    Fir Park Dj Must Go

Pleased to see that the disgust in this sheer musical travesty is nearing a third page. We don't walk away.
  2. Good win, the march to second place continues. Anyone who still thinks Higdon is shite should just accept watching football isn't for them.

    Hibernian

    Higdon. Country mile.
  4. The boy who gets off on making shite remixes just outdid himself with a Proclaimers effort against Hibs. Sack this ghoul.
  5. I always find it hard to get particularly excited about big crowds at Fir Park. It generally just means massive queues to get in, no pies by the 10 minute mark, folk deciding to sit/stand where they always do despite their tickets being for elsewhere (admittedly that will include me), other folk getting pissed off that these folk are in their seats, the atmosphere being an anti-climax as there's still just the same folk singing, and, ultimately, usually a defeat for Motherwell. Still, good to have potentially a five digit number to band about next time the Currant Buns claim we need them to feed off their big away supports. And hopefully those who are turning up but don't usually bother will be impressed enough by our stunning march to Champions League football that they come back.
  6. Not to mention the fact that more fans doesn't mean a better atmosphere. The final was easily the worst 'Well atmosphere of the cup run, and some of the best atmospheres this year have been at the likes of Inverness away etc.

    Ojamaa

Agree with that 100%. I've actually not seen much difference, if any, to Higdon's game - but suddenly Ojamaa's actually there to feed off the big man's play.

    A Wee Song...

Aye, that day being in the summer.
  9. Think that just about sums it up perfectly.
  10. You missed out the smilie that confirms you're kidding.

    Vs Hearts

Hateley was absolutely terrible that day and played easily his worst game in a 'Well jersey. However, Omar Daley doesn't get away blameless either - his defensive positioning and awareness when on the wing is fucking chronic and he left Hateley exposed on just about every Hearts attack at Tynecastle.

    Vs Hearts

    2-0 'Well, Ojamaa & Higdon.
  13. SSN reporter outside Ibrox says that the timing is due to Craig Whyte needing to act quickly to ensure he will be the preferred creditor. Don't think any mention was made about Europe but it was hard to hear over Jim White's sniffs.
  14. I think it depends though. I agree that he's probably got a plan in place, but who is to say that it's not a long-term plan? I don't agree that the idea of him having a plan automatically means that they'll be in and out of administration within weeks. Craig Whyte is a business man, there's nothing to suggest that his business plan for Rangers isn't to be played out over a couple of years rather than days.

    Scottish Cup 2012

I fail to see what any of that has to do with Stuart McCall saying what every Motherwell fan, player and staff member was thinking regarding the cup draw.

    Scottish Cup 2012

A winnable home tie, and Celtic facing a tricky trip to Tannadice. Delighted with that.

    Scottish Cup 2012

That's roughly my thinking as well. If we come out the hat as the home team I'll be relatively content regardless of who comes out next. If we're to be the away side, then I'd rather avoid the obvious. As a compromise, I'll take Ayr United away (after they've beaten Falkirk) to ensure a very good chance of progression allied to a train day to Somerset.
  18. Aye, nae bother pal. Anyway, 2-0 win for 'Well on Saturday. I don't subscribe to this pish that because it's the cup suddenly there's a good chance we're going to lose to poorer opposition. Law and Ojamaa (obviously) on the scoresheet.
  19. You can argue all day how much Murphy is worth but comparing him to Goodwillie is simply a very poor comparison due to the fact that Goodwillie is a far better player. Chris Maguire would be a much better comparison IMO.
  20. I'd agree with that. Nowadays, the figure given (if it even is) is never actually the full details. If Murphy does indeed go, I'd fully expect there to be add-ons involved rather than just a straight forward payments.

    Scottish Cup 2012

Agreed. Cup day just means a win - could be a fantastic 4-0 win, could be an absolutely flukey 1-0 win with a scrambled injury time winner after being under the cosh for 90 minutes. As long as we're in the next round I really don't care.

    Dunfermline

    Agree with that 100%.
