  1. It's always quite amusing when Celtic fans lie about 'Well fans singing Rangers songs so they can be all offended and vice-versa, but Rangers fans lying about 'Well fans singing Rangers songs is just fucking bizarre. Fucking idiots.
  2. I can't remember ever going to Ibrox and thoroughly looking forward to it! Usually I'd just turn up on the off chance we nick a result and an excuse to wind up a few easily-annoyed scumbags, but this is going to be outstanding! If you never go to Ibrox for whatever reason, Saturday is the day to make an exception... We're only here for the party!
  3. Any thoughts on collectively winding these bastards up (allied to the Smartphone Champions League music idea... )? The Hearts fans sat and read papers at Ibrox when they'd already qualified for the Champions League, and I know SCDave is taking his passport along! Any other suggestions!?
  4. Unbelievable. Never, ever did I think I'd see Motherwell in a Champions League qualifier. Absolutely delighted. Cannot wait for party time on Saturday.
  5. Week on Sunday?! The party starts at Ibrox on Saturday!
  6. I hope he is completely pissed off at being dropped. He'll never make it as a striker at a decent level if he isn't.
  7. Fair enough. It's all about opinions, I just don't agree. If someone has problems with the SPL but not any other competition, then that seems pretty straight forward to me, whether Europe is a direct result of the SPL or not. Should these fans also give the League Cup a miss on the basis that Motherwell are in it due to being in the SPL? Don't get me wrong, I could certainly understand people being annoyed at folk crawling out the woodwork for European games, but then that happens already anyway.
  8. Get this thread title edited and get the 'premature' to utter fuck!
  9. Fair enough. Everyone has their different opinions and situations. I think what needs to be kept in mind is that everyone considering chucking the SPL has unique circumstances - some will have young families, others will be struggling for cash etc - and perhaps they feel that this would scunner them enough that the sacrifices they make would no longer be worth it. It's not all as black and white as people are trying to make it. Personally, when I say that I will chuck the SPL if Rangers are welcomed back in without suitable punishment or without the opportunity being taken to make the league fairer, I am being 100% genuine. I am not being melodramatic or 'spouting hot air'. This is for the reasons I've already given. However, I'm also honest enough to hold my hands up and admit that come the first SPL game of the season I don't know if I could genuinely stay away. That's something I can't actually answer until it happens.
  10. You're generalising. I've already said that I personally will continue as I am now should Rangers face appropriate punishment or the opportunity is taken to make the league fairer.
  11. I wouldn't agree with that, no. For a start, it's entirely up to the individual whether they want to boycott the SPL games and hit European ties anyway, there's no rulebook here. These fans don't "need" to do anything. However, as I've said numerous times before, my main reason (admittedly among others) for giving up SPL football would be that I would simply lose the enthusiasm and excitement generated by genuine competitiveness, as I would feel that was pretty much chucked the moment a side proven of cheating for many years was simply ushered back into the league without facing substantial punishment. There's no competition in a league run that way. You could argue that there isn't much now but that, to me, takes it to an entirely new and unacceptable level. This is entirely the reason why I'm also very rarely at friendly matches. However, cup competitions - be them Scottish, League, Europe or any other - would still hold that certain level of excitement and anticipation to them and, allied to the fact I could never cut the chord from Motherwell entirely, I would attend those. Whether you agree with that or think that everyone who boycotts SPL matches should also stay away from European games isn't really relevant. There's actually no reason why anyone considering chucking it should have to justify their actions or fit into a preconceived notion of what is and isn't allowed next season.

    Snap Poll

Didnae notice this thread before I posted in the Shoutbox. But aye, I get where people are coming from with the whole 2nd place thing but I'll be perfectly happy to be guaranteed 3rd place within the next two hours. The idea of United winning tonight then playing at Tannadice full of confidence against a Celtic side that could be fielding fringe players or youngsters, given their season is over, gives me the absolute fear after all the good work we've done in the last two games! Especially when you throw in our record at Ibrox! The risk just seems too great for me and, personally, I reckon it outweighs the possibility of finishing 2nd. I absolutely love a gamble but this is one situation I'd be printing off the receipt and cashing in. Mon the vile, bigoted, knuckle-dragging, scumbag h*n bastards thanks.
  13. Given just about everyone who has talked about chucking it has referred solely to the SPL, I don't envisage too great a problem there.
  14. Tell you what, this could go to anyone! Sitting looking at the list of players just reinforces that, although there's been quiet spells for each player as you'd expect, every one of them has played a huge part and has been outstanding at times. At the moment I'm leaning towards Lasley, however I'm not going to vote just now - A. Because I can't actually decide for sure; and B. There's still two games left!
  15. Video from after the game last night... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xOAoVT-Adc
  16. Unfortunately I can't see it, but that would be outstanding.
  17. That's what I took from it too.
  18. Invaluable for us this season. The fact we have a few folk in our support who know nothing about football doesn't change that. Top man.

    Hearts

Top performances all round tonight, but I thought Hutchinson was absolutely top class at the back and epitomised our sheer determination to get the win.
  20. Looking forward to Saturday, only normally visit Ibrox and Celtic Park every so often but this is a must - Champions League Motherwell versus Administration Rangers = the stuff of dreams.
