Stephen Craigan is an absolute fuckin' legend.
-
I'm thoroughly looking forward to the first time either Reynolds or Craigan use their experience and expertise to decide not to challenge the big guy up front, instead deciding it's a better option hanging back and looking for the second ball - only to be hounded by the East Stand for not challenging him.
-
Don't worry, Marc Fitzpatrick's almost back from injury.
-
I cannot express in words just how much I want us to sign Esteban Casagolda.
-
Indeed. And if all he did was pluck a random story about a random player from somewhere, then he's fuckin' psychic.
-
Of course not, Humphrey is already slotted in place for Scapegoat 2010/11.

No danger, I cannae believe I was 12 at that game! It surely wasn't that long ago!? Okay, I blatantly know it was late-90s - but still! To be fair, Eric Garcin's free-kick was a belter!
-
The absolutely perfect example of one of those results you'd have definitely taken before hand, but afterwards you're gutted!
-
Flowdo's updates are quality! "88mins - C'mon 'Well - plllllleeeassseeee hold on! "
-
The game plan is going perfectly then!

I fucking hate text commentary. It's almost as bad as when I was about 6 or 7 and used to get dragged to the House of Fraser in Glasgow by the parents for shopping when Motherwell were playing away. They'd just leave me in the TV department and I'd sit for 90 minutes just staring at a tele waiting on the Teletext to change.
-
Can't believe I've only just bothered to read this thread. In all seriousness though, my season ticket renewal for the coming year now hinges exclusively on whether or not Estaban Casagolda becomes a 'Well player.

The overall context of the tie is that Briedablik are playing their first ever tie in Europe. Regardless of the opposition, that provides the grounds for some of their fans to view the match as a massive game. By dismissing a club's first ever European qualification the way you are shows that you are completely out of touch with those of us much further down the football food chain. No one is arguing that Motherwell against Breidablik is a glamour tie for either set of supporters (and no one has said a bad word about the Icelandic fans who didn't travel), every argument has been that you simply don't have the right to dismiss the idea that Icelandic fans might see their first jaunt into Europe as a huge event on the basis that a Man Utd fan sees it as "just a Europa League qualifier". But for some reason you just don't seem able to get your head around that. You are going on about how so many people on here are struggling to understand a simple concept, when it's blatantly you who is having the difficulty or, more likely, just doesn't seem interested in actually reading what others are saying. If Motherwell get to the playoff stage of the Europa League I, like the majority I would assume, will view the tie as a mammoth event for the club - even before the opposition has been drawn.
-
Where has anyone on this thread suggested the Icelandic fans are actually treating the game as a glamour tie? The chat about glamour ties only began because you claimed that a mere Europa League qualifier couldn't possibly be considered one, and people simply pointed out that that's utter nonsense. Plus, who are you to say that the Breidablik fans don't view the game as a massive game, "as if they can't form a judgement for themselves" (your words, not mine)? It seems that you showing yourself up as the arrogant, patronising twat that you are just becomes more and more a regular occurance on here, the only difference is you can no longer hide behind the excuse that it's just the same folk on here that pull you up on it - as pretty much everyone is now beginning to see just how ridiculous you actually are. FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM. Braveheart x

100 is not too bad a number - at times we've had teams like Inverness Caley struggling to bring 100 to Fir Park for a league match, so the same amount heading over from Iceland in this financial climate is to be applauded! Anyway, I'm still just trying to get my head around the fact it's only a week til the match!
-
Nice to hear from you Bliki, always good to hear from fans of our European opponents! I won't be making the away leg unfortunately but I was there for the Scotland game in 2008 and I left having fallen a little bit in love with Iceland so I'll definitely be back at some point in the future! I've kept an eye on Icelandic football for about ten years now ever since I had to proof read an article on KR on my work experience (when David Winnie of all people was manager!), so this should be an interesting tie! But yeah, feel free to stick around and chat!

Won't be going as I can't afford the both the cash or the holidays after booking everything for Lithuania & Czech Republic, but I'd recommend Iceland to anyone thinking about it (assuming you can afford £10 for a double vodka). I fell a little bit in love with Reykjavik. But aye, far too expensive a place but a cracking country all the same.
-
Happy with those. Although, as has already been posted, there's a chance they could be ruined by the sponsor.
-
Bought not a ticket for our POTY?
-
Is there anywhere you haven't posted this!? Not that I'm complaining, being the 2nd player involved in the build up!!
-
Fucking belter. Been boozing since noon but heading into town soon. Reckon I might be skint buying any United fan I see a pint. Fuck yer "mon the staggies" patter. The European bandwagon is now ready to depart. All aboard.
-
Delighted. I just hope that Ross County do the decent thing and play some pre-season friendlies on the same nights as our European games, so every Motherwell fan has a game to go to.
-
Get fuckin' in there. Hopefully United have this in the bag. Thoroughly looking forward to all the 'Well supporting Ross County fans jumping on the "European Tour" bandwagon at full-time. UNITED! UNITED! UNITED!
