Who cares? Given the vast majority of the 16,000 turned up to our first Scottish Cup final in twenty years and sat in utter silence, I'm perfectly happy with 'only' 6,000 'Well fans going along and getting behind the team.
-
I don't even think it needs to be as complicated as that. He'll have his sights set on a low end Premiership club (however unlikely) or a Championship club. All these teams usually have money to spend. It makes no sense to commit to a side like Motherwell for 6 months just now, when he can wait until after the transfer window has shut and see what clubs missed out on their targets and need to turn their attention to the free agents market.
-
What decision has he to make soon? As far as he's concerned, he's training with us. If we offer him something, he'll either accept or reject it. It's hardly as though he's been in the media talking about how he might sign for us.
-
"Reckon it'll be a sell-out." "Well, not the South Stand as usually that's for away fans." So, in other words, given the South Stand holds about 4,000 or something, by "sell out" you mean we might end up with 9,000 odds (ie. not a sell out)?

If integrating a new player into the side was going to be a problem we could easily sign him and just leave him out of the team for Thursday.

Gary Harkins is a very talented footballer, but there's no way he's still only in his mid-20s.
-
Who cares? There'll be Levante fans shiting it just now discussing how Motherwell just beat Kilmarnock 2-1 away from home.

The reaction of 'Flow and his fellow commentator on MFC TV as Ojamaa ran without passing reminded me of the commentators going absolutely mental and screaming "FUCKING PASS IT TROJAN!" in Mean Machine.
-
Ojamaa being a greedy wee shite again.

Kerr on for Humphrey, joining Hutchinson and Cummins on the pitch. Wouldn't be surprised if the early signs are bad for Ramsden's injury, and McCall's giving Kerr a bit of experience ahead of Thursday...

No chance. In the last couple of seasons MJC has unfortunately went from a naturally pessimistic (and possibly depressed) yet sometimes interesting random on Steelmen Online, to a boring caricature of himself who obviously thrives on being "known" as Mr Negativity. Steelmen Online fame has changed him.

I agree that it's still very unlikely that McFadden will end up playing anywhere near Fir Park, but I really don't buy this argument. Anyone who's going to buy a ticket because of James McFadden will do so after he signs. Telling the media you're going to have a wee chat with him some point over the weekend is not a ticket seller. For the 'fans' who can only be arsed turning up for cup finals, European games or, presumably, to see James McFadden, showing a perceived tiny bit of ambition in speaking to a player is hardly going to be a big deal clincher. Anyway, it's opportunism, not ambition.

The Fir Park tannoy announcer and all round musical genius will be locked away in a room as we speak, working on a new mash-up of 2 Unlimited, Edith Piaf and this classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLWPyfpow2g

Nobody wants McFadden. That's the reality. Giving him a grand or two a week more than he's earning just now, complete with a miniscule minimum fee release clause is hardly as far fetched as some folk on here believe.

Not sure about the Player of the Year chat, but I definitely remember stuff about him being Tranmere captain when we first signed him. Captain or POTY is irrelevant though, he's been a League One regular in the past so for someone to now suggest he'll suddenly struggle is just bizarre.
-
Must be a League One thing that the rest of us foolishly don't know about.

That's exactly what I'd go with. As I said on another thread, at times we seem to be suffering from losing the confidence that Lasley and Jennings protecting the back four inspired in our creative players. The likes of Ojamaa, Murphy and Law would be able to take a chance, perhaps run at someone, attempt a killer pass or make a run into space, knowing that if it breaks down and they're caught out of position, we had two defensive midfielders providing the protection. With Law in beside Lasley, we lose that and I think it shows at times, with our attacking players far more likely this season to pass the ball across the edge of the box rather than looking for a cutting edge. Cummins has shown against Celtic and last week against Panathinaikos that he can at least handle himself in a competitive match. I'm not going to start proclaiming him as a first team regular, but in order to combat the problem above, I think we need to look at either bringing Carswell back into the side or moving Ramsden into central midfield. McHugh deserves a chance after a couple of goals in pre-season and the equaliser on Saturday. Ojamaa, on the other hand, continues to look out of sorts and perhaps just needs a few weeks on the sidelines to get his mind back on the game. Daley's just gash so shouldn't be involved. And I think Francis-Angol is a guaranteed starter for Hammell. I've liked what I've seen of him so far, looks a very fast, attacking full-back but also has a good desire to make sure he's back defending when needed. Therefore, my team would be: Randolph Hateley --- Hutchinson --- Cummins --- Francis-Angol Law --- Ramsden --- Lasley --- Murphy Higdon --- McHugh As for a score prediction, with the above line-up I think we'd be creative enough (thanks to a protected back four) to take the win. If we continue with the Law & Lasley central midfield partnership, I think we'll be picking up another point.

I love Google Translate:

Hutchinson will end up going if a bid over £600,000 comes in I reckon. If he played for Dundee United, they'd get over a million plus a number of add ons. Unfortunately we always go moist at the first sign of a half serious bid.
-
If that's the case then I think it's fair to say that a few English clubs have bought the media's claims that we're all on the verge of Armageddon.
