    Inverness Away

Similar plans, only the train instead of the motor. Should be a belter. Looking like a hefty number of 'Well fans kicking about on the Saturday night...
  2. I'm rooked so I will be using my season ticket to get in. If there was a bucket I'd fire a few quid of change in though.
  3. Just got a text from a mate who popped up at lunchtime today to pick up his ticket for tonight. Latest update is the ticket office printer is broken.

    Michael Higdon

Spot on. John Hartson, Chris Sutton, Kris Boyd - all guys who played the same way as Higdon, and all guys who didn't get punished (and even regularly won fouls) because of who they played for.
  5. Never in doubt. Good away performance, bouncing away support. Right good day for those who went. Pleasing.
  6. Maurice Malpas might fancy a second crack at it.
  7. It's just no fun on here unless we're in apparent crisis.
  8. 2-1 'Well tonight - Higdon & Law for the good guys, Hibs goal from Pterodactyl-Heid.

    The Well Society

To be fair, if I was a player I doubt I'd be putting any money into it.
  10. It sounds crazy but it might just work.

Does anyone know when the annual fee is due to be paid? Is it every year upon the date you signed up, or is there a specific date they're going to take fees from everyone? I'd assume it was the former but with MFC it's better never to take anything for granted....

My point was more the fact that there doesn't seem to have been any particular format required for the written statements. I would have hoped for, perhaps, a few questions asked (or at least a few basic pointers given) so that each statement followed a similar format - meaning that each candidate could be properly compared. Instead, it's just a mish-mash.

Fair enough. I never intended to be a nominee so I didn't put much effort into finding out what was required at first. Seems a bit ridiculous to be to just copy and paste whatever folk have provided. I'd have hoped it would have been less of a mess and a bit more structured for something important like this.

Sorry if this has been asked before - I might have missed it - but what were nominees asked to provide? The information provided from the club looks like they've been asked something extremely generic and simple like "what would you bring to the Well Society?" or "why should be voted onto the Well Society?", resulting in replies from a couple of paragraphs to full blown CVs. Personally, I don't actually know if I'll be voting - I think the information provided on each nominee varies to such an extent that it seems completely unfair to make a judgement between someone who's answered a simple question as you'd maybe expect (with a paragraph or two in response) and someone who's supplied four pages of their CV.
  15. For me, one problem I have with McCall is that he seems to pick a formation for a match, whatever that may be, and then tries to shoe-horn as many of our best players into it as possible. Hateley is not a central midfielder and Jamie Murphy is not a left midfielder, but both are in our top eleven players and so both are squeezed into a line-up - out of position - in order to accommodate them. I have no doubt Ojamaa would be stuck in somewhere alongside the rest if it was possible. That has to change. Overall, Hateley is a better player than the likes of Carswell and Hetherington, but both those guys train and play every day in the centre of midfield. They may not be as good as Hateley with the ball at their feet or distribution wise, but they almost certainly will be when it comes to positioning and reading the game from the centre of the park because it's their job. It's time to drop the policy of playing players out of position purely because their seen as a first-team starters, and actually picking a line-up with the balance required.
  16. I organise friendlies on Football Manager all the time and I was in a real life fire drill once.
  17. Perhaps a slightly different issue but a good point nonetheless. I can't remember the last time I got to the end of a season and didn't find my season ticket book was still about two thirds full.
  18. This could have been a bit clearer via the official site over the last few days (as I was prevented from going into the ground by stewards as the match was already about to be abandoned), but the clarification is appreciated.
  19. That very well might be the case but it's not what the statement on the official site says.
  20. The most telling thing about this shambles is that I doubt any of us are particularly surprised.
  21. What are the chances of season ticket holders having to provide the ticket office with a voucher from their book in exchange for a ticket?
  22. Fuck knows. I'm in a similar position as I hadn't made it inside the ground before it was abandoned. There surely isn't any logical reason why the ST voucher from the match couldn't be used?! As mentioned though, the official statement suggests that I'll need to get to Fir Park at some point to get a ticket for a game I already have a ST match voucher for. You're faither will need to do the same. I've Tweeted the club for clarification.
