I was thinking the exact same thing! Opened up the thread after I saw Dazzer greeting in the Shoutbox and spent a few minutes looking for another post by Frazzle as that surely couldn't be it...
-
Goes without saying.
-
I for one am shocked that former-League One player Steve "Jennoe" Jennings has adapted to football in League One so quickly.
-
No. Humphrey went through and instead of cutting it back he toed it back to the keeper. The bizarre thing is, when you toe a ball you usually generate a fair bit of power but the Humph couldn't even manage that. As for Ryan Stevenson - that is a fantastic signing if it comes to pass. Thought the days of us being able to sign players like that were long gone.
-
Assuming it would be money (either up front or as add-ons) as well as Ryan Stevenson - rather than a straight swap - I'd be perfectly happy with that.
-
Agreed. If we could bring Ryan Stevenson in I'd be delighted. Far from convinced it'll happen though.
-
I take it then it's safe to assume that the game will be on in the pub?
-
Agreed 100%. Steering well clear of Derek Riordan is by far the only choice worth considering.
-
Indeed. Broadfoot takes a good amount of abuse from fans, but he'd do a great job for us.
-
Wouldn't even consider Derek Riordan. There are some players who may have additional issues which some managers can manage. There are other players who are just complete and utter fucking wasters who should be left to the scrapheap. Riordan undoubtedly falls into the latter category.

An outstanding Champ Man purchase indeed!

The claims that we should now get rid of Hutchinson for £300,000 because of the last four days are beyond ridiculous and don't even merit a proper reply.
-
Few good flashes but overall a pretty mediocre performance. We completely lost the midfield battle for the majority of the game which is going to cost you. Thought Kerr was very decent on his first start, Higdon was good both going forward and when needed in defence, and Hutchinson turned in a reasonable performance before the ordering off. Referee was an absolute joke, and at times we were far, far too deep while trying to hold onto the lead (having every player in our own half while the ball was on the edge of the St Mirren box before Hutchinson had even been sent off springs to mind). Playing defensively late on is one thing, but when at times you're so deep you don't even have an out ball you're just asking for wave after wave of attack - something that's going to cost you eventually. All in all, a point each was the correct result though. Undefeated in the SPL so far, over a few weeks which included midweek European ties, is hardly the worst start to the season.
-
Between Kerr and Higdon for me too. Opted for Higdon due to the defensive work he provided at times as well as his usual role. Could easily have went with Kerr though.
-
Cannae tie his shoelaces either. Anyway, I fancy us for a 2-1 win today.

Think you might be right, that rings a bell!

I agree that Ojamaa is very greedy at times and does appear to have a questionable attitude, but I wonder how much of that - if any, of course - is a result of his new-found 'stardom' at Fir Park. For me, he seems to be a bit full of himself both on and off the park at the moment. In a very short period of time he's went from being a relative nobody to being talked about regularly in our national press, capped by his national side, heavily praised for his immediate impact in the SPL, featured on Showboat on Soccer AM, had t-shirts of him sold in the club shop, inundated with Facebook friend requests, and, by all accounts, able to pump the vast majority of who he wants to while staying in the Popinjay! I'm not suggesting being a Motherwell player is comparable to being a well-known celebrity obviously, but it's still a lot in a short period of time for a young guy to take in. Hopefully his perceived attitude problems are more just a short-term reaction to him adjusting to that, rather than any long-term issues. Then again, he could actually just be a greedy wee shite.

Cummins for me. Decent performance, and special mention once again for wearing the blackest boots in the world.

I knew someone would probably spit the dummy, but that's beyond all expectations. Deary me. That's awful nice of you. Higdon was poor, just like everyone else. I'm not entirely sure what your point actually is there. However, I do congratulate you on acquiring enough football knowledge to be able to make that judgement. Well done you. Because we were shite. Again, I'm not entirely sure what your point is there. I've barely posted about the game on Thursday night, so you seem to be making some sort of assumptions regarding my thoughts on the game. Again, your point is a bit of a mystery. My suggestion that some Motherwell fans are clueless (just like a percentage of football fans of any club are, ultimately, pretty clueless - it's hardly breaking news) was a general point and not actually specific to last night. Therefore, whether this magical "they" thought we were pish poor or not is pretty irrelevant. And, again, I've barely posted about the match - so I'm not sure where I've been making excuses... etc. Agreed. Anyway, thanks for the reply. I was beginning to worry my post had been lost in amongst the post-match chat - I'm glad you were on hand to restore my belief that there's always someone on the internet waiting to throw the toys around.
-
Because a notable percentage of Motherwell fans are completely clueless about football.
-
It wouldn't be Motherwell without a few folk rushing home to fire up the Internet and blame someone.
-
Well that was pretty shite. Ach well.

Catch ye in there mate, we'll be in from 1!
