Oooft just seen McGinn is out, good news for Balmer/Casey fans. Means Johnny K will get put up the pecking order as well.
-
that's ma boy
-
Should also add, I think that was Moses' best game for us despite not scoring.
-
Imagine how good we'd be if we started the first half of games the way we started the second half yesterday. I get why we play the way we do by setting up not to lose and then take the shackles off later in the game, and it is effective clearly, but my god it can be frustrating sometimes
-
Has to be Ox again, feel like he gets MOTM every week. Amazing the difference a competent goalie makes. Watt would be my second choice, thought he made a big difference when he came on.
-
Took me an hour but got there in the end
-
Any idea how to buy tickets for this? I have an online account with Hibs as I've been before, but cannot see how to get a ticket in the away end

And on the flip side, Nathan McGinley is evidence you can have a ok career whilst being absolutely shite

Loaned to Morton, happy with that as hopefully it helps him get up to speed

Aye to give Hegyi a shot. Maybe too much of a "big game" to drop yer first choice goalie though so won't complain either way. Again not bothered if it's Davor or Halliday starting, just not both at the same time. McGinn probably won't be dropped, which is fine, but if that's the case then Kaleta should be in over SOD. -

Can't make it to this one as I am off to a wedding in East Lothian. Would love to see us have a go from the start and not in the last 10 mins of the 2nd half. A lot of questions over who starts etc but can't see Kettlewell tinkering much, if at all. Personally I'd go for the below. Hopefully ApStam makes the bench Hegyi SOD Balmer Gordon Casey Wilson Halliday Miller Sparrow (or Jair or Tawanda) Vale Moses -
It's not that bad. It's a rolling contract, so there's always gonnae be 12 months added on. Protects us financially if another club poaches Ketts and if we do pull the trigger on him at any point, the outlay won't hit the club as hard as when GA was sacked
-
I said before I was against bringing Vale back, still am. I can't see how or where he fits in to this team, especially once we start getting players back fit and other than bringing maximum effort to the table, I don't see what he's adding either.

Agree 100% with Robinson, there's definitely a player in there but he's isolated against 3 big bastard centre halves in most games. Just need him to start shooting when he's in the box. I was slating Sparrow for his invisible man act but then he popped up with a goal so that's me telt - no more slagging anyone off unless they drop an all time stinker 😂
-
Thought everyone, except Robinson, was excellent today. SOD and Wilson stand outs. Tawanda great first half, 2nd I forgot he was playing.

From the Record: But Kouassi, who is in rehabilitation from an operation at the start of the summer, is under contract at the Tangerines until June 2026, with the option of a further year on top of that, so any move to Motherwell is likely to be temporary. The only thing that makes sense about Ketts going in for yet another striker is that he has his fetish for injured players
-
I posted this on P&B, this isn't how I would pick the team but I'm trying to go with SK's thinking for the XI. Bench could be anyone: Oxborough SOD, McGinn, Gordon, Casey, Seddon Miller, Zdravkovski, Slattery Stamatelopoulos, Watt Bench: Hegyi, Kaleta, Balmer, Wilson, Paton, Halliday, Stuparevic, Moses, Robinson? This would leave out: Blaney, Koutroumbis, Callachan, Sparrow, Nicholson & Maswanhise. Loans out: Ferrie, L Ross, M Ross, Wells, McDermott. Would probably need to loan out a couple of senior players too.

Callum Paterson (formerly of Hearts) has been told to find a new club by Sheffield Weds. Can play literally anywhere and is a big boy. Would yous take him?

L CUP Motherwell v Kilmarnock 18/08/2024

1-0 Tony Watt with a kissing the badge celebration 🤣 -
What a dull game, I hate being bored at the football. I backed Ketts all last season but i've got the knives out for him already. Playing for 90 mins to try not to lose and hope we get a flukey goal is no good, only to then show a bit of urgency in injury time. When Blaney came off it was a perfect opportunity to change the shape but nah, lets bring on well known goal threat and creator Paul McGinn. Oh yeah, and also take off a striker for a midfielder. His tactics are baffling at times. Ox was decent enough, did everything asked of him, only real criticism is he's a bit slow distributing the ball. Wilson had his best game so far once he finally got going midway through the first half. It's s shame we were so pish today, good weather and a decent enough crowd yet there's no chance we will get so many through the gates again after being subjected to that nonsense.

Wilson or Oxborough today

3yr deal is great for us if he's a roaring success. If he is Connor Shields v2 then we're humped haha. You'd hope with Ketts media comments the other day that the reported fee is incorrect, then we should have plenty of the Bair money left to pay real money for a decent 10.
