincy curse that's happened recently.

Who to? Have I missed something?

A whole lot of Erik Barmack's strategy is relying on 'trust me bro' and hoping people will fall for it. If I was to guess, unless something changes in the next few days this proposal will pass.

Devine looked totally out of his depth. IIRC it was at Dens Park when Devine was abysmal in the first half and got subbed at half time, SOD came on and was considerably better. FWIW I'm not particularly a fan of SOD, some of the things said in previous pages are true but I get the feeling that this season will see move to centre half for him where he looked decent when he filled played there in December - January. I'm okay with him signing a contract, I'd probably have preferred it was just for 1 year rather than the 2 but we'll no doubt do worse businesses this summer.

Quite possibly the most sensible thing I've ever read on here.

St Mirren in the league cup for 50 odd minutes in the 3-5-2. After that they did 6 games together in the current system of 4 midfielders.
-
Don't think anyone could ever doubt his talent, my problem with him is that he blows hot and cold too much. When he's on his game he can be unplayable, when not he's as good as a man down.
-
Honestly thought Slattery would be away. Offering him a contract is probably the 'right thing to do' with him recovering from injury. Has he actually earned a new contract? I'm not sure to be honest, he's undoubtedly a talented player but he goes through lengthy spells of being anonymous or underwhelming.

The season finished 11 days ago FFS, it's still May... There is absolutely no need to get worked up about it, our first signing last season came in late June and that was a guy we had at the club the season prior

It's on Premier Sports YouTube and the SPFL's YouTube channel. Says it'll start at 1pm but these things never run on time.

If you look at our squad, we desperately need to sign a goalkeeper, a centre half and a few wingbacks. We've only got 2 senior strikers at the club, one of which hasn't played a combined 90 minutes in his time at the club. If we get Nicholson and Slattery signed up we shouldn't be too far away from having a good enough midfield (that is, of course, a big if) I stand by my original point that out of the issues we have with our current squad the midfield is probably the least urgent of them.
-
No chance, not a premiership player. He looked decent enough for Raith in the championship and should be left in the championship. 30 years old, never been good enough for the premiership, never will be good enough for it Besides the point but midfield is probably the position we least need to add to at the moment.

It says, Raith, Dunfermline, Partick Thistle, Livi and Larne are all interested. 12ft.io is always good to get by paywalls

Tom Hateley has announced his retirement from football.

Is it not possible that he was looking at a County player in the hope they go down and we could pick them up on the cheep? Just a thought.

We have had to cut down the squad and haven't had the biggest budget but being dumped out both cups early and 9th in the league is underwhelming for me.

Get this talk fired straight into the bin. This is a forum about Motherwell, not on children being sexually abused at another club decades ago.

Paul Hanlon has been terrible for years, we'd be mental to offer him a contract, Byrne we've been linked to in the past haven't we? He's a good player at championship but as Dundee have found out, not good enough for the Premiership.
