  1. Just in. Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere, brave performance, outstanding result. My sincerest sympathies to anyone who didn't make Tynecastle tonight - tonight's game, both in terms of party atmosphere and result, will live long in the memory!
  2. Fantastic atmosphere tonight - I'm knackered.
  3. If the opportunity to completely revamp the SPL to make it a fairer playing field with more equality amongst the clubs is taken, then I've already said I'd take those factors into consideration when making my decision. However, those changes would need to be huge. If that isn't the case, then I will attend Scottiish Cup, League Cup and European games but will never be back at SPL football. My season ticket will be dropped and my Well Society membership will only last a year.
  4. Good news. Wouldn't read too much into the 71 tickets sold, I don't actually know anyone who buys a Tynecastle brief in advance. 5 of us heading through anyway.
  5. Ah of course, for some bizarre reason I took the 'they' in Andy's post to be Hearts rather than Motherwell! It's Monday...
  6. In fact, just clocked this from earlier on the MFC Twitter: Sounds like it's a goer then, at £23 and £15.
  7. Aye, the official site suggests that Hearts might sell tickets on the night (presumably if they can be arsed), but if they do then it'll simply be £23 for adults and £15 for all concessions (with no cheaper prices for U18s and U12s). That would be fair enough for a student like myself given it's £15 anyway, but that still suggests that there's the chance there will be no tickets on sell tomorrow night at Tynecastle. Bit of clarification needed either from Motherwell or Hearts.
  8. But not for concessions? Shambles.
  9. I assumed (and hoped!) so, but the official site doesn't make it particularly clear.
  10. I've been excited since Marty was getting the Champions League theme played in Daniels (sometimes twice in a row...) after home games way back in about October...
  11. A discussion. It's generally how football forums work.
  12. Can't agree. Scoring two goals (one of which was an absolute howler from the keeper) after coming off the bench in a game that's practically already won against defenders that have already been run ragged by Humphrey and co does not equate to an automatic starting place IMO, especially given no player deserves to be dropped.
  13. No, he's untouchable for Tuesday because he just had a very decent game in a cracking Motherwell victory and is an important asset to the team both defensively and offensively, even on an off day. Personally I find the idea of dropping him from a side that just won 5-1 in order to go with two small, lightweight attackers who are extremely similar absolutely mental.

    St Johnstone

Anyone who doesn't vote for Humphrey wasn't at the game.
  15. Aye. Of course the problem is that most folk on here will be going anyway, or have good reason not to (ie living abroad)!
  16. Celtic fan on Pie & Bovril claiming that it definitely happened because it's been on several football forums and Twitter. If you made these morons up in a work of fiction nobody would believe it was realistic.
  17. Thank fuck, I was beginning to think I was the only one.
  18. My highlight of the Celtic fans yesterday was me and Panda having an extra pint in the Leccy to let the hordes disperse before getting the train back to Blantyre and only succeeding in completely mistiming it so we were the only 'Well fans waiting on a train at Airbles with about 100 Celtic fans! We'd not even reached the platform before being threatened with stabbings.
  19. Correct. To be fair, I'm not going to claim it was entirely good-natured from the couple of 'Well fans - there were a few wanker signs and middle fingers, and can't say for certain whether there was any real malice in it. However, there were plainly no monkey chants. Either it was good-natured banter between Blackman and a few 'Well fans (it was only him involved contrary to that nonsense article), or a few 'Well fans tried to abuse him and he reacted like most footballers do by laughing at them. The story, however, is fiction. I'm not suggesting a Celtic fan rushed home in order to deliberately lie about Motherwell fans, I simply think he/she has seen a few 'Well fans interacting with a Celtic player who just happens to be black and have jumped immediately to the conclusion that it was racist abuse (perhaps throwing in made-up monkey chants for that sensationalist feel). That says far, far more about Celtic fans than it does about Motherwell fans. Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.
  20. There weren't any monkey chants I could hear and I wasn't too far away from the 'banter', so how any Celtic fan could hear monkey chants is a mystery. Basically, the story is completely made up.
