Hardly surprising - Scott McDonald turns up and Reynolds makes himself disappear.

We've got quite a good record on Setanta Sports 2 though!
-
It'll be dismal anyway. I take it the Moffat is the one that faces us - if it is thats not allowed unless they can argue its not the same view.

No but there is a requirement to play top flight football in Scotland to have all seated stadia. Changing the law of the land may not be necessary however you will have to change the rules of the SPL.

thought he made the most of it at the time, just watched the Alba rerun - stonewall in my book. Spawny or not don't give a hoot.

Was the most open game I've seen in ages. THe defending wasn't great at times but the wind was making it really tough - can only assume that is how our second goal came about. Sheidan and Sutton should both have scored their one on ones and taht would have made us more comfortable but the result is what mattered today and we did enough to grind it out.

THrow in the league cup game with Accies and that average would rocket!

This rivetting document confirms Quinn is available tomorrow http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/docu...0Mar%202009.pdf

Politics - interesting stuff. On the Martin Rose question, my feeling is that does he feel he can represent both? If he does then great no need to resign. Do the Trust feel he can represent both? If they do great they'll reappoint. The problem is if that is what the Trust believe they need to convey that to the supporters and get them to also think that as those who see that as an obstacle to joining won't join otherwise. If that message can't be conveyed they need to think about removing him as he could appear to be holding the Trust back. Harsh reality of life unfortunately.

Can understand why they've picked it - they'll see it as being a two way fight between us and Hibs to make it and hence want to show the game when we do or don't.

As an aside how in the name of the wee man have Killie got twenty more yellow cards than anyone else? They don't strike me as being any dirtier than Hearts, Falkirk and Accies!

Whoever is 6th at the split will have a chance of chasing down the other three. We need to make sure it is us. But if we don't come 6th then the season ends. I think third is away - Hearts I doubt will drop enough points to allow us to claw back 12. 4th is very possible.

Need to remember that footballers are not placed in front of interviewer or press conference and told to open their mouth and let their belly rumble. They are asked questions and from them come answers which they mold into a story. Nothing in that article in derogatory or untrue. Its all opinion (caveated with the word maybe) and geared at firing our team up to chase them down. And the reason Hearts are third is that they have this ability to defend which we seem to find so difficult. Hearts would not have lost the goals we lost the other night. Maybe very occasionally but we have done it consistently through the season. Hearts may not be the most exciting team but they are well organised, hard to break down and score against and for that alone well worthy of third place in my opinion.

Without meaning to be pedantic it was still dangerous play whether he meant it or not.

Thought we deserved more last night. First half Hearts were the better team though we had the shot off the bar and a decent pen shout. Hard to tell from the other end of the ground and seeing as the ref (from this point on to be known as Portly!) wasn't much closer and didn't have the altitude we had he wouldn't have had a friggin clue. We then had to hold on for half time. Second half after losing the goal we were miles on top. The goal was thoroughly deserved and at 1-1 there was only team who looked liked winning. Really poor goal to lose at the death and especially annoying that the guy who tried to block the shot and did the right thing ended up beating Smith. I thought we played much better tonight than a lot of the games we didn't lose which makes it a right kick in the chookies to lose like that. Portly and his assistant nearest us had an interesting interpretation of advantage and handball. And it was nice of him to book Klimpl on the popular cheer from the Hearts fans (Wallace should never have been booked either!). Just a trio of incompetents I'm afraid. Disappointing result but I always felt that was the game we could afford to lose for getting into the top four/five as the teams I think we can catch are United and Aberdeen.

Edinburgh is a pisser to drive through at the end of rush hour (I speak from a nightly experience). Aim to be at Hermiston Gait an hour before k/o I'd say as if you are unlucky it could take you that long. You might be lucky and the traffic has gone - seems to be a bit random as some days its no bad other days rank rotten.

United and Aberdeen need to be our targets - they are the games we must win. WOuld love to get something of each of the other two but I don't see that as imperative.
-
I think he'll bring MF to the left, move DC up front with JS making way. Played a 4-4-2 on Sat with DC on the left wing. DC doesn't work there, play him up front or not at all.

Hearts are the hardest team to beat of the four, no question. Us being away I really cannot see us getting anything there though they don't score many and we haven't lost two in a game since December! Still think they'll just have too much for us. However United, Killie and Aberdeen are all toiling a bit. We win the two home games and get a draw at Killie we are right in the mix. I'm thinking Hearts are away from the rest anyway so to me Wednesday is the least important game in the run. Though if we take something then I'll be disappointed with a loss until we go to Ibrox.

Sutton and Sheridan were our best players in my view but the midfield didn't get them in often enough. Both won a lot in the air and it could be either, going for Sheridan on the basis his finish was slightly harder to execute.

Few observations from that game - we played some good stuff in the first half and they effectivey broke it down while they were a bit more direct. We then tried a hoof and got a goal. They equalised from a corner, we should have done better but to be fair its been a while since we lost one of them. Second half they started better but we scored an excellent goal, aided by their defender. After that they had us pressed back but they just could not get that goal. They had a couple of pen claims, sure McCurry was right with the first one, second one not a clue. Think we were perhaps aided by the unwritten rule of 'I'm no changing the outcome of the game in the 90th minute unless he kills him or picks the ball up'. We defended well on the whole (though it did take Reynolds a whole eight seconds to kick the ball out of the pitch under no pressure - that sort of thing will stop him reaching his full potential though thats for another day). Was pleased for McLean he had a steady game as I would imagine it was a bit earlier than McGhee would have liked to have thrown him in. I think he will really struggle v Driver though. Sheridan is top notch. Never loses a ball and his finish was superb. On Clarkson - I understand and accept that McGhee maybe decided that Sheridan and Sutton were the two strikers he wanted yesterday because their defence is big. It worked and they both played well. If he decides that and decides to go 4-4-2 thats fine but you don't have to fit Clarkson into the midfield. I like Clarkson but a winger he is not and never will be and he was a waste of a jersey yesterday. And someone else said it further up, McCurry had a good game again. I know he is a cock of a man and had a horror show in that Rangers v United game but he is the best referee we have - always tries to let the game flow and you can see the players respect him.

I would imagine that Hearts had started selling corporate packages with no caveat of a date change before we were out of the cup.

Surprised anyone can mind us getting a penalty against Rangers
