Up until today I was adament that I was split between wanting the underdogs to win, or wanting United to do us a favour. But today I've realised I couldn't give a toss about County. Motherwell playing in Europe vastly outweighs a First Division team I don't support winning a major trophy. UNITED! UNITED! UNITED!

Delighted at the news he's not leaving, very disappointed that it's only a one year deal. He's an outstanding player and I fully expect him to have a great season next year. I now also fully expect him to leave for nowt next summer, which is very disappointing given we won't be able to at least cash in.

Likewise. Decent SPL-level player. Don't think he'd get a look in at the moment ahead of Lasley & Jennings, not to mention Coke & Hateley (if they stay), but definitely a very capable back-up player to have available. And that's even if he'd be content to be just a back-up player.

Forbes and Murphy will be desperate for Fitzpatrick to return to the first team. The East Stand is getting restless at not being able to take it's frustration out on a young scapegoat, and both Murphy and Forbes look next up in the queue.
-
Can't you get trafficlight on your back? Incidentally, on the subject of Fitzpatrick - I genuinely reckon if he'd played against Hibernian we wouldn't have conceeded six goals, because we were desperately missing someone in that defensive-minded position.
-
Ruddy for me. Jutkiewicz's poor start put me off a bit, Sutton's been great but not quite PotY, O'Brien's had some outstanding moments but continues to flatter to deceive most of the time, and Hateley looked like he could have been in a shout to begin with but hasn't stood out enough over the course of the season. I actually believe that Jenno would have stood a chance of romping it if he'd been playing week in week out, but his lack of chances under Gannon and perhaps slight lack of fitness at the start of the season rules him out.

From the team that started yesterday - Hammell, Craigan, Saunders, Jennings, Sutton. Humphrey, Forbes & Murphy if we're including the subs that came on.

I flirted with the idea of trying to join as the money was good but that idea was quickly ditched a couple of months ago. I've not actually phoned up to cancel my interview next month though. When I do and they ask me why, I might just quote your post word for word!

Nah mate, the ginger copper sitting about three yards away was staring at the 'Well support so hard during the game I was scared my phone would have blown up if I pointed it at him.
-
If anyone finds that quiz a bit too easy, you could always play "Spot The Police Officer Remotely Interested In The Home Support" which is somewhat harder.

Thought we could take our minds off of the nervousness and worry regarding the Scottish Cup Final on Saturday with a wee Monday afternoon teaser. So all aboard for a wee game of "Spot The Hüns In The 'Well End". Believe it or not, in the following picture there are two Currant Buns in the Motherwell end who have infiltrated the away support in order to witness the quietest title party in living memory. Let's see who can spot them. "Spot The Hüns In The 'Well End" is brought to you by the Jeremy Kyle Show and Kyle Lafferty Hair Salons.

A manager should be entitled to put out whatever team he wants, regardless of any other team's situtation. If Dundee United, who have easily secured 3rd place, wish to rest players ahead of the Scottish Cup Final then so be it. Tough titties.

Jamie Murphy. His introduction changed the game.

Just back from the game, albeit via a few pubs. Gutted we've finished 5th, but to come back from 3-1 own at Ibrox to take a point is a right good result regardless. Nice to see O'Brien jumping over the advertising boards to launch his shirt into the travelling support amidst the boos from the h**s, and Jutkiewicz looked genuinely gutted to be leaving when applauding the 'Well fans after the game. Anyway, I don't care what any Currant claims, the Comeback Kings took some shine off their shitey title party (and what a fucking shitey title party it was - it must be absolutely dreadful to be a h*n) and that's a bonus at least. Highlight off the park had to be "Spot The h**s In The 'Well Support". EDIT: Can we please get rid of this awful "H-U-N" swear filter thing once and for all!?

And here's me spending my Saturday afternoon watching the shite Killie v Falkirk game.

Ruddy Saunders -- Craigan -- Reynolds -- Hammell Hateley -- Jennings -- Coke -- O'Brien Sutton -- Jutkiewicz As I said earlier, my predictions are for Rangers to win 2-0, but Hibs to lost 1-0 at Tannadice to give us a brief few minutes of celebration at the end of the game before we all head to the boozers leaving the knuckle-draggers to sing "Rule Britannia" and wank themselves dry over their football team winning another title, thus making their own tragic, pointless existances seem worthwhile for ten, maybe even fifteen minutes. Looking forward to it!

Had completely forgotten I had a few videos from Wednesday night!! Anyone who knows me will probably notice I'm at the complete opposite end of the East Stand than normal. That's because my plan to leave at 6-2 was interupted when I went for a piss during which we scored, resulting in us (thankfully) ditching the exit plan! Started filming this while the players were just making their way back to their own half following the celebrations. The observant amongst you will notice that the last video was taken from the back stand and this from the front... Also a cameo from the steward you picked up my phone after I dropped it!! And the traditional lap of honour at the end of season.

I think I've watched this about 150 times! It's basically the Motherwell equivalent of Peter Martin's commentary of Faddy's goal in Paris! And who are the legends in hi-viz vests going apeshit in front of the Main Stand?
-
Heading through to Ibrox on Sunday but expecting a defeat. I'm fully expecting the news coming through from Tannadice to be far more important that what's happening on the pitch in front of us! 2-0 to the Currants, with an understrength United side managing a 1-0 win to send is into Europe.
-
I am officially addicted to the highlights from last night.
-
Don't usually go to Ibrox as I don't want to give those c***s the money, but the buzz from last night was just too much!
-
Even the folk at my work know exactly what happened as I don't think I shut up about the game all day!
-
Right, so, aye... anyone mind the Motherwell game last night?
-
Superb thread! The big man puts so much effort in for the cause and does so much work for the team, as well as popping up with a good few goals! Is my memory playing tricks, or did St Mirren fans tell us he was lazy when we first signed up!? Mon the big chap!
