Don't think so - understand that Partick and Killie had to go dry when they went up in the cup in recent weeks. Seems to be new policy. Probably due to everyone arriving there totally jaiked!
  2. Sadly can't make it but sounds like a laugh. And Frazzle they'd all forgot about CC Blooms! Eejit.

I didn't think Reynolds did that well v McDonald to be honest. Fitzpatrick in the first thirty minutes was outstanding and it was no coincidence our weakest spells of the match both occurred when he was off the pitch. However over the whole 90 minutes I thought Hughes and O'Brien were our top performers - tough to pick one of them out but seeing as everyone else is going for O'Brien I'll gove mine to Hughes.
  4. They should be held in after the game no question. Its common sense that when tensions are high and they are when we meet that any potential flashpoints should be minimised. That said it doesn't condone bad/thuggish behaviour from fans on either side and its quite sad that two sets of fans can't mingle. I ended up walking out of Easter Road with a Hibs fan who I didn't know from Adam a few weeks ago and we had a great chat about the game - the way it should be. Christ in rugby they don't even need segregation. Sometimes football makes you sick.

The Craigan/Vennegoor one was an absolute shocker but on the whole he was fine, don't get me wrong I shouted and balled at him at the time but no real complaints.
  6. Thats actually a very interesting point. We seem to have been getting deeper in the last few weeks and I think it is Klimpl that influences that because we have the ball winner further back. Also the strikers are coming back more at set plays and to be fair we are losing a lot less silly goals from them. We haven't lost two in a game this year which considering the goals we were losing in November and December is unbelievable. I think McGhee has done a remarkbale job there over the last few weeks and I think the defensive players have more confidence due to the team being deeper - the pace of O'Brien means we can do that and not lose an attacking outlet either.
  7. £700 I think. It was the one item I thought they might have got more from. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Been a good weekend.
  8. Don't know why you're laughing at that. Its exactly how I saw it. We played well from back to middle but as with every other friggin game we don't create enough chances but at least today we took the one we did create.
  9. The season certainly isn't over if the bold happens! After the cup loss in the Malpas season we capitulated. Need to make sure that doesn't happen again!

Heard his phone in for the first time on Friday night as I happened to drive my mum's car and she listens to Real - it lasted about two minutes. He is an obnoxious pain in the shuch. He had Alan Rough (I think) with him and every time he tried to speak he spoke over him. I think ignore is the wrong option, avoid is much better.
  11. THeir results have been patchy at best especially away. Its important we keep them out for the first thirty mins or so - do that I think we can snatch something, lose an early one I think they'll win 2 or 3 nil. However my prediction is going to be 1-1 with a late Motherwell leveller.
  12. On the relegation issue, as I was reminded last night, we were only ahead of two teams in the Malpas year. This time we are ahead of five. I don't see us, no matter how poor a run we go on, being overtaken by all of them. Problem for me is we are not scoring enough. THe unbeaten run were all 1-0, 1-1, 0-0 games except United away, Inverurie away and Inverness at home. The positive from that is we are defending effectively. The problem is we are not scoring enough at the other end. Our lack of a final ball will be the undoing of us. I think we Hibs and us will scrap it out for sixth. If we make it, as Aberdeen showed last season, even if you are a wee bit back you can still be in the Euro race. They were one result away. So not over yet.
  13. Remember Yogi doing his nut about that at the start of the season, Brines came on to referee the end of the United v Celtic game after Richmond (I think) got hurt and then refereed Celtic v Falkirk the next week. Also we've got Thomson tonight and he is fourth official on Sunday? If he gives them a dodgy pen in the last minute tonight I think he could have a sore lug come Sunday.
  14. Not read it as I didn't buy a programme but the stick Fitz got last week was outrageous so he was perfectly entitled to have a go.
  15. Astonished its that recent! Must be a long long time since we went nine unbeaten. Though I suppose that run was at least eight as I would count Forfar as a draw. Anyway we must make it ten and ten without a penalty defeat in it!
  16. The goalie. Without him the game would have been dead before we started. On Sheridan - I thought he played very well, lacked a bit of sharpness in finishing but had I not gone for Smith he;d have been close.
  17. If Hearts have sold corporate for the game and companies then decide to bodyswerve because its a Sunday it costs them a fortune. Tough one as the games are too close but St Mirren didn't know until Wednesday it was happening so they did not have a large enough window to arrange the change. I see arguments on both side. As for Tuesday/Thursday - Thursday suits me better as I was having to miss something else on Tuesday. To be honest I have limited sympathy for folks who arranged to be available on the Tuesday because the replay Sky show is always on the Thursday and we are the only replay - it doesn't take a genius to work out there is a chance we'll be it.
  18. I think if we avoid the OF we have a chance regardless. However we have a tough tough game to even get to this next one. I would be astonished if Accies, ICT and Falkirk are on as good a run as they are just now come 7th March but they would probably say the same about us. I want a chance and if we come out with that then I'll be satisfied.
  19. As I said further up the Accies pitch is in bad nick as well, thats a brand new pitch with brand new USH. Suggests its not as easy as some folk on here make out. End of the day we want the best pitch so that we can play better football and after the promises made last season feel a bit let down but anyone who suggests starting from scratch will end all our problems I feel could be deluded.
  20. Mitch is spot on, Andy P is spot on and I would much rather they'd shown Hamilton v United because it looked like the best game. But commercially it would have made no sense.
  21. Was thinking more for scheduling in amongst the commitments they already have putting two midweek Scottish cup ties would be too much. They never did one last year when they had the rearranged Clyde v Dundee Utd one to squeeze in.
  22. I could almost live with the abuse if he was a haddie but he isn't. Have already had my rant in the match thread about the treatment he got yesterday which was out of order. Hopefully Hughes will shame some of them/you into shutting up.
  23. I think the postponement of the Rangers game means Sky's likely involvement in our replay will be significantly reduced.
  24. Probably because they don't have anywhere to transport their z list celeb drawers to and taking them to Forfar would be slightly futile.
