I don't particularly subscribe to the idea of being particularly annoyed if we lose at Ibrox - regardless of scoreline - because I've grown up expecting us to lose there anyway. But the biggest problem I had today was the fact that we made guys like Sone Aluko and Lee Wallace look like top class players. Don't get me wrong, I'd fully expect both to get a first team game for Motherwell, but it's fucking frustrating when you watch Motherwell players treat Aluko in an Aberdeen shirt and Wallace in a Hearts jersey like any other SPL player, but as soon as they're in a blue kit at Ibrox, suddenly we shite ourselves, stand off them, and make them look like great footballers. Throw in absolute mince like Edu and Healy, and you soon realise that there's a perfectly valid reason why other sides can go to Ibrox and get a result. Overall we were terrible today, made worse by the fact that Rangers are a completely dire side - Celtic will win the title this season pretty easily, and by an absolute country mile if Jelavic leaves in January. Incidentally, I love how the Currants new wee singing section seems to have just adopted every song the Motherwell fans sing, with a few changes obviously - don't get me wrong, football songs by their very nature are very, very seldom original, but it seemed as though they'd actually come to Fir Park earlier in the season with tape recorders in a bid to adopt every single song from the East Stand.

Cards on the table, defeats at Tynecastle and Ibrox haven't changed my opinion that we'll finish third.

- We were shite. - Rangers were better, but still terrible as far as an Old Firm side goes. Celtic will win the league at a canter. - I hate h**s. Especially those on the train proclaiming Motherwell as 'God's country' despite on their way home from supporting the scum. - Censoring the word 'h**s' should be abandoned on here on account of being bent. Those are the main points from today.

If anyone's under 18 or an auld bastard and wants to go let me know. I bought a concession when I thought it would include students and although for most grounds I'd just use it anyway, the jobsworth stewards at Ibrox will be looking for any reason to chuck 'Well fans out as always. As I put money on Sunderland to win in play with 25 mins to go, paying the extra for an adult brief at Ibrox if I can shift the concession, and thus not needing to deal with any jobsworth c***s, wouldn't be sniffed at!
-
Bought a concession for Ibrox as I just assumed it covered students, realised on Friday that obviously it doesn't. Normally I wouldn't care but as it's Ibrox, complete with it's fantastic jobsworth mutant stewards, I'm wondering whether I'll even see kick off!

I never questioned that it was 'pretty important', I merely stated that claiming it was a 'must win' was nonsense - which it was.
-
That is never been how it works and I fail to see why it would come into play in this case. Steve Jennings was given a two match/fixture/game ban and therefore automatically misses the next two competitive matches, it doesn't matter who they are against or whether a game gets postponed and never has. He will therefore be suspended for Ibrox.

Don't usually go to Ibrox, but a few of us are making this one. An excuse for a bevvy in town pre-match, a h*n-Safari on the subway, and then have a sweepstake on who manages to make it to the final whistle without being chucked out. I'd be going with: Randolph Clancy --- Hutchinson --- Craigan --- Hammell Daley --- Carswell --- Lasley --- Law --- Murphy Higdon Might seem a bit harsh to drop Hateley as he has been very decent all season, but his performance at Tynecastle was extremely poor and at times it's worth reminding players that, even with quite a small squad, players will still be dropped if they under-perform. I'd also bring Carswell into the team as Hughes is simply not capable of doing the defensive work Jenno does. Anyway, I'll take a point.
-
When has a ban ever been for particularly agreed fixtures? A two match ban means a ban for the next two competitive fixtures which means Jenno will miss Ibrox. Given this has been the case for as long as I can remember, I'm surprised anyone is even questioning if he's going to be available.

After years of rightfully getting pelters for having a shite pitch which caused games to be called off, we eventually get that completely sorted - and now we're getting games abandoned for fires in the South Stand and matches postponed for bits of the stadium being blown away.
-
I would as well, but to claim that we need the three points on Saturday is just nonsense.
-
We're seven points clear of the side in 4th place that we just humped 3-0, and we're eleven points clear of Hearts in 5th with a game in hand. If we're serious about challenging for 3rd this season, we just need to keep doing what we're doing. We don't 'need the 3 points' in the slightest.

I've had to go for Higdon. Absolutely outstanding performance. Didnae score, so probably unnoticed by most, but won everything - be it knock ons or bringing others into play - and played a big part in any move forward. Played the sole striker target man role perfectly. Didnae score but. So booooooooooo.

I mind when away days used to be a chore. Not this season. Outstanding away day yet again. Might chuck the home ties.

Is the 'hottest property coming out of Estonia' the sign of a good player like? Who was the last player with that label? Mart Poom?
-
Are there student prices for Saturday? I've not been to McDiarmid in quite a while (and not since I went back to being a lazy student) - I noticed on the official site it just lists OAPs as Concessions, but no mention of students...
-
If McCall was even considering such a nonsense line-up I hope he'd at least let us know via e-mail so I could find something else to do on Saturday.

Ian Wright actually on the verge of tears after Norn Iron had beaten England was fucking glorious.

Hiya Neil. Hiya pal.

I was talking to two coppers back in the city centre a couple of hours later. They'd been at the game and were perfectly sound. Pointed out that we perhaps didn't do ourselves any favours by reacting, but admitted it all came about because of the arsehole stewards - 'absolute joke' was what one of them called it. Same old story really. I often find that the police at football matches are actually pretty decent, it's the jobsworth stewards on a power trip that do far more harm than good. Incidentally, I will be very disappointed if the club don't at least acknowledge the harsh treatment of fans who'd travelled up.

I don't think McCall rates Forbes at all going by his team selections and substitute choices. I think we can assume Carswell is probably now ahead of Forbes in the queue as far as the first team goes and I'd be surprised if that isn't the case when it comes to Saturday's line up (if Law is injured and Hughes isn't yet match fit).

Och, and here was the Trust thinking they could just delete their embarrassment of a post and no one would notice...

I see the original post has been deleted. Shambles.
