Not sure about that at all.
A few of the stories I've been hearing for months from people who deal with Craigan on a regular basis through here in the Tyre suggest that one of the reasons for the falling out between gaffer and manager was Craigan's decision to stand up to Gannon when he was absolutely slating some/most of the team (which, given the average age of our squad, would almost certainly include a lot of the younger players).
I wouldn't actually be that surprised if the younger players have more respect for the "old guard" than they did for Gannon, especially given the reports of singing in the team bus and parties in the changing rooms.
