We shouldve had it comfortably tucked away by half time though to be honest. Pleased to see Humphrey get his goal, it looked well taken (albeit from the other end ) and he had a reasonable game IMO. Everybody seemed to fade out of the game in the 2nd half but good to get the 3 points. Can't complain going into the international break in 3rd place

Everythings probably been covered but why the fuck was Hateley at left back? Just seemed mental to me when we had players out there who could easily have been arranged into some form of proper back 4. Why not move Reynolds out left, Saunders into the centre and put Hateley at RB? At least then they would all be on their right side Only saying as I thought Hateley was clearly the weak link today in that position and I'm surprised Aberdeen didnt put more pressure on him.

No, it wasn't aimed at anybody in particular, just generally asking. It does my tits in a fair bit when folk tell us to give (particularly) a striker "a chance" just because he isnt bursting the net every week, and tell us he'll come good. It's easy to defend a striker as 9 time out of 10 they will find a bit of form and score some goals (Porter, Jukey etc) Humphrey on the other hand can't be judged on goals as thats not what he's primarily in the team for. He can only do his best in crossing the ball in but it just seems everybody jumps on his back for a poor one but dont acknowledge that a portion of his crosses are decent balls into the box, let down by a) nobody in the box or b) poor finishing from a striker (even though the striker takes the credit anyway if they score). He's a confidence player, lets try giving the guy some

Its pretty obvious the guy's a confidence player, when he gets his head up he plays reasonably well, he hits one shite ball then everybody gets on his back and the head goes down again. Lasley for me. If he could learn not to shit himself when he gets the ball in the final third, he'd be some player. To be fair though, he did hit a decent effort in the second half when we were back to trying to walk it in.

Proud as fuck to be a Motherwell fan to be honest The lads gave it one hell of a go and we were so unlucky over the 2 games, we just didnt get a break. It hurts to know we were the better team over 180 minutes but still came out on the wrong end. We'll create a fraction of those chances this season and we'll win out the park, thats football for you.
